It may be near the end of Summer, but I still wanted a bright pop of colour on my nails whilst there is still some sun left. I searched for ages to try and find Beach Party (even rummaging through the stock drawers under the makeup stands), and luckily one day I found one left on the shelf at Boots and I was so excited to try it out! I haven't worn this as much as I would like because it's a 'highlighter' shade of orange, completely neon, I shy away from wearing it.

Here I have a nude base coat of the My fair Lady, as without one, this nail polish will most certainly turn your nails a horrible shade of yellow! I then applied 2 coats of Beach Party. Now, I have a love hate relationship with this polish as I find it quite messy to apply. I really have to concentrate when I apply this! As long as you have some cotton buds and nail varnish remover to hand, you should be fine! Finally I put a layer of Crystal Clear on top to keep the polish from chipping.

OOTD & NOTD #3

Yesterday I went to my mum's friend's wedding. It was quite a casual wedding so I thought would wear a summer dress and a pair of wedges. The colour theme of my outfit was coral, black and gold.

I used the Revlon nail treatment just to prep my nails to make them feel smoother and healthier. I then applied a coat of My Fair Lady as a base coat. I then applied 2 coats of Models Own in Champagne. This is one of my all time favourite nail polishes because it so opaque and such a gorgeous, shiny gold colour. I then applied a top coat of Crystal Clear.

I used the curved white flowers/ leaves on my thumb nails.

Nail Polish Of The Day #2

The other day I read a post on Laura's All Made Up's blog and was really inspired by her Copper and Mushroom by Barry M nail polish look. So I did my own interpretation in pink!

I used my Ciate paint pot in My Fair Lady as my base coat which I use every time I paint my nails. On all my nails apart from my ring fingers I applied 2 costs of Barry M's Strawberry Icrecream. On my ring finger I applied 3 coats of Barry M's Pink Silver Glitter as my accent nail. To finish the look and to keep my nails from chipping I used a coat of Natural Collection's Crystal Clear nail polish.

And here's the final look! I never really bother doing an accent nail on my everyday nail polish but I'm really happy about how this one turned out! These Barry M nail paints are £2.99 each and can be bought from Boots, Superdrug and Barry M's website!

Today I went to town with my friend who I haven't seen in months for coffee at Nero and a bit of shopping. I thought I would show you what I wore today. The weather was miserable and rainy which is really annoying as it's July!

I was in a orange mood today so decided to wear Barry M's nail paint in Coral to match my coral bag and orange lips (Revlon lip butter in Tutti Frutti)! And on a side-note, the Revlon Step 3 nail growth treatment (from my Mini Haul) is a realy good buy! It makes my nails feel conditioned and they have definitely grown more than usual. Also I haven't experienced any broken nails (which I get all the time!), so I think that it's also hardening my nails.

Nail Polish Of The Day

Woo-hoo! My A-level exams are finally over and my summer can begin! I also had my beauty course interview the other day and I have an unconditional place for this September! I'm so excited!

Barry M have brought out a few more glitter nail paints recently and whilst I was at Superdrug a few days ago I was able to pick up this beautiful pink glitter nail polish. It was literally love at first sight.

Pink Silver Glitter 337

This is the shade 'Pink Silver Glitter 337' and in my opinion, is beautiful! I wasn't massively won over by the other colours like the teal and the purple-ish ones. The only other one I may have been interested in was a gold glitter one, but unfortunately that was sold out.

The pink glitter nail paint has light and dark pink glitter and silver glitter in (hence the name!) and I think will be a great summer nail polish!

I use Ciaté paint pot in 'My Fair Lady' which I got free in a Marie Claire issue a while ago as a nude base coat. This is a great nail polish too as on its own makes your nails look shiny and healthy. I then applied 3 coats of the pink glitter nail paint so that my nails were all sparkly. I then used the Revlon Dry Oil top coat for the first time as my clear top coat. This applies well but as of yet, I am not sure how long this will make my nail polish last. Most of Barry M's glitter nail paints are quite long lasting, to the point that they are a pain to remove.

And here's the final result! This is definitely a 'me' kind of nail polish and I would totally recommend it! This nail polish is £2.99 at Boots and Superdrug, but I could not find it on the Barry M website. Right now if you spend over £6 on Barry M in either Boots or Superdrug, you get a free Retro Nail Paint!
