Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | £4.99 | LINK
Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely week! I thought I would start a new little series on my blog called "Daily Favourites" which is where I basically review beauty products that I use everyday no matter what I'm doing. As I use these products on a daily basis, I can review them for you in depth and give you guys a proper review of how they work for me in the long term. There are a range of products from skin care to hair care and even body products I use everyday, so I'm hoping this will be a fun little series for you all to read!
To start off the series I thought I would finally share my thoughts and opinions on one of the biggest products in the beauty market right now - micellar water! Micellar water is a product that can cleanse, soothe and tone then skin as well as remove makeup - so is a great multi purpose product. Having previously used the L'Oreal version I decided to pick up the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as it seemed much better value for money. For £4.99 you get a huge 400ml bottle (the L'oreal version is just 200ml) that is meant to last for up to 200 uses. I love how simple, fresh and clean the packaging is of the Garnier micellar water and it definitely looks as though it will cleanse my skin well. I also think the little pink touches of the lid and writing make it just that bit more pretty amongst my other skin care products!
The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water literally has a water like consistency and is designed to be poured onto a cotton pad and wiped across the skin to remove your makeup. It's perfect for sensitive skin and can be used across your eyes and lips without causing any irritation! I have quite sensitive eyes (and skin in general) but for me this just feels like wiping water across them as it's so gentle and soothing!
I use this micellar water in 2 different ways and the first is to simply remove my makeup at night. I pour a fair amount of micellar water on to a large cotton pad and simply wipe away my makeup. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water dissolves away the makeup in seconds leaving me with clean, fresh and hydrated skin. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water has a very delicate and fresh scent which is pretty much undetectable once on the skin which is lovely for those of us who are quite sensitive. I love that this micellar water doesn't dry my skin out or make it tight as I do suffer with fairly dry skin and I have used makeup removers before that have done this! Once I've removed all of my makeup (including my eye makeup) I will then cleanse my skin again with my Soap & Glory Peaches & Clean cleanser to remove any last traces of makeup.

Once I've doubled cleansed my face I will then take a smaller cotton pad and carry out the second way I use this micellar water, which is as a toner in the morning and at night. As the Garnier micellar water has such soothing and hydrating properties, I find that it works really well as a toner as it removes those last bits of stubborn makeup plus removes any of my Peaches & Clean cleanser that may have been left behind! I find that doing this extra step leaves my skin feeling so soft, clean and fresh! I always recommend people to add a toner into their skin care routine and as the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water can double up as your makeup remover and a toner, then there's no excuse not to!
Overall this is a wonderful product to add to your skin care routine. I find that the Garnier micellar water works so much better than facial wipes as it leaves your skin clear and hydrated! It's also great it's designed for sensitive skins as it's always a nightmare trying to find new skin care than doesn't break me out and I'm please to say this has actually improved the overall condition of my skin! This will definitely be a product I will keep on repurchasing in the future as it works so well for me.
