Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer

Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer Review Belle Amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer | £10.99 | LINK

I feel like using a face primer definitely helps make or break your entire makeup look. With just a small amount, these wonder products can help smooth out pores, wrinkles and even help mattify or brighten your complexion - and of course not to mention help your base products last much longer! For years now I've been a fan of both Benefit's Porefessional and Soap & Glory's Feel Good Factor. Whilst these both work really well for my skin, I wanted to change things up a bit for Spring and find something that will give me a boost of radiance and give me that sought after glow.

On a recent trip to Superdrug I spotted this little bottle at the Bourjois stand. This is the Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer that is said to help give your skin a lovely dewy glow whilst also keeping your makeup stay put all day. There is also a mattifying version of this primer which would be great for oilier skins, but as I have drier skin I'll always go for something that will brighten and hydrate my skin!

Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer Pump Review Belle Amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

The Happy Light Primer comes in a sleek glass bottle with a pump and a cap. At £10.99 I would expect lovely packaging like this and it definitely is a pretty product to have sitting on your dressing table. I also love the fact its pink, so it was an instant winner for me!

I picked up the Happy Light Luminous version of this primer so this product offers to illuminate your complexion, hydrate the skin and provide a smooth base for your makeup. The product itself is quite light weight and slightly runnier than I expected. As this is a serum primer and the fact it offers to hydrate your skin, it has more of a moisturiser consistency rather than a thicker primer like Benefit's Porefessional. It does blend into the skin really nicely and leaves it feeling soft and supple.

I find that once I've blended this primer into my skin, there isn't a massive difference in how radiant my skin is. I was expecting this product to give me a really lovely glow, but as there's no shimmer in the primer, so the effect it leaves is just a fairly dewy moisturised look. On its own this would look lovely and does give you an illuminated complexion, but once I apply my foundation the affect is kind of lost. The best way I've found for this primer to give you glowy skin is if you actually mix a small amount into your foundation when you apply it. It helps lift my satin finish foundations into more of a dewy/ glowy finish, which is great when you fancy a change!

I wouldn't say it makes any massive difference with minimising pores or filling in fine lines so I wouldn't recommend this if that's what you're looking for. I would say this is a product for someone who wants a nice moisturising base that can offer hydration, smooth skin and a bit of radiance.

Applied directly from the bottle | Fully blended into the skin

As this primer does smooth out my skin and make it feel softer, it allows my makeup to apply nicer and I can definitely see that it helps keep it in place for most of the day. I don't feel like this is a miracle product but it is one that's nice and lightweight for the Spring and Summer to help boost your skin's appearance. I do wish it had a bit more "grip" to it so that it could help keep my makeup looking amazing all day (like the Porefessional does) as the wear time isn't the best. I will continue to use this in my makeup routine as I have been enjoying it recently, but I don't think this is something I'd repurchase!

I hope you enjoyed today's post! I will speak to you again during the week!

Review | Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lip Lacquers

Bourjois-Rouge-Edition-Velvet-Lipstick-Lip-Lacquers-So-Hap'pink-Peach-Club-Belle-Amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lip Lacquer | £8.99 each | LINK

You may have seen in my latest makeup haul that I picked up some new Bourjois lip products and over the past few weeks I've been trying them all out! I picked up a couple of the Rouge Edition Velvet Lip Lacquers as I thought they looked like the perfect lip product for Spring to create a bright and bold lip! Bourjois have recently released an Aqua range to these lacquers which give more of a glossy shine than these velvet finish ones, however I much preferred the colour range and pigmentation of the velvet ones, so that's why I picked them up!

Lip lacquers are an amazing cross between lipsticks and lip glosses and typically have super impressive staying power! I love trying different lacquers from different brands as there's so many formulas and shades available on the high street - Soap & Glory being another favourite of mine! Keep reading if you want to find out how I got on with these Bourjois editions!

The 2 shades that I have are So Hap'pink which is a gorgeous bright yet dusky pink that is really flattering on the lips. It offers that bright, bold colour yet the dusky element takes that edge off of the colour making it so much easier to wear! The other shade is Peach Club which is a lovely bright coral/ peach that is totally my sort of shade for the Spring time! This shade definitely looks much more intense on the lips compared to So Hap'pink and even though it's called "Peach" I would say it sways more to the orange/ coral side.

These lip lacquers come in cute little lip gloss tubes and come with a doe-foot applicator. I find these sorts of applicators the best as they're easy to use and can reach all those small areas like the Cupid's bow and the inner corners of the lips creating a flawless finish!

The colour pay off of the Rouge Edition Velvet Lip Lacquers is absolutely amazing and I've been so impressed about how intense and bold they look on the lips. If you're not as confident to wear these lacquers so boldly, you can also apply a small amount to your lips with your finger as this gives a softer stain like finish that can be built up to your desired look.

Like many lip lacquers I've tried, these give your lips that semi-matte/ velvet finish which I do really like. Sometimes I don't want a glossy lip, so these little lacquers are perfect for when I want more of a matte finish! Despite the fact that they are matte, I don't find these to be uncomfortable on the lips and to be honest, I sometimes forget I'm even wearing them! The only problem with them being matte is that you need to make sure you apply a lip balm before applying them and just to keep an eye on your lips throughout the day as the matte finish can look slightly drying after a couple hours. But this is easily fixed but applying a little bit of balm over the top - I find the Body Shop Born Lippy's in Strawberry or Raspberry are really good layered over the top as they help add an extra pop of colour and shine!

Bourjois-Rouge-Edition-Velvet-Lipstick-Lip-Lacquers-So-Hap'pink-Peach-Club-Swatch-Belle-Amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog

These lacquers honestly have some amazing staying power and will last me pretty much all day - even after eating or drinking! I've found that these will start to fade after 4-6 hours, but the colour doesn't go patchy and has more of an even wear compared to some lip products I've tried! If you want a lip product that you don't have to worry about touching up all the time then these lip lacquers will be perfect for you!

I've really been enjoying these Bourjois lip lacquers and I'm definitely thinking about trying some more shades! I might have to go back to Boots and test out the Aqua lip lacquers again and see if there's any shades from that collection I need to try. Let me know if you have any shade recommendations in the comments below!

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons Autumn Edition Red Island Plum Russian Review Swatches Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello everyone! A few months ago I wrote a review about some of the Color Boost Lip Crayons from Bourjois' original line of lip crayons. They have now brought out 2 new shades for the Autumn and of course I had to pick up both of them! The Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons have to be one of my favourite lip products I've tried as their formula is so lovely and I find the shade selection is really good - everything from oranges, pinks and now to berry tones. The 2 new shades that Bourjois has released are perfect for this time of year which is how I knew that I had to have them both in my collection! I will go into some depth about their formula just in case you haven't read my last post (which you can read by clicking here).

The 2 new available shades from the Bourjois lip crayon range are: "Red Island" and "Plum Russian". Red Island is a gorgeous bright red that I think will be absolutely perfect for Christmas time. If you're one to shy away from wearing bold red shades then this lip crayon should help ease you into wearing them a bit more. As it has a balm finish, the colour isn't as intense as a regular lipstick so you should find it a lot more comfortable to wear! Plum Russian is a beautiful deep berry shade that's amazing for both the Autumn and Winter months. I've been wearing Plum Russian both during the day and at night and I have to say it's such a versatile shade to have in your collection. Again as it has that balm like finish, the colour isn't so "in your face" yet is still pigmented and gives your lips a good amount of colour. I think the 2 shades that Bourjois have brought out are really nice and both of which are colours that I like to wear on a regular basis at this time of the year.

As for the formula of the Color Boost Lip Crayons, they're a mixture of a lipstick, gloss and balm. They have a really lovely colour pay off with a glossy and moisturising finish, so these are the perfect lip products to pop in your handbag for touch ups throughout the day! They say that these last for around 10 hours which I wouldn't completely agree with but they do have a really good staying power considering they are just lip crayons. They also have a SPF of 15 which is perfect for protecting your lips from the sun all year round!

Finally the packaging of the lip crayons is really nice. The colour of the tube is the same colour as the actual product so you can always find the shade you're looking for if you're rummaging around in your drawer of lipsticks! They also wind up by twisting the silver part at the bottom of the tube which means you don't have to sharpen them. I also find that the lids are very secure and never come loose when they're in my handbag which is great!

Overall I absolutely love the new Color Boost Lip Crayons and I can't wait to see what shades Bourjois might bring out next season - hopefully some pastels for Spring! I think these are one of the nicest lip crayons on the market and I really don't mind parting with just under £8 per crayon as they really are worth the money. Thank you for reading and don't forget to check out my last review of the original shades from Bourjois's lip crayon range if you want to find out more about them shades!

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons Red Sunrise Orange Punch Peach On The Beach Swatches Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely start to your weekend! Today I'm going to be reviewing some of my new favourite lip products; the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons. On a recent trip to Boots I spotted that the Bourjois stand had a 3 for 2 offer across all their makeup, so I snapped up 3 of these lip crayons plus a free pair of sunglasses - £16 well spent I think! I have never actually tried any form of balm stain before and after hearing so many raving reviews from other bloggers, I knew that I had to jump on the bandwagon and finally try them out.

The Bourjois lip crayons come in 4 different shades: Red Sunrise, Orange Punch, Peach On The Beach (the 3 I have) and Fuschia Libre. All of these shades are perfect for the summer and are great for adding a hint of colour to a makeup look. Red Sunrise is a pinky red shade that is very pigmented considering it's just a balm stain. Orange Punch is an orange tint that almost transfers as a coral when applied to your lips. This is a very pretty everyday orange shade and is good for those who wouldn't want to wear a bold bright lipstick. Finally (and probably the most famous out the bunch) Peach On The Beach is a beautiful peachy pink shade that gives a tint of colour to the lips and is perfect for everyday.

These lip crayons are kind of like a mixture between a lipstick, lip balm and lip gloss - they have a very soft and smooth formula which gives a lovely amount of colour and shine to the lips. They're not at all sticky and just feel like you're wearing a smooth lip balm. They also have a really nice fruity scent which is subtle and pleasant. One other thing I like about these lip crayons is that they also have SPF 15 so will help keep your lips protected from the sun. Finally Bourjois claims that these lip crayons are water-proof and will last on your lips for a massive 10 hours!

At first I was very sceptical about this claim as I thought these lip crayons wouldn't be that strong - but they are! I am so impressed with the formula of these lip crayons and they literally stay on your lips for a good few hours even after eating or drinking. Red Sunrise is definitely the most impressive out of the 3 I have and is always the shade that seems to last the longest. As for the other 2, they don't last as long but I think that's because their colours aren't as strong or pigmented so I do find I have to keep replying them throughout the day.

As for the packaging, each lip crayon comes in a tube of the same colour as the actual product. To get more product out the tube you simply twist the bottom silver part of the tube. You also get a fair amount of product - much more than the average lipstick so these are really worth £7.99.

Overall I am so impressed with these lip crayons! In fact, I've been rather impressed with a lot of Bourjois' latest beauty releases and I would also love to try their bronzing primer - it sounds amazing! I would highly recommend you trying out the Color Boost Lip Crayons, especially if you're after a wearable product that will give your makeup a hint of colour for the summer.

June Favourite's Bourjois Sleek Real Techniques Belle-amie

Hello lovelies, I hope you've all had a great weekend! So once again, we've come to the end of another month and it's time for me to show you the products I've been loving. It's crazy how fast this year is going, but I'm so happy it's finally July because it means I'm going on holiday this month! I really can't wait to have a relaxing week in the sun, drinking cocktails and sitting by the beach - it's going to be amazing! Anyway, before I get myself completely distracted and start holiday clothes shopping again (it's been a regular occurrence recently I must say), let's get on with the post.

Bourjois Cream Blush in 02 Healthy Glow | LINK
If you've been reading my blog recently you would know that I do enjoy a good cream blusher for Summer. I find that they look a lot more natural and sit better on my skin during the warmer months. One that I've been reaching for a lot this month is my Bourjois Cream Blush in 02 Healthy Glow and I have to say, it's one of the nicest blushers I own! It gives a gorgeous orange glow to my cheeks which is perfect for the Summer time. I'm actually quite annoyed that I like the Bourjois Cream Blushers so much because I think they're just so expensive for the size they are! I would love to try Rose Tender which looks like a pretty rosy pink, but I don't think I could spend another £7.99 on a tiny pot of blusher! These blushers are definitely worth trying, but I'd recommend picking them up when they're on offer.

Sleek Face Form Palette in Light | LINK
Next up is my Sleek Face Form Palette in the shade Light that I picked up last month. This palette has a powder bronzer, highlighter and blusher all in one which together to help contour your face. I've been using this everyday, especially the bronzer, to give my face a bit more definition and shape. I love how easy to blend out all of the powders are and it's such a lovely palette to work with. I'm going to review this palette soon so if you're interested, do keep an eye out!

Benefit The Porefessional | LINK
When I first tried Benefit's The Porefessional, I didn't really see what the big deal was. But a few weeks ago I decided to give it another go and now I have fallen in love with how it leaves my makeup and skin looking and feeling! I apply this mainly in the centre of my face (such as my nose, forehead and chin) and then blend it outwards. Once I have applied my makeup, my skin look so smooth and soft, I just love it! Luckily I have a few of these little sample sized tubes, so I don't have to rush out and buy the full size just yet!

Essie Nail Lacquer in Bikini So Teeny [Review] | LINK
My favourite nail polish this month has to be Essie's Bikini So Teeny! Any time that my nails have been painted, it's been this gorgeous cornflower blue shade that is perfect for Summer. I picked this up recently from Fragrance Direct for just £1.99 which is an amazing deal, especially as it's been a shade that's been on my wish list for ages!

Real Techniques Contour Brush | LINK
Finally, my last favourite this month is the brush I use to apply the contour shade from my Sleek Face Form Palette, which is the Real Techniques Contour brush. This brush fits perfectly into the hollows of my cheeks which makes contouring a lot easier. It also blends out the bronzer very well making it look much more natural. All of the brushes I've tried by Real Techniques are amazing quality and are by favourite makeup brushes by far!

So these are a few of the products I've been really enjoying this month. I hope you enjoyed this post and I would love to know if you have been liking any of these products as well!

My "No Makeup" Makeup Routine

My No Makeup Makeup Routine Look Belle-amie
I am wearing THIS dress, I promise haha!
Hello everyone, long time no talk! Well, I haven't posted in a few days but it feels like forever! I wanted to start quickly with something completely off topic of today's post. In a few weeks time I will be going on holiday for a week, so I thought it would be a great time to let some of you guest post on my blog. I'm looking for a few beauty or fashion bloggers to write any post they like (as long as it is beauty/ fashion related) so that my blog doesn't look so bare whilst I'm away - plus it's a great way for people to find new blogs to read! If you have some free time on your hands and would like to be a guest poster, please feel free to email me (belle-amiebeauty@hotmail.com) to discuss all the details! Anyway, on to today's post..

So as we come into the Summer months, I like to change up my makeup routine a little bit. On hot days or when my skin is behaving a little better, I like to do a minimal makeup look so that my skin can breathe and I'm not uncomfortable wearing a full face of makeup. I like to call this is my "no makeup" makeup routine as the end result is very natural and glowy looking; as if I wasn't wearing makeup!

Benefit The Porefessional | LINK
Whether I'm doing a full face of makeup or my minimal look, I always prime my face first. I've recently been reaching for my Benefit The Porefessional and I'm absolutely loving it! When I first tried this I didn't really see what the big deal was, but after trying it a couple weeks ago I noticed how smooth my skin looked after applying my makeup. I apply this with my fingers and concentrate it on my forehead, nose and chin as this is where I need it most and then blend it out on the rest of my face. It leaves my skin feeling soft and ready for the next step!

Dr Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm | LINK
Before trying this BB cream, I was completely against the whole idea of them! I hated the one by Garnier and really didn't get along with the Maybelline one, I found that they were far too orange for my skin. However, the Dr Jart Water Fuse Beauty Balm has completely changed my opinion on BB creams as this is the nicest one I've tried! It looks like a normal foundation shade and it matches my skin colour so well. Plus, the satin finish is lovely, definitely a lot nicer then the greasy, oily finish I get from other BB creams. I apply this with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and I find a little goes a very long way! It feels light on the skin but gives a lovely coverage and with SPF 25, this is a Summer staple!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 Fair | LINK
I'm pretty sure everyone has heard about this concealer and I for one love it! I feel like I never need to find a new concealer again as this has every thing I need covered (excuse the pun). I have the Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1 Fair and find this perfect for applying under my eyes to cover any darkness and discolouration. I also apply it around my nose and chin to even out any redness. As I do this makeup routine when my skin is pretty much clear, I don't need apply this to any blemishes, so this helps keep my makeup lighter and more natural looking. I simply apply this with my fingers and then blend out with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

Bourjois Cream Blush in 02 Healthy Glow | LINK
Cream blushers are perfect for the warmer months as they're much lighter on the skin and look very natural. I've been loving my Bourjois Cream Blush in Healthy Glow as it does pretty much what it says, gives my cheeks a healthy glow! I'm really in to my orange blushers at the moment and I find the formula and pigmentation of this blusher is perfect. I apply this to the apples of my cheeks with my Real Techniques Stippling brush and then blend it out towards my temples. This way it gives a really natural and glowy finish.

Stila Angel Light Powder Foundation in Shade B
During the hotter months, I know that some people hate to wear powder on their face as it can get patchy and uncomfortable in the heat. However, I find it essential to wear at least a small amount of powder to help decrease the shine on my face. The Stila Angel Light Powder Foundation offers light coverage and a SPF of 26 so is perfect for the Summer months when you really need to protect your skin! I apply this with my Body Shop Face & Body brush and I concentrate it on my nose and chin.

Urban Decay Naked Basics* [Review] | LINK
I featured this little palette in my last monthly favourites post and I talked about how much I've been loving doing a simple eye look with a bolder lip. The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette is perfect at creating a simple, natural eye look that doesn't look or feel heavy in the warmer months. I apply Walk Of Shame all over my lid with my Urban Decay Flat Shader brush. I then work a bit of Naked 2 and Faint into my crease and outer corner with my Prestige Shadow brush. For the inner corner and brow highlight I use Venus with my Real Techniques Detailer brush which is perfect for applying small amounts of eye shadow. Finally I use a tiny bit of Crave on the tip of my flat shader brush to create a shadow liner, just to make my lashes look fuller.

Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara in Superjet Black [Review] | LINK
Next up I use my favourite mascara which is Soap & Glory's Thick & Fast Mascara. I find that with just one coat, your lashes look much longer and have a nice amount of volume to them. I like this finish with this makeup look as it doesn't make your eye makeup look heavy and your lashes still look natural. I find this mascara doesn't smudge or wear off on warmer days and I think this is a perfect makeup product for all year round!

Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie [Review] | LINK
Finally, I find Revlon's Lip Butters are the perfect lip products for minimal makeup looks as they're so moisturising and give your lips a hint colour. The shade I reach the most for is Berry Smoothie which is a natural berry pink that would suit any skin tone. For me, it's a "your lips but better" shade which is why it works so well in this makeup routine!

So these are the products I like to use to achieve a "no makeup" look that is perfect for Summer or days when I don't feel like wearing a load of makeup. I hope you enjoyed this post and please do remember that if you'd like to be guest poster, simply send me a email!

Hello everyone! If you read my latest post or follow me on Twitter, then you would know that there have been a few bits and pieces of makeup that I have wanted to try out. This is a bit of a collective haul as there are some products that I picked up a couple weeks ago as well as some that I bought last weekend. Some of the main pieces I wanted to try were couple of blushers and the Sleek Face Form Palette, so I'm very happy to have found them and can't wait to try them out!

InStyle - Nails inc Polishes in "It's Red, Babez" and "You're A Peach" [£3.90 each]
Now, if you read my blog on a regular basis then you would know I'm obsessed with Nails inc polishes! I think they're brilliant quality, the colour range is amazing and they're definitely my favourite brand of nail polish! With this month's InStyle magazine, there is a choice of 3 Nails inc freebies. I chose the red and peach shades as I have far too many pinks in my collection to need another one! So far I'm really liking these polishes, especially "You're A Peach" - a definite must have colour for Summer!

Elle - Benefit They're Real! Mascara [£4.00] LINK
I'm pretty sure every blogger and their dog either own this magazine freebie or have at least heard about it. I have tried the They're Real! mascara before and wasn't 100% sure whether I liked it or not. It felt quite dry and uncomfortable on my eyes, but I loved the way it made my lashes look. I thought that for just £4, I may as well give it another try; hopefully it'll work better this time!

Marie Claire - Avon Super Shock Gel Eye Liner in "Black" [£3.90]
Believe it or not, I have never tried a gel eye liner before despite hearing so many good things about them. I spotted this liner in Marie Claire and thought for around £4, it was worth a try. I'm so impressed with this liner! It's incredibly pigmented and black and literally stays on your eyes all day! If you're in need of a new black liner, definitely give this a go!

Sleek Face Form Palette in "Light" [£9.99] LINK
I have been searching for a contouring kit for a while now and had my heart set on trying this little palette. The Face Form Palette comes with a matte bronzer, a shimmery highlighter and a blusher in "Rose Gold". I thought this kit would be perfect for travelling with, especially on holiday, as it's so compact and contains everything you need for contouring. The 3 shades are very pigmented and I cannot wait to try this out!
Also, a few people said to me that the original Contour Kit is discontinued - it's not! When I asked the lady in Superdrug to help me find this palette in "Fair" I actually saw a load of the Contour Kits in the drawers underneath the stand. I asked why they weren't out and apparently it's because they didn't have enough display space! So if you want to try the Contour Kit (£6.49) and can't find it, just ask someone in Superdrug to have a look for you!

Topshop Cream Blush in "Head Over Heels" [£6.00] LINK
Finally, I have dipped my toes into the world of Topshop blushers and I have to say, I love them! This is a gorgeous bright coral shade and looks beautiful once blended out into the skin. I can see this being perfect for Summer as it gives my cheeks a pretty, natural orange glow. I have now added the shade "Flush" on my to wish list (will this list ever end haha?) which is a very pretty rose pink.

Bourjois Cream Blush in "Healthy Glow" [£7.99] LINK
After reading way too many raving reviews, I finally caved and picked up one of the new cream blushers by Bourjois. At first I thought these were way too small to be worth £7.99 and that I didn't want to waste my money. However, I was able to pick it up for free in the Superdrug 3 for 2 sale so I wasn't too fussed. I haven't tried this blusher yet, but I can't wait to see how it looks on my cheeks! I don't think I'll be picking up any of the other shades as at the moment because I think they're quite over priced, but you never know, I could change my mind!

Makeup Academy Mosaic Bronzer in "Sunkissed Glow" [£2.50] LINK
This is another product that I've read a lot of reviews about and thought I should finally add one to my collection. I don't own many bronzers so I thought this would be a nice one to try out, especially that it has pinks and lighter shades in. "Sunkissed Glow" gives a really healthy glow to my skin and works well as both a bronzer and blusher!

Real Techniques Stippling Brush [£10.99] LINK
Real Techniques brushes are amazing, I already own the Core Collection set and thought I should branch into the other brushes they have to offer. As I've been wearing and buying cream blushers recently, I thought the best option was to go for the Stippling brush. The bristles are very soft and apply my cream blushers like a dream! I'm so glad to finally have this brush in my collection and think it was well worth investing into.

Milani Eye Shadow Quad in "04 Earthly Delights" [£1.00]
I have never tried the brand Milani before but I've heard some good things from American bloggers. I found this little eye shadow quad in my local Poundland and thought I would give it a go. The shades are all very neutral, earthy colours and I think they all work very well together. The shadows are nicely pigmented so this will be a handy little palette to have in my collection.

Topshop Lips Lipsticks in "Ditsy" and "Crystal" [£8.00 - £9.00 each] LINK | LINK
My two final products I picked up are my new Topshop lipsticks in "Ditsy" and "Crystal". You may have already seen "Crystal" (right) in my What's inside my beauty bag post, but I thought I would include it in this haul too. This lipstick is a glittery pink shade reacts to the PH of your lips to create a unique shade of pink that suits you. This is a gorgeous lipstick and looks amazing in the tube! "Ditsy" (left) is a lipstick that I haven't seen or heard much about but I decided to give it a go. It's a beautiful hot coral shade that applies so smoothly to the lips. I can't get enough of this lipstick, it's just so lovely to wear! I highly recommend you to pick up both of these shades for this Summer, I think they're going to look amazing!

So this is all the makeup and nail polish that I have bought recently. I hope that you enjoyed this post, sorry that it was super long! As usual, if you have written a haul post recently please do leave the link the comments below, I love reading them!

Have you bought anything the same as me? What are your thoughts on it?

My Everyday Makeup

I love reading blogs and watching videos about what makeup people use on daily basis so I thought I would give you a peak into what is in my makeup bag! I have dry/ normal skin and I am quite sensitive to some products, so I tend not to switch around on items too often once I’ve found something that works for me.

Face makeup
Max Factor Xperience Weightless Foundation: 45 Raw Silk
A great foundation that is oil free and light weight so it doesn’t clog up your pores. This foundation is light to medium coverage, but can be built up to a much fuller medium coverage. I apply this with my Lydia Professionals F-010 foundation brush which I purchased from eBay.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer: 2 Light
This product is raved about so much and personally I think it deserves all the hype it gets! This concealer is a heavy coverage product that blends really nicely. I use this on blemishes and under my eyes.

Natural Collection Loose Powder: Neutral Translucent
Natural Collection is such a great brand. All the items are under £2 and their products, like the powders, work so well for me. This powder isn’t cakey feeling and leaves my skin quite matte. I apply this with my Body Shop Face and Body powder brush.

Natural Collection Blusher Powder: Pink Cloud
A great light pink blusher. I apply this with a Cosmopolitan blusher brush from Superdrug.

Eye makeup
Urban Decay Naked Pallet
One of my favourite makeup pieces of all time! I’m sure you’ve all seen this pallet and heard great reviews about it. I like to use Virgin (a shimmery white/ pink) on the lid and Naked (matte light brown) in the crease using the flat eyeshadow brush that comes in the pallet and a Prestige Shadow Sweep #104 brush.

Bourjois Eyeshadow Duo: 16 Crazy baby
This product was given to me by my friend and I don’t think they sell this anymore but the white shimmer colour is great as an inner-corner highlight.

M.U.A Eyeliner Pencil: Rich Brown
I love this eyeliner it’s so pigmented and creamy so it’s great to put above the lash line. M.U.A eyeliners are only £1. I would recommend checking them out, especially the brown as it’s much more natural looking than applying a black liner.

Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara: Glam Black
I remember getting this a couple of years ago and the first time I used this mascara I was like WOW! It makes my eyelashes so long and thick, it’s a staple in my makeup bag.

Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara: Black
This mascara does exactly what it says on the tin (well tube). It makes my eyelashes so volumised and black I just can’t live without it!

Lip makeup
Revlon Colourburst Lipbutter
When I heard about these being released in the US I wanted them right away! They eventually came out a few months later in the UK whilst Boots had a 3 for 2 offer on all cosmetics, so naturally I bought 3 in one go (Tutti Frutti, Berry Smoothie and Strawberry Shortcake). They’re so moisturising and have a lovely colour pay off!

These products create a natural look that is perfect for daily wear such as for college or sixth form. I hope you enjoyed this post and helped you if you’re looking for any new makeup to try out!

What are you makeup must haves?

Amie
