Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer Fair 1 Review Swatch Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely start to your weekend! I'm trying to get back into the swing of writing up some good old reviews of a few of my favourite makeup and beauty products. So I thought I would write one today about a makeup item that has been in my everyday routine for a very long time - even before I started blogging! The Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear concealer is a big hit amongst many bloggers mainly due to how cheap yet effective it is. After years of having this in my collection, I thought I would finally give you my thoughts and opinions on this wonderful product!

The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer comes in a small plastic tube similar to a lip gloss. It has a soft doe foot applicator which helps minimise wastage as you can apply (either directly to the skin or with your finger) as much or as little as you need for your skin. It's definitely not the most fancy packaging out there, but for just over £4 you are getting what you paid for! Collection offer 4 different shades of this concealer which are: Fair, Light, Medium and Deep however I've recently seen they are doing Cool and Warm versions of certain shades which allows this concealer to be used on a wider range of skin colours and tones. It has a very natural finish, not too matte or dewy, so it's great for all skin types too!

The shade I use is "Fair 1" which is the lightest shade available and personally I find that this matches my skin colour and tone perfectly. I used to use the next shade up, but after a while I realised it was much too dark and orange for my fair skin, so I decided to try out the lightest shade available. As it is quite a light shade, I find that this is a great concealer to use under the eyes as well as over blemishes as it can help illuminate and brighten the eye area. I like to use this concealer to cover any form of blemish on my skin from dark circles to spots and even redness. I find that it covers all of these problem areas up really well yet still leaves a natural looking finish. If my skin is quite dry however, I can find that if I apply too much of the Lasting Perfection concealer it can start to cling to the drier areas. The trick is just to apply a small amount to a dry area and blend it into the skin with your fingers as the warmth from them will help melt the concealer into your skin!

As for the overall formula of the Lasting Perfection concealer, it has a fairly thick consistency yet is really easy to blend into the skin. It offers medium to almost full coverage yet if you just apply a small amount, you can easily get away with a very natural yet flawless looking complexion. If I'm having a good skin day then I will usually just apply a small amount just to even out my skin slightly then pop some powder on over the top and I'm good to go! I will also use this concealer on a night out when I want that fuller coverage, so this shows that the Lasting Perfection concealer is very versatile and can be used in any kind of makeup look! In terms of how long this concealer lasts on your skin, I find that I very rarely have to touch up my makeup throughout the day (only if it's very hot)! I don't often wear my makeup for 16 hours so I don't know if Collection's "16 hour wear" claim is true, but I can say that the concealer does last until I take it off at night which is good enough for me!

Overall this is a fantastic makeup item to have in your collection. It's definitely not the most luxurious product out there but it does a really good job of covering up blemishes - for £4.19 you really can't go wrong! I think this concealer would be perfect for people who are starting out and experimenting with their makeup as it's so affordable and effective.

Have you tried the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer?

I am wearing THIS dress, I promise haha!
Hello everyone, long time no talk! Well, I haven't posted in a few days but it feels like forever! I wanted to start quickly with something completely off topic of today's post. In a few weeks time I will be going on holiday for a week, so I thought it would be a great time to let some of you guest post on my blog. I'm looking for a few beauty or fashion bloggers to write any post they like (as long as it is beauty/ fashion related) so that my blog doesn't look so bare whilst I'm away - plus it's a great way for people to find new blogs to read! If you have some free time on your hands and would like to be a guest poster, please feel free to email me (belle-amiebeauty@hotmail.com) to discuss all the details! Anyway, on to today's post..

So as we come into the Summer months, I like to change up my makeup routine a little bit. On hot days or when my skin is behaving a little better, I like to do a minimal makeup look so that my skin can breathe and I'm not uncomfortable wearing a full face of makeup. I like to call this is my "no makeup" makeup routine as the end result is very natural and glowy looking; as if I wasn't wearing makeup!

Benefit The Porefessional | LINK
Whether I'm doing a full face of makeup or my minimal look, I always prime my face first. I've recently been reaching for my Benefit The Porefessional and I'm absolutely loving it! When I first tried this I didn't really see what the big deal was, but after trying it a couple weeks ago I noticed how smooth my skin looked after applying my makeup. I apply this with my fingers and concentrate it on my forehead, nose and chin as this is where I need it most and then blend it out on the rest of my face. It leaves my skin feeling soft and ready for the next step!

Dr Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm | LINK
Before trying this BB cream, I was completely against the whole idea of them! I hated the one by Garnier and really didn't get along with the Maybelline one, I found that they were far too orange for my skin. However, the Dr Jart Water Fuse Beauty Balm has completely changed my opinion on BB creams as this is the nicest one I've tried! It looks like a normal foundation shade and it matches my skin colour so well. Plus, the satin finish is lovely, definitely a lot nicer then the greasy, oily finish I get from other BB creams. I apply this with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and I find a little goes a very long way! It feels light on the skin but gives a lovely coverage and with SPF 25, this is a Summer staple!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 Fair | LINK
I'm pretty sure everyone has heard about this concealer and I for one love it! I feel like I never need to find a new concealer again as this has every thing I need covered (excuse the pun). I have the Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1 Fair and find this perfect for applying under my eyes to cover any darkness and discolouration. I also apply it around my nose and chin to even out any redness. As I do this makeup routine when my skin is pretty much clear, I don't need apply this to any blemishes, so this helps keep my makeup lighter and more natural looking. I simply apply this with my fingers and then blend out with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

Bourjois Cream Blush in 02 Healthy Glow | LINK
Cream blushers are perfect for the warmer months as they're much lighter on the skin and look very natural. I've been loving my Bourjois Cream Blush in Healthy Glow as it does pretty much what it says, gives my cheeks a healthy glow! I'm really in to my orange blushers at the moment and I find the formula and pigmentation of this blusher is perfect. I apply this to the apples of my cheeks with my Real Techniques Stippling brush and then blend it out towards my temples. This way it gives a really natural and glowy finish.

Stila Angel Light Powder Foundation in Shade B
During the hotter months, I know that some people hate to wear powder on their face as it can get patchy and uncomfortable in the heat. However, I find it essential to wear at least a small amount of powder to help decrease the shine on my face. The Stila Angel Light Powder Foundation offers light coverage and a SPF of 26 so is perfect for the Summer months when you really need to protect your skin! I apply this with my Body Shop Face & Body brush and I concentrate it on my nose and chin.

Urban Decay Naked Basics* [Review] | LINK
I featured this little palette in my last monthly favourites post and I talked about how much I've been loving doing a simple eye look with a bolder lip. The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette is perfect at creating a simple, natural eye look that doesn't look or feel heavy in the warmer months. I apply Walk Of Shame all over my lid with my Urban Decay Flat Shader brush. I then work a bit of Naked 2 and Faint into my crease and outer corner with my Prestige Shadow brush. For the inner corner and brow highlight I use Venus with my Real Techniques Detailer brush which is perfect for applying small amounts of eye shadow. Finally I use a tiny bit of Crave on the tip of my flat shader brush to create a shadow liner, just to make my lashes look fuller.

Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara in Superjet Black [Review] | LINK
Next up I use my favourite mascara which is Soap & Glory's Thick & Fast Mascara. I find that with just one coat, your lashes look much longer and have a nice amount of volume to them. I like this finish with this makeup look as it doesn't make your eye makeup look heavy and your lashes still look natural. I find this mascara doesn't smudge or wear off on warmer days and I think this is a perfect makeup product for all year round!

Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie [Review] | LINK
Finally, I find Revlon's Lip Butters are the perfect lip products for minimal makeup looks as they're so moisturising and give your lips a hint colour. The shade I reach the most for is Berry Smoothie which is a natural berry pink that would suit any skin tone. For me, it's a "your lips but better" shade which is why it works so well in this makeup routine!

So these are the products I like to use to achieve a "no makeup" look that is perfect for Summer or days when I don't feel like wearing a load of makeup. I hope you enjoyed this post and please do remember that if you'd like to be guest poster, simply send me a email!

Evening Makeup | SHF False Eyelashes Review

Evening Makeup FOTD SHF False Eye Lashes 0074 Review Belle-amie

In my last post I mentioned that I was going out for a meal to celebrate my mum's birthday, so I've decided to show you what makeup I wore out that night! This look is a dark brown smokey eye with full, volumised lashes and a nude pink lip. It's very easy to wear and is my "go-to" type of look for when I go out during the evening.

Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer (Review HERE)
Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 100 Ivory
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light 2
Stila Angel Whitening Powder Foundation in Shade B
Benefit's She's So Jetset Makeup Kit: First-Class Face Powder for blusher
Benefit's Sha La Lovely Makeup Kit: brown eyeshadow for my brows
Urban Decay Naked Palette: Sidecar for the lid and Darkhorse for the outer corner (Review HERE)
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette*: Faint for the crease and Venus for inner corner and brow highlight
SHF False Eyelashes in Style 0074*
2True Effortless Eyeliner in 01 Black
Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara in Superjet Black (Review HERE)
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 206 Nude Pink

I decided to go with a pair of SHF false eyelashes in the Style 0074 as I found these very natural looking yet still gave my lashes added length and volume. The lashes themselves are quite thin, but have a criss-cross design that helps give a lot volume and definition to your lashes. They also have smaller lashes in between the larger ones which also helps with volume. I did have to trim them down a little bit so they would fit my eye as I don't like lashes going right into the inner corner. But this does mean they should fit quite a few eye shapes and sizes. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the adhesive that came with the lash set as I couldn't pierce the seal with the lid (I'm far too weak haha) to get the glue out, so I used one that came in my beauty kit that's by Salonsystem.
These lashes are meant to be lightweight and comfortable to wear which, at the start, I did agree with. However, after about 2/3 hours, the edges of the lashes were beginning to dig into my eyes and became really uncomfortable. I had to take them off! I was quite annoyed by this because I loved the way they made my lashes look. In the end I just reapplied some more eye liner and mascara and left my look at that.

As much as I liked how these looked on me, I don't think I'll be trying these lashes again or the rest of the range as they are either very dramatic or colourful. I think these lashes would be great for fancy dress or for making your eyes the feature point of your makeup. But personally, I don't think these are for me.

Have you tried SHF false eyelashes before?

Makeup | Christmas

Christmas day is always such an exciting day to do my makeup, I feel like I have to use every piece of makeup I got that day! I also got the Real Techniques Core Collection brushes which I was so excited about! So far I'm really liking them and I used them to create this look.
I thought I would make a quick little post showing what makeup I was wearing this Christmas.

Stila Angel Whitening Powder in Shade B
Bloom Cosmetics Mineral Blusher in Rosie
Benefit Sha La Lovely brown eye shadow (for my brows)
Benefit She's So Jet Set Makeup Kit - They're Real mascara and Champagne please, Pretty in mink & Elegant espresso eyeshadows

As you can see I went for neutral eye shadows and nude lip with big lashes. I decided to wear a pair of Eylure Naturalite Lashes in Super Full 100. I only ever wear lashes on special occasions, and of course, this day was! I loved the length of these ones and they made my lashes look so much fuller. These lashes do come with an adhesive, which is okay but obviously not the best. They lasted a good amount of time and I think they really made my makeup look complete.

Hope you had a lovely Christmas!

Mini Haul | Beauty

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Lace £2.99 | Pantene Ice Shine Hairspray £2.99 | Aussie Limited Edition Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner £4.99
Primark Natural Look Lashes £1 | Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19 | Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara £7.19 | Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara £10
Recently, Sainsbury's had a 3 for 2 offer across all hair care products, so I decided to pick up some new things to try. Firstly I picked up the Aussie Limited Edition Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner as my hair has been feeling very dry at the moment, particularly at the ends. I absolutely love Aussie products as they always leave my hair silky smooth. This conditioner has eucalyptus and avocado oil in to "pamper your hair beyond the bounds of decency". It smells great, my hair feels soft after use and it leaves my curls very defined. Next I needed a new dry shampoo and I decided to try the Batiste one in Lace. I've heard some nice things about this product and I think the bottle is very pretty. So far I've been loving this! I've used it quite a lot this week and leaves my hair feeling fresh and smelling lovely. The final hair product was the Pantene Ice Shine hairspray. I used to use about a year ago, but I always change up on hairsprays because I usually buy what's on offer. I really like this hairspray. It's made for fine hair, which is what I have, so is strong but doesn't leave your hair crispy. I also find it sprays nicely, like a fine mist.

The next few beauty items are from a couple of shopping trips. I picked up the Primark Natural false lashes as I needed something to practise putting on eyelashes with and I heard in one of Kate's (dollybowbow) videos that these were pretty good! I also picked up my all time favourite concealer, the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection in Light 2. This concealer lasts me ages and gives a full and even coverage every time. If you haven't given into the raving posts/ videos and bought this product, I urge you to now! Next up are my two favourite mascaras, Maybelline's Colossal Volum' Express in Black and Soap & Glory's Thick & Fast mascara in Super Jet Black. I can't fault either of these products! They apply so well, give a volumised, full and long lash and also last really well throughout the day.
Love, love, love!

Tag | How Much Is My Face?

Earrings Miss Selfridge | Top New Look
I've seen this tag post on quite a few blogs and I wanted to see how much my face makeup was worth. I did this on a day where I wasn't planning to make this post, so is genuinely what I would wear if I was going out in the day. Just so you know, my eyebrows aren't as weird as they look in the picture, it's just the dodgy lighting!

What I am wearing:
Rimmel Fix & Perfect primer in 002 - £6.99 (review HERE)
Max Factor Xperience foundation in Raw Silk 45 - £9.99
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer in light 2 - £4.19
Stila Angel Light powder in Shade B - £1
Bloom Pure Mineral blush in Rosie - £2.99
Benefit Sha La Lovely brown eyeshadow for my brows - Gift
Makeup Academy Eye primer - £2.50
Urban Decay Naked palette: Virgin, Sin & Toasted - £36 (review HERE)
2True liquid eyeliner in 1 - £1.99
Maybelline Colossal Volume Express mascara in Glam Black - £7.99
Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara - £2
Makeup Academy lipstick in Shade 8 - £1 (review HERE)
Barry M limited edition lip gloss - £4.49 (review HERE)

Total: £81.13

That's not as bad as some other posts I have seen! Rather pleased with myself. To be honest, I do use a lot of magazine freebies and Poundland products, so I haven't used the RRPs of them! I also haven't included brushes, but if you would like a post about my daily makeup brushes or any reviews then do leave a comment.

What's In My Makeup Bag

This is my makeup bag which contains the majority of my everyday makeup items, a few brushes and a couple extra items. I usually take this to college when I know I'll need touch ups throughout the day.
This pink floral makeup bag is from Primark and was probably about £2.50.

In my makeup bag I have:
Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in 170 Coral Reef
Benefit The Pore Fessional
Benefit Bag Gal Lash Mascara
Blistex Relief Cream
Nivea Creme
Collection 2000 Shimmering Glow Powder on 4 Espresso (mini review HERE)
Stila Angel Light Powder in Shade B
Elite Models Beveled Blush Brush

That's quite a lot of products! If there are any products that you would like a review on, just leave me a comment below and I'll make sure I do!

September Favourite's

Hello ♥
I feel like I haven't written a proper blog post in weeks, so I have decided to do my September Favourite's. I've had loads of favourites this month, so this might be quite a long post!

Revlon Sheer Translucide Nail Enamel in 910 Barely Peach
Now this may look a bit familiar because I have just given away a very similar colour in my giveaway called Scene Stealer. I love using this polish on its own as it gives you a clean, natural manicure look. As I can't wear nail polish to college (which is really annoying!) I secretly use this instead to make sure my nails are strong, look clean and are shiny. It's also a great base coat as it's almost clear, just a tinge of nude.

Revlon Super Lusterous Lip Gloss in 170 Coral Reef
This is probably the best lip gloss I have ever come across. I don't usually wear lip gloss because I don't like the overly shiny affect it gives my lips, but the finish of this Revlon gloss is perfect. It does add shine to your lips, but not too much. I also adore the colour and looks great when applied alone or over a coral lipstick. The smell isn't bad too, so overall is a brilliant product!

Eyelash Curlers
I'm really annoyed at myself right now because I have no idea what brand these are! I picked them up in TK Maxx the other day for £2.99 because I was in need of some new ones and fell in love with the colour haha! They perform really well and feel quite sturdy. I use these every time I curl my eyelashes, which is usually every time I wear makeup!

Accessorize 'A' Initial Ring
I bought this at the beginning of the month and remember it being a bargain at £4 from Accessorize! I love dainty and personalised jewellery as it can go with any outfit. It's so simple but the twisted band and the basic lettering make it look so cute on.

Accessorize Knotted Ring
This is another of my all-time favourite rings. Again, it's so simple yet looks so nice on. I usually wear this if I am wearing my 'A' ring, which seems to be the only ring combo I've been wearing all month!

Bloom Cosmetics Angled Eyeliner and Blending Brush
Bloom has been a great brand for me this month. At my local Superdrug they were doing a clearance on the brand so everything was under £2.99! Considering the RRP of most of their products is around the £14 mark, it was a great saving.
Firstly, the eyeliner brush. This was reduced to 99p when I bought it which was amazing as I have been looking for a brush like this to apply brow powder/ eyeshadow to my eyebrows! It's been working amazingly and is great quality!
Secondly, the blending brush. This was reduced to £1.99, which is still a bargain! I don't actually own a blending brush and have just been using a cheap, fluffy eyeshadow brush to do the job. I love this new brush, it blends so effortlessly and is so much better than what I've been using!

Collection 2000 Shimmering Glow Powder in 04 Espresso
You may have seen in my recent review of the Collection 2000 Bronzing Kit that I do not own many bronzers. Well, I went back into Poundland recently and found some more bronzing products, so I bought this powder and the bronzing balls (both by Collection 2000) to give a go. I love this powder! It gives warmth to my cheeks and is great to use for contouring. Also, you only need a little bit so this will last a long time!

Bloom Cosmetics Pure Mineral Radiant Touch Blusher in Rosie
Another Bloom product I found in the clearance section reduced to £2.99. As this is a mineral blusher, it looks so natural when applied to the cheeks. I've been loving this to warm up my cheeks and give me that rosy glow you get in the winter months.

Hope you enjoyed this post! I will try and get back into the swing of posting regularly.
What are your September favourite's?

Review | Collection 2000 Complete Bronzing Kit

The other day I came across the Collection 2000 Complete Bronzing Kit in Poundland and thought it looked pretty good to try for £1. I don't own many bronzers, and I thought this would be a nice product to try out as it contained 5 pieces of makeup to create a bronzed look. These are: 2 golden brown eye shadows (one light and one darker), a bronze cheek/ lip/ eye cream, a glitery orange lip gloss and a bronzer.

The packaging of this product is really neat and compact. It's not very strong and I don't think it can take a lot of dropping damage. I like the fact the product has 2 layers (you flip up the layer with the eye shadows etc to reveal the bronzer) with decent sized products in. It also includes a mirror which is inside the lid. This makes it a great product to take travelling as you can create a bronzed look from this palette alone. This palette doesn't come with any brushes though, but for the eye makeup and lip gloss, you can just use your finger.

The quality of the actual makeup is okay. I wouldn't spend the RRP of £5.98 on it, but it was a bargain for £1! The darker eye shadow and the bronze cream are nicely pigmented, however the lighter eye shadow and the lip gloss aren't that pigmented, just a bit shimmery. The bronzer is okay, and for lighter skin tones, warms up the face well. It also contains a bit of gold shimmer, so makes the face appear brighter in the light. However the powder products (eye shadows and bronzer) are a bit powdery and do not apply smoothly or blend together easily. I also think you need to wear a primer, or use the cream product as a base, for the eye shadows.

Overall I think this palette would be nice to take on holiday or use during the Summer so that you can create a subtle, daytime, bronzed look to compliment your tan. If the quality and pigmentation of the makeup was a bit better, then this product would be amazing. But for now, it's just an okay product that I will probably get some use out of, but not a lot.

Hope this review was helpful! Have you used the Collection 2000 Complete Bronzing Kit before?

Mini Haul | Primark & Poundland

Black Studded Clutch - Primark £6 | Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in 170 Coral Reef - Poundland £1 (RRP £7.49) | Collection 2000 Angelic Eye Palette - Poundland £1 (RRP £4.19)
I had to go to town today to pick up a few more bits for college (which, by the way, is going really well and we start learning treatments next week!), so I popped into Primark and Poundland to see if I could catch any bargains!

The first thing I found was the black studded clutch from Primark. I've seen these around before and read that they are Topshop 'look-a-likes' of the suede clutch bag, which is £32 more expensive! Primark also do a 'blush' version of this clutch, but I have so many light pink clutches that I thought I should get a staple black one. I might go back and pick up the other one though because I think it looks much nicer in the pink colour. The only thing I don't like is that there isn't a zipper compartment in the bag which would be great to keep your money and phone safe on a night out.

Next I got two makeup items from Poundland (again - I'm obsessed). First is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in 170 Coral Reef. This is a lovely semi-opaque coral colour which isn't sticky on the lips and hasn't got a horrible smell. It's a lovely to wear on its own during the day and I think would look great over a lipstick for night! If I see any more colours of this lip gloss, I will definitely be picking them up!
Lastly, I also found this Collection 2000 Angelic Eye Palette. There are 9 pastel eye shadows which are claimed to "last for up to 8 hours and are crease resistant". I'm not too sure about this as most the colours aren't that pigmented and I feel that you would definitely need a primer. However I'm willing to give this a go, and if you'd like to see a review, just leave me a comment!

Have you got your hands on the studded clutch from Primark? Or are you lucky enough to have the Topshop version?!

Haul | Poundland Makeup

Collection 2000 Skyscraper Length & Definition mascara RRP £4.99 | Revlon Scented Nail Enamel in 355 Mad About Mango RRP £6.49
The first two things I found in Poundland were the Collection 2000 Skyscraper mascara and a Revlon Scented nail polish in 355 'Mad About Mango'. The mascara is nice and makes your lashes very black, but because the consistency is quite wet, I find it clumps my lashes together. I probably wont buy this again but it was nice to try for just £1. However, I really love this nail polish! It's a bright coral/ orange and when it's dry, smells of mangoes! I'm quite surprised to see this still on the Boots website, so I feel like I've grabbed a great bargain!
Stila Angel Light Whitening Powder Foundation Refill in Shade B | Stila Tinted Moisturiser in Light
My next Poundland buys were another Stila powder foundation and the Stila tinted moisturiser. I love the powder foundation and it has become my everyday powder, so I'm planning to stock up on these because I'm sure they'll be out of stock soon! I was also able to find the tinted moisturiser in the shade 'Light', so I thought it would be great for summer! It's a light coverage and because the colour is a little bit too light for my skin tone, it feels like it brightens my skin when I wear it.
Sally Hansen Diamond 12 Hour Lip Treatment lip gloss in Flawless (top) & Engaging (bottom) | Maybelline MNY My Lip Balm in 800 A
My final three Poundland buys were lip products! My mum actually bought me the Sally Hansen lip gloss in 'Engaging' (pink) and when I went back I also found it in this orange colour, which is called 'Flawless'. These are nice lip glosses; not too sticky and the glitter isn't rough on your lips. The colour is also quite sheer so are nice to put on top of lipstick. I also bought this Maybelline MNY lip balm, mainly because the packaging looked cute and it was pink and sparkly! I'm not sure if I like this product though, it has a horrible smell and doesn't moisturise your lips. It leaves some glitter but that's about it.
Simple Soothing Facial Toner | Savlon First Aid Wash | Simple Soothing Facial Scrub | Max Factor Xperience Weightless Foundation in Raw Silk 45
These four products actually are from Sainsbury's, but I thought I would include them in the haul anyway! I had run out of face scrub so was on the hunt for my St Ives Gentle one as I knew it was half price in Superdrug, but when I got there, they were all sold out! So I popped into Sainsbury's and saw the Simple range were on a 2 for £4 deal. As I needed some more toner, I thought I may as well try out their Soothing Facial Scrub too. I like the Simple brand, and I've never had any skin issues with using it so I'm hoping this scrub will be nice! I also picked up a Savlon First Aid Wash (which may I add, has gone up by 44p since I started buying it!). You can read about these products in My Skin Care Routine HERE. Finally, my Max Factor foundation was half price in Sainsbury's, so only £4.99! I couldn't resist the bargain so picked up a couple as this is my favourite foundation ever.

Hope you enjoyed the haul!

My Top 6 | Blushers

My next top 6 makeup products post is on my favourite blushers. I usually go for a pink blusher as I find it compliments my skin the best, but depending on what overall look I am going for decides which shade I will pick. See my last two Top 6 posts for lipstick HERE and lip gloss HERE!

Collection 2000 Blush in 04 Trouble: this is a rosy pink blush with shimmer in it. It's a very easy shade to wear but because there is shimmer in it, I don't apply a lot of it otherwise my cheeks look very shiny. These blushers have a nice formula and pigmentation and blend very easily.

Collection 2000 Blush in 02 Bashful: this blusher is more of a coral colour with no shimmer in it. Again it's easy to blend and has a lovely colour pay off on the cheeks.

Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks in Pink Cloud: a very soft light pink that gives a lovely flush of colour to the cheeks. The product is quite build-able so if you want a more intense colour you can achieve this. It's also a great everyday blusher as it has a natural finish (everyday makeup).

Makeup Academy (M.U.A) Blusher in Shade 2: this is a lovely pink blush that again can be worn as an everyday blusher as it gives a pretty flushed finish. It has little bits of shimmer in but not too much to make your cheeks shiny. The colour is also build-able and has good staying power, especially for the fact it only costs £1!

George at Asda Shimmer Me! Shimmering Powder in 2 Cherub: this product offers quite a lot of colours in one. The pink section can be used as a shimmer blusher and the white on its own as a highlight. In the swatch I mixed all 5 colour strips together to give a pretty shimmery rosy pink. With products like this you can mix different sections of the product to make different colours. I only use a little bit of this because there is a lot of shimmer in it. I find this product great for the Summer.

No7 Poppy King Blossoming Lip and Cheek Duo: this is a very pigmented rosy pink colour that can be used as a cream blush or a lip stain. It's a lovely product to place on the apples of the cheeks and have another powder blush on top to blend it in. Again it's great for Summer as it doesn't give you a caked powder look.

What are your favourite blushers?
