Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation

Collection-Illuminating-Touch-Foundation-2-Ivory-Packaging-Review-Belle-Amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog
Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation | £5.99 | LINK

Hello everyone! I just want to say sorry for not blogging for a couple of weeks, I've been super busy and haven't had a chance to sit down and type! However I did finally get my brand new laptop at the weekend - yay! Which finally means I can easily blog and edit photos whenever I please rather than waiting hours for my laptop to start up and getting my photo editor to finally start working (honestly it was the bane of my life!).

I thought I would share my thoughts on a new foundation that I have been trying out for the past couple weeks. Collection is a brand that I find has some real beauty gems - the obvious one being their Lasting Perfection Concealer. On a recent shopping trip I spotted the new Illuminating Touch Foundation for just a mere £3.99 and thought I would give it a try. I have quite dry skin so I'm always on the hunt to find cheap products that can give me that healthy dewy glow back to my skin.

The first thing that struck my about this foundation was the really lovely packaging. The Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation comes in a sleek mattified glass bottle which you wouldn't really expect for a foundation that you paid just under £4 for! I also love the fact that is has a good sturdy pump that feels really good quality - plus pumps are great for making sure you don't use too much product in one go.

The shade that I picked up was Ivory 2 which is the second lightest shade in the range. I'll be honest and say the colour selection wasn't that great from the shop that I bought mine from as Ivory 2 seemed to be the lightest shade they offered. As I do have quite pale skin I was sceptical as to whether this shade would match me well, but I'm glad to say it does and that I think the lightest shade would be far too light for me! This is great that there is a very light shade (Porcelain) available as I am aware that many fair skinned girls find it hard to match a foundation to their skin colour.

The product itself is much thicker than I thought it would be. If you have tried Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundation then that's the sort of consistency that I thought that it would be like. Despite being a thicker formula the foundation is still very light on the skin yet offers a nice light to medium coverage that is definitely build-able. I like my foundations to look like "my skin but better" rather than super heavy and thick and I find that this one does offer that lovely natural look that I love!

The staying power of this foundation is quite good but towards the end of the day I can definitely see that I need a bit of a touch up as it can start to wear off. I would say this is more of a day time foundation as the coverage is quite light and it does give you that lovely dewy finish. I have been very impressed with how well this foundation lasts, considering it's currently on offer for just £3.99 it's very good value for money!

So far I've been really enjoying using this foundation and will definitely continue using it. I'm not sure whether I would repurchase this again (maybe if I found it on another offer) as I do enjoy using my Rimmel foundations more, but it was nice to swap things up and try something new. If you are on the hunt for a nice everyday foundation then definitely give this try whist it's on offer!

Review | Collection Eyes Uncovered in Nude Bronze

Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude Bronze Review Belle-Amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
Hello everyone! Long time no speak yet again! I'm super sorry about the lack of posts on my blog recently and just being away from social media and the internet in general. I have to be honest and say over the past couple months I haven't had a lot of motivation to blog and I've always been someone who hates forcing out a post just for the sake of it. With the added factor that my laptop is on its way to a most certain death (honestly surprise it even turned on today!), editing and writing posts started to become harder and taking a lot of time to create.

However I've recently started to venture back on to blogger and reading other people's posts which really made me miss the whole blogging experience! I am hoping to pick up a new laptop very soon too which I'm sure will help push me back into the blogging loop. I'm not promising new posts every week, but I'm definitely going to ease myself back into writing again - so definitely keep an eye out!

Looking through my photos I realised I still had some products from months ago that I wanted to share my thoughts on. In my last beauty haul I picked up on of the Collection Eyes Uncovered eye shadow palettes in Nude Bronze. These were super popular when they first came out due to their affordable price and perfect nude shadow combinations. I decided to go for the Nude Bronze as I preferred the bronzy/ golden tones compared to the other 2 palettes. However the Nude version of these palettes also tempted me as it really reminded me of the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette!

So the packaging of these little eye shadow palettes isn't the most luxurious out there - but for £3.99 you can't really complain! The shadows come in a black cardboard palette that is actually quite sturdy and closes with a magnetic lid. It's super sleek and is perfect for travelling as it also contains a little sponge tip applicator which can come in useful if you forget your makeup brushes. In all of the palettes there are 6 different eye shadow shades and in the Nude Bronze palette they are all shimmery bronze neutral shades. I really love shimmery eye shadows as I always find the pigmentation and lasting power is much better than mattes. Also the size of the 6 eye shadows is also very good and again reminds me of an Urban Decay palette.

In the Nude Bronze there are 6 shadows (all of which are shimmery) which include: Ivory which is a ivory highlight shade, Mink which is a light golden brown with a slight taupe tint, Ochre which is a golden shade, Golden Brown which is a medium brown shade, Ember which is a light brown with a slight pink tone and Nutty which is a deeper brown shade.

All of these shadows are super creamy and pigmented which is amazing for a palette that's under £4. They also all work really well together and you can easily create day and night time looks with this palette alone. I find Mink and Ochre are lovely lid shades and Golden Brown and Ember work really well in the crease. I've also really been into using eye shadow as eye liner recently and I find Nutty works well as it's dark enough to make your lashes look fuller but isn't too harsh for a subtle day time look! I'm really impressed with the quality of these eye shadows as they last all day and look really lovely on the eyes.

I've been really impressed with this eye shadow palette recently and I would love to try some more from the range, especially the Nude version. I do think Collection have some real makeup gems (with the Lasting Perfection concealer being one of them!) and it's great when you find something super cheap that works amazingly well.

Yankee Candle Collection

Yankee-Candle-Collection-Jar-Votive-Samplers-Wax-Melts-Tarts-Christmas-Wiinter-Spring-Fresh-Scents-Belle-Amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog

Being a girl and a beauty blogger, my obsession for candles has grown slightly out of control over the past few months - in particular I have been loving Yankee Candles! I've managed to get both my mum and sister completely obsessed as well and we always seem to have some form of Yankee Candle burning in the house. As we're still in the middle of Winter, it's the perfect time of year to be burning candles as they always make the room feel so much cosier and relaxing.

Over the Christmas period I did build up quite a collection of Yankee Candles, many of which I received as gifts and some that I bought myself. I always like to buy their candles when they're on offer, for example Clinton Cards do a deal every month where they take 25% off their scent of the month and places like Hallmark sometimes do 20% off events across all Yankee products - amazing! Of course you can also pick up scents at the end of the season where you can get samplers and wax melts for half price in shops like House of Fraser (trust me, I can smell a Yankee Candle deal a mile off haha!)

So I thought I would split up my Yankee Candles into 2 categories depending on what sort of scents I feel that they fall into. Obviously as it's been Christmas recently I have accumulated quite a lot of Winter scents, so I thought I would start with them!

Christmas Eve Medium Jar | This was the only candle I was burning in the week leading up to Christmas! Even though it's called "Christmas Eve", it's definitely not a scent that can be limited to the Christmas period. It is a sweet fruity scent with a nice warm feel to it, so could be used all throughout Winter!

Fire Side Treats Small Jar | I only have a couple of jars as they are quite expensive, but I usually get them in Clintons when they're 25% off. "Fire Side Treats" smells just like roasted marshmallows so has that warm, sweet scent that's good enough to eat. I find the scent of this one quite delicate, probably because it's in a smaller jar as it definitely doesn't fill up the room as much as "Christmas Eve".

Merry Berry Simply Home Votive | This scent is exactly what it says - a nice fresh mixed berry scent with a slight spicy hint to it. The Simply Home Yankee Candles are just as lovely as the proper version as they still use high quality ingredients, they're just sold at a lower price in places like Asda and Tesco!

Cranberry Ice Votive | I've already burnt one of these this Winter and I had to pick up another in the sale as it's such a fresh, clean and zesty scent that really lifts and fills the room.

Angel's Wings Votive | I recently picked this candle up in the House of Fraser sale. I'm after some fresh scents to use in the weeks leading up to Spring and I thought this one was perfect! It's a very soft scent with floral and vanilla notes to give a relaxing fragrance.

Christmas Cookie Votive | This is probably one of the most popular candles over the Christmas season due to its rich, yummy vanilla scent! I also have this in wax tart version which is what you can see in my wax burner in the photos. I really love this candle as vanilla is such a simple yet lovely scent to have in the home!

Frosted Spruce Simply Home Wax Melt | Before Christmas, I was trying to hunt down the scent "Christmas Tree" as I thought it would be nice to burn in the dinning room where the tree was to give off that gorgeous pine scent. I had no luck finding it and wasn't too sure if it had been discontinued. However, I did receive this wax tart in "Frosted Spruce" which smells just like Christmas trees so I'm going to save this until next Christmas so that I can burn it along side the tree to give off that beautiful scent!

Christmas Treats Simply Home Wax Melt | This is extremely similar to "Christmas Cookie" and has the same rich vanilla scent. I probably won't burn this for a while as my "Christmas Cookie" wax melt has been stuck in my wax burner for weeks, so I feel like I need to use up some different scents first!

Sunlight On Snow Simply Home Wax Melt | My last Christmas/ Winter scent is this fresh smelling wax melt. Even though it's very fresh, it still has a slight warmth to it so I think the name "Sunlight On Snow" works really well for this scent!

Yankee-Candle-Collection-Jar-Votive-Samplers-Wax-Melts-Tarts-Spring-Fresh-Scents-Belle-Amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog

As we're slowly but surely moving towards the Spring months, I've been trying to build up some fresh and fruity scents to start burning in the weeks to come. Some of these I've actually had since my birthday in August, but I was saving them to burn in my new house as I moved very shortly after! The main thing I was saving to use until after I moved was this gorgeous Yankee Candle Vintage Pink Floral Tart Burner! As I'm going for a pink, grey and cream theme in my room, I thought it would make a gorgeous accent piece. I actually found this in a House of Fraser sale for just £3.90 - an absolute bargain!

Vanilla Lime Votive | This is actually a scent my mum introduced me to and I'm completely obsessed! This is what we usually have burning in our living room but I thought I'd pick up a sampler size for my bedroom too. I absolutely love the zesty lime against the rich vanilla scent in this candle and together they work perfectly. Definitely give this one a sniff when you're in your local Yankee Candle shop!

Summer Scoop Votive | This gorgeous scent is one I've been saving since August to use in my new room! This smells just like fresh berry ice cream and is another scent that is just good enough to eat - such a shame you can't though haha!

Soft Cotton Simply Home Votive | "Soft Cotton" is a very simple fresh scent that can be used anytime of the year as it leaves your room smelling clean and fresh. I have a couple of these at it's such a staple scent to have in your collection.

Sweet Pea Simply Home Wax Melt | For Christmas I asked for some fresh candles and this is one that I received. I wouldn't have personally picked it up, but I do actually think it's a lovely fresh scent for the Spring time. Also as it's a wax melt the scent won't be too strong so it will just give the room a lovely light fragrance.

Strawberry Buttercream Wax Melt | The last scent in my collection is the first ever wax melt that I bought back when I found my wax burner! I actually bought 3 of these because they were half price and I found the sweet strawberries and cream scent really lovely! I've only used 1 of these wax melts as I find they last such a long time, even if you burn them constantly, which I think is great value for money considering they're the cheapest way to try Yankee scents.

So these are all of the Yankee Candles that are currently in my collection! I probably don't need to buy any more candles for the rest of the year, but I'm sure I'll find some scents that I need to own. I know this post is quite long, but I thought it would be nice to break up each scent so that if you're looking for a particular one, it's easier to find it! Let me know your thoughts on my Yankee Candle collection and tell me what your favourite scents are in the comments below!

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely start to your weekend! I'm trying to get back into the swing of writing up some good old reviews of a few of my favourite makeup and beauty products. So I thought I would write one today about a makeup item that has been in my everyday routine for a very long time - even before I started blogging! The Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear concealer is a big hit amongst many bloggers mainly due to how cheap yet effective it is. After years of having this in my collection, I thought I would finally give you my thoughts and opinions on this wonderful product!

The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer comes in a small plastic tube similar to a lip gloss. It has a soft doe foot applicator which helps minimise wastage as you can apply (either directly to the skin or with your finger) as much or as little as you need for your skin. It's definitely not the most fancy packaging out there, but for just over £4 you are getting what you paid for! Collection offer 4 different shades of this concealer which are: Fair, Light, Medium and Deep however I've recently seen they are doing Cool and Warm versions of certain shades which allows this concealer to be used on a wider range of skin colours and tones. It has a very natural finish, not too matte or dewy, so it's great for all skin types too!

The shade I use is "Fair 1" which is the lightest shade available and personally I find that this matches my skin colour and tone perfectly. I used to use the next shade up, but after a while I realised it was much too dark and orange for my fair skin, so I decided to try out the lightest shade available. As it is quite a light shade, I find that this is a great concealer to use under the eyes as well as over blemishes as it can help illuminate and brighten the eye area. I like to use this concealer to cover any form of blemish on my skin from dark circles to spots and even redness. I find that it covers all of these problem areas up really well yet still leaves a natural looking finish. If my skin is quite dry however, I can find that if I apply too much of the Lasting Perfection concealer it can start to cling to the drier areas. The trick is just to apply a small amount to a dry area and blend it into the skin with your fingers as the warmth from them will help melt the concealer into your skin!

As for the overall formula of the Lasting Perfection concealer, it has a fairly thick consistency yet is really easy to blend into the skin. It offers medium to almost full coverage yet if you just apply a small amount, you can easily get away with a very natural yet flawless looking complexion. If I'm having a good skin day then I will usually just apply a small amount just to even out my skin slightly then pop some powder on over the top and I'm good to go! I will also use this concealer on a night out when I want that fuller coverage, so this shows that the Lasting Perfection concealer is very versatile and can be used in any kind of makeup look! In terms of how long this concealer lasts on your skin, I find that I very rarely have to touch up my makeup throughout the day (only if it's very hot)! I don't often wear my makeup for 16 hours so I don't know if Collection's "16 hour wear" claim is true, but I can say that the concealer does last until I take it off at night which is good enough for me!

Overall this is a fantastic makeup item to have in your collection. It's definitely not the most luxurious product out there but it does a really good job of covering up blemishes - for £4.19 you really can't go wrong! I think this concealer would be perfect for people who are starting out and experimenting with their makeup as it's so affordable and effective.

Real Techniques Brush Collection

Real Techniques Makeup Brush Collection Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
Real Techniques Makeup Brush Collection Core Collection Brushes Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
Real Techniques Makeup Brush Collection Blush Stippling Expert Face Brush Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a lovely start to you weekend. Today I thought I would make a post all about my Real Techniques makeup brush collection. The first time I tried Real Techniques was last Christmas when I asked for the Core Collection for a present. Ever since then I've fallen in love with these gorgeous brushes and I've constantly been on the hunt for new ones to add to my collection. There are still a few more I would like to add to my mini collection, but right now I'm really happy with what I have!

Core Collection | £21.99 | LINK
So like I said, these were the first brushes I tried by Real Techniques and it is definitely a set worth picking up. In this collection you get: a Buffing Brush, a Contour Brush, a Pointed Foundation Brush and a Detailer Brush plus a little brush holder to keep them all safe whilst travelling.

Buffing Brush - This is the brush I use to apply my everyday foundations or BB creams. I find it gives a natural and flawless finish to the skin and is probably the best brush I've tried to apply my foundation. It's not a very dense brush (compared to the ever so similar Expert Face Brush) but it is extremely soft. I wish they sold this brush separately because I would love to have another one in my collection.

Contour Brush - This brush does exactly what it says, allows you to contour your cheeks, jaw line and any other areas you wish to define. I used to use this brush all the time for contouring but now I use it to apply powder highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones. It buffs out the highlighter really well to give a natural glow to my cheeks. The brush I currently use to contour will be mentioned later!

Pointed Foundation Brush - I hardly ever use this brush which kind of frustrates me because it's not a bad brush, I just can't find a use for it! It's meant for applying liquid foundations, but for me it's just too small and leaves my skin looking a bit patchy. Many people use this as a concealer brush but I prefer to apply my concealer with my fingers and then buff it in with the Buffing Brush. If you have found a great way to use the Pointed Foundation Brush, please tell me in the comments below!

Detailer Brush - This brush is designed to apply small amounts of makeup to create a flawless finish. I actually prefer to use this brush to apply an inner corner highlighters to my eye. It's the perfect shape and size to apply the right amount of product to make you look more awake.

Brushes Sold Separately
As well as brush collections, Real Techniques also sells a wide range of brushes you can buy on their own. I only have a few of these as they do range from around £6.99 to £12.99 so can become expensive very quickly. However, they are amazing quality so do work out good value for money.

Blush Brush | £9.99 | LINK - This is another brush that says exactly what it does! I use this to apply my powder blushers to the apples of my cheeks and I find it blends them out beautifully. It's a very soft brush so allows your blusher to blend into your makeup seamlessly.

Stippling Brush | £11.99 | LINK - The stippling brush is a versatile brush that can either be used for liquid foundations or applying cream blushers. As I love my Buffing Brush for my foundation, I use this brush to apply my cream blushers and I have to say, it does it so well! The bristles are so soft but at the same time dense which allows your makeup to apply smoothly and look amazing.

Expert Face Brush | £9.99 | LINK - The final brush in my collection is my newest edition and it is the Expert Face Brush. I had been eyeing this brush up for such a long time after hearing it was pretty much the best brush in the range! I was very lucky to win this in a giveaway recently and now I'm so glad to be able to use it! This is the brush I like to contour and apply powder bronzer with. It's very dense and again, like all the Real Techniques brushes, it is also soft. I'm not a fan of using this brush to apply foundation, but it is amazing to contour with and I absolutely love it!

So this is my Real Techniques brush collection plus a mini review on each of the brushes. Real Techniques is definitely one of my favourite makeup brush brands as they're amazing quality and at such a good price. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you now what to try out some of these makeup brushes!

I rarely wear this Topshop lipstick, purely because it's such a bright shade of pink and I can only wear it in the Summer. Now that it's getting a bit sunnier and warmer, I thought I would make the most of it and wear this little beauty! As the lipstick is quite bold, I took the opportunity to try out my new eye shadow pigments in Halo and Special Dark by Lumiere Cosmetics. I can already say I absolutely love these eye shadows and you can expect to see a full review in the next week or so!

Everyday Makeup Products Foundation Base Rimmel Stila Urban Decay Benefit Collection 2000 Review Belle-amie
Everyday Makeup Products Foundation Base Rimmel Stila Urban Decay Benefit Collection 2000 Review Belle-amie
Everyday Makeup Products Foundation Base Rimmel Stila Urban Decay Benefit Collection 2000 Review Belle-amie
Hello lovelies and welcome to the first part of a 3 post "mini-series" where I show you what makeup I use on a daily basis! The 3 posts will be about: Base makeup, Eye makeup and Lip makeup. In this post I'm going to talk about what products I use as a base, this includes things like primer, foundation and blusher. The products in these posts aren't what I use every single day I wear makeup, but the ones I reach for the most out of my collection! For example, I like to switch up my foundation or blusher depending on the look I am going for, but I've picked out the ones I really enjoy using! Now after that little introduction, on to the post!

| Primer |
My favourite product to use as a primer, despite not technically being one, is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm*. As a BB cream, I actually don't like this product very much, but when used under your foundation it's absolutely amazing! It allows my foundation to apply smoothly and evenly across my face and makes it last all day! This product also has a lot of benefits to the skin including hydration and protecting it with SPF 20. An SPF is vital in a face product as it will help defend your skin from the sun's UV rays, which in turn, will help your skin age better! To see a full review of the Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm, click HERE.

| Foundation |
My everyday foundation is the Rimmel Wake Me Up in shade 100 Ivory. I'm pretty sure every beauty blogger has tried or at least heard of this amazing foundation! This foundation offers a light to medium coverage but it definitely buildable, so is great for most people. When applied over the Urban Decay Beauty Balm with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, I get a lovely and flawless finish. It's really nice to apply and for me, doesn't go patchy or wear off quickly! This has to be one of my favourite foundations I've tried!

| Concealer |
Again, this is another beauty cult favourite, the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. I repurchased mine in the shade Fair 1 as I found Light 2 to be a little bit dark for my skin at this time of year. The coverage of this concealer is amazing and will cover up almost any blemish or flaw! I also like how this shade is a tiny but lighter than my skin so is perfect at covering and brightening my under eye dark circles.

| Blusher |
The Benefit Fine One One is probably one of the prettiest makeup items I have in my collection! As it is a cream formula, I would apply it before my powder to avoid it going cakey on my skin. This blush comes in a stick form which 3 different shades: Pink Champagne, Sheer Watermelon and Soft Coral, all of which are beautiful blusher colours. You simply swipe it across the cheek, blend and then your done! All your blusher and highlighting done in 2 simple steps. If you would like to see a full review of this product, please let me know in the comments!

| Powder |
Finally, the last face product I apply is my Stila Angel Light Whitening Powder in Shade B. This is just a refill as I actually found this product in Poundland last year. I loved this powder so much that I bought about 6 of them, which considering I'm still on my first one, shows they were an absolute bargain! Even though this is a pressed powder, I've never had any issues with cakeiness, it just leaves my skin matte and flawless looking! This powder does come with a little sponge, but I prefer to use The Body Shop Face & Body brush for an amazing finish!

So that's all the products I use on my face to create the base of my makeup. My next post will go into what products I use on my eyes and brows! Please let me know if you liked this post and whether you'd like to see the next one in the series!

Rimmel London Lipstick Collection

Rimmel London Lipstick Collection Belle-amie
12, 16, 101, 107, 206 Nude Pink & 058 Drop of Sherry
Rimmel London Lipstick Collection Swatches Belle-amie
Swatched in same order as above

Rimmel lipsticks are one of my personal favourite high street lipsticks. There are so many colours and finishes to choose from at such a good price. The packaging of these lipsticks is pretty standard, but the "By Kate" lipsticks do look a lot nicer. All the lipsticks I have tried by Rimmel have a nice, fruity smell to them which I really like. I only have 6 lipsticks by Rimmel (I also had Coral in Gold which was such a pretty colour, but I lost it!) but I am always on the look out for new shades to try!

Lasting Finish By Kate in 12 - This is a beautiful blood, red orange that I think is quite similar to Topshop's Infrared. The formula of these lipsticks are soft and creamy so don't dry out your lips. The colour is very bold and pigmented and I find this lipstick best for Summer days and nights out.

Lasting Finish By Kate in 16 - Again this lipstick has the same creamy formula. This is a nude and delicate pink that I think will suit most skin colours. I find this perfect for every day wear when paired with a pink lip gloss!

Lasting Finish By Kate in 101 - This lipstick is part of the latest collection out by Kate which have a matte finish. Again, this is a pretty pink shade that has been compared to MAC's Snob, which is great as an everyday lip colour. I always pair this with a lip gloss as the matte effect can be quite drying on my lips.

Lasting Finish By Kate in 107 - This has been one of my Winter staple lipsticks as recently I've been really loving red lipsticks! 107 is quite a deep pinky/ red which I think looks great on people with paler skin and brunette hair. Again, this has the matte effect finish so I usually wear lip balm before applying.

Lasting Finish in 206 Nude Pink - After seeing Charlotte from CosmeticsCharlotte72 or Just Another Beauty Blog raving about this lipstick last year, I had to try it out! This is a frosty nude pink shade which is perfect for any occasion. I actually wore this to Prom last year too, see the post HERE!

Lasting Finish in 058 Drop of Sherry - Finally another red lipstick. This is a mid-tone red with gold shimmer in it to give it a frosty finish. This is such an 'easy to wear' shade for me as it just darkens the colour of my lips and gives them a slight shimmer!

And that's my Rimmel lipstick collection! I'm not too sure what colours to pick up next, but if you have any recommendations then please let me know!

Review | Collection 2000 Complete Bronzing Kit

The other day I came across the Collection 2000 Complete Bronzing Kit in Poundland and thought it looked pretty good to try for £1. I don't own many bronzers, and I thought this would be a nice product to try out as it contained 5 pieces of makeup to create a bronzed look. These are: 2 golden brown eye shadows (one light and one darker), a bronze cheek/ lip/ eye cream, a glitery orange lip gloss and a bronzer.

The packaging of this product is really neat and compact. It's not very strong and I don't think it can take a lot of dropping damage. I like the fact the product has 2 layers (you flip up the layer with the eye shadows etc to reveal the bronzer) with decent sized products in. It also includes a mirror which is inside the lid. This makes it a great product to take travelling as you can create a bronzed look from this palette alone. This palette doesn't come with any brushes though, but for the eye makeup and lip gloss, you can just use your finger.

The quality of the actual makeup is okay. I wouldn't spend the RRP of £5.98 on it, but it was a bargain for £1! The darker eye shadow and the bronze cream are nicely pigmented, however the lighter eye shadow and the lip gloss aren't that pigmented, just a bit shimmery. The bronzer is okay, and for lighter skin tones, warms up the face well. It also contains a bit of gold shimmer, so makes the face appear brighter in the light. However the powder products (eye shadows and bronzer) are a bit powdery and do not apply smoothly or blend together easily. I also think you need to wear a primer, or use the cream product as a base, for the eye shadows.

Overall I think this palette would be nice to take on holiday or use during the Summer so that you can create a subtle, daytime, bronzed look to compliment your tan. If the quality and pigmentation of the makeup was a bit better, then this product would be amazing. But for now, it's just an okay product that I will probably get some use out of, but not a lot.

Hope this review was helpful! Have you used the Collection 2000 Complete Bronzing Kit before?

Revlon Nail Polish Collection

Here is another nail polish collection by Revlon that I wanted to share with you! Again, I don't have a lot of Revlon nail polishes because I usually buy them from Poundland and I haven't been there enough to build up a proper collection. Also they do not always have a great colour selection and I do only buy colours that I think I will wear like pinks and coral. If you want to see past nail polish collections by Barry M click HERE and Rimmel London click HERE!

099 Effervescent Opal

229 Demure

914 Tropical Temptation

570 Vixen

762 Plum Attraction

038 Ruby Ribbon

Star

As you can see I really love plum and wine coloured nail polish, especially for Winter! The colour Demure didn't look massively appealing in the bottle but I thought I may as well try it out and I'm glad I did. It's a very pretty orange toned pink that I thought wouldn't suit my nails, but it does! All of Revlon's nail polishes are a great consistency and you can get a great opaque nail look with 2-3 coats.
