TK Maxx Beauty Bargains

TK Maxx Beauty Bargains Haul Belle Amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello lovelies, I hope you've all had a lovely week and are now looking forward to the weekend! As it's currently half term, I've been taking a few days out to do a spot of much needed shopping and retail therapy. I recently took a trip to my local TK Maxx to see if there were any bargains to pick up. Usually I come out empty handed and become extremely jealous of people who find some amazing things tucked away in their stores. However this day was different and I was really chuffed to find some beauty items that I had actually wanted to try out for a long time!

Real Techniques Travel Essentials | £14.99 (RRP £20.99) | LINK
These Real Techniques brushes caught my eye straight away as I headed towards the beauty section in TK Maxx and I was really excited to see my favourite brush brand at such a good price! The only sets my TK Maxx had were the core collection and the travel essentials so I picked up the one that I didn't already own. In the Travel Essentials set you get: an essential foundation brush, a multi-task brush and a domed shadow brush. The 2 brushes I was really looking forward to trying were the shadow brush and multi-task brush as I knew I would get lots of use out of these! I love that the multi-task brush can be used for your powder, blush and bronzer which makes it a really useful brush to have in your collection.

O.P.I Mini Treats Top Nail Treatments | £7.99 (RRP £16.99) | LINK
I almost did a little dance when I picked up this mini set of OPI polishes! I've wanted to try Nail Envy for so long but was always put off by the really high price. So being able to test out 4 different nail treatments and top coats for under £8 sounded like an amazing bargain to me! In this "mini treats" set you get: Nail Envy, ChipSkip, OPI's Top Coat and RapiDry Top Coat. I know that these polishes are very small, but I'm someone who never uses up a nail polish so I know that these will last me a good amount of time. I've already started using the Nail Envy and if you would like to see a full review on how well it helps my nails (or any of the polishes in that matter), then do let me know in the comments!

TK Maxx Beauty Bargains Essie All In One Base Top Coat Nail Strengthener Haul Belle Amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Essie All In One Base & Top Coat | £2.99 (RRP £8.99) | LINK
The final beauty product I picked up was yet another nail treatment - I think I'm obsessed! This time it was from Essie and it is their All In One base and top coat as well as a nail strengthener. As I have really weak nails (and it was only £2.99) I had to pick it up and give it a try. I've had great experiences with Essie's normal coloured polishes, so I'm expecting some good things from this product too! If you have tried this before do let me know how it worked for you, I'm really looking forward to giving it a try.

So this was everything I picked up the other day from TK Maxx. It's definitely a hit or miss kind of shop, some days there's absolutely nothing and others you can find little gems hidden away! It's always better too when you find things in the clearance section too, it's like double the bargain! Sorry that today's post is slightly shorter than normal hauls, but I hope you still enjoyed reading!

Makeup of the day using everything from my March favourite's!
Hello lovelies! Today I thought I would share with you a few of the beauty products that I've been loving over the past month or so. I didn't actually make a February favourite's post purely because there wasn't any new makeup items that I had been really loving. Over the past month I've been able to try some new products and luckily I have been really enjoying some of them! Once again there does seem to be a bit of a Soap & Glory theme going on in this post, I guess I've just become a really big fan of their products!

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Fuchsia-Ristic | LINK
I featured this gloss stick in the shade Nudist in my January favourite's and because I loved it so much, I decided to try out some more shades. The shade that really caught my eye was Fuchsia-Ristic as it looked so bright and fun in the tube! Once applied, it leaves a really pretty wash of pink to the lips that's perfect for both day and night (if you want a more subtle lip colour). I adore the formula of these gloss sticks, they're super moisturising and smell amazing! Definitely a lip product everyone needs in their makeup bag.

Benefit Bag Gal Lash Mascara | LINK
I'm probably a good few years behind on loving this mascara but I received this as a Christmas present and finally started to try it out this month. Recently my Thick & Fast mascara just doesn't seem to work for my lashes, so I decided to give this very similar looking mascara a go! Benefit's Bad Gal Lash is amazing for adding lots of volume and length whilst keeping your lashes looking completely natural and clump free! I know the hype is now behind their They're Real! mascara (which I personally never got along with) but I think the Bag Gal Lash is so much better!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 100 Ivory | LINK
You may have seen my "battle of the Rimmel foundations" post a couple weeks ago and read that I've really been enjoying the Match Perfection foundation! I find this product is great for a light to medium coverage that looks completely natural. During the warmer months I much prefer a lighter base as it still lets your skin breathe in the hot weather! This foundation is also a really good match for my skin tone (hence the name!) and I find that it just makes my skin look so much nicer overall.

Soap & Glory Feel Good Factor Translucent BB Cream* | LINK
I've been using the Feel Good Factor translucent BB cream as a primer for a few weeks now and I've found that my skin feels so much softer and moisturised compared to when I was using the Urban Decay Beauty Balm. I like to apply this right after moisturising in the morning, but you can actually use the Feel Good Factor alone as a your moisturiser as well as being your primer and sun protector - a great multi-purpose product! This will definitely be a staple product in my Summer makeup routine!

Soap & Glory Archery in Brownie Points | LINK
My final favourite from March is yet another Soap & Glory product! The Archery brow tint and pencil is perfect for creating natural and defined looking brows in an instant! The brow tint easily fills in any sparse areas and helps my brows look fuller, whilst the pencil end is great for evening out the tint and defining the brows even more. For £10 this is definitely the most I've spent on a brow product as it's easy to use a simple matte eye shadow instead. But I personally think my brows look so much better than what they used to so this is an amazing product in my books!

I hope that you have enjoyed today's post and that you've discovered some new amazing makeup product to add to your collection! I would love to hear what products you've been loving recently, I'm always up for trying new things!

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely start to your weekend! I'm trying to get back into the swing of writing up some good old reviews of a few of my favourite makeup and beauty products. So I thought I would write one today about a makeup item that has been in my everyday routine for a very long time - even before I started blogging! The Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear concealer is a big hit amongst many bloggers mainly due to how cheap yet effective it is. After years of having this in my collection, I thought I would finally give you my thoughts and opinions on this wonderful product!

The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer comes in a small plastic tube similar to a lip gloss. It has a soft doe foot applicator which helps minimise wastage as you can apply (either directly to the skin or with your finger) as much or as little as you need for your skin. It's definitely not the most fancy packaging out there, but for just over £4 you are getting what you paid for! Collection offer 4 different shades of this concealer which are: Fair, Light, Medium and Deep however I've recently seen they are doing Cool and Warm versions of certain shades which allows this concealer to be used on a wider range of skin colours and tones. It has a very natural finish, not too matte or dewy, so it's great for all skin types too!

The shade I use is "Fair 1" which is the lightest shade available and personally I find that this matches my skin colour and tone perfectly. I used to use the next shade up, but after a while I realised it was much too dark and orange for my fair skin, so I decided to try out the lightest shade available. As it is quite a light shade, I find that this is a great concealer to use under the eyes as well as over blemishes as it can help illuminate and brighten the eye area. I like to use this concealer to cover any form of blemish on my skin from dark circles to spots and even redness. I find that it covers all of these problem areas up really well yet still leaves a natural looking finish. If my skin is quite dry however, I can find that if I apply too much of the Lasting Perfection concealer it can start to cling to the drier areas. The trick is just to apply a small amount to a dry area and blend it into the skin with your fingers as the warmth from them will help melt the concealer into your skin!

As for the overall formula of the Lasting Perfection concealer, it has a fairly thick consistency yet is really easy to blend into the skin. It offers medium to almost full coverage yet if you just apply a small amount, you can easily get away with a very natural yet flawless looking complexion. If I'm having a good skin day then I will usually just apply a small amount just to even out my skin slightly then pop some powder on over the top and I'm good to go! I will also use this concealer on a night out when I want that fuller coverage, so this shows that the Lasting Perfection concealer is very versatile and can be used in any kind of makeup look! In terms of how long this concealer lasts on your skin, I find that I very rarely have to touch up my makeup throughout the day (only if it's very hot)! I don't often wear my makeup for 16 hours so I don't know if Collection's "16 hour wear" claim is true, but I can say that the concealer does last until I take it off at night which is good enough for me!

Overall this is a fantastic makeup item to have in your collection. It's definitely not the most luxurious product out there but it does a really good job of covering up blemishes - for £4.19 you really can't go wrong! I think this concealer would be perfect for people who are starting out and experimenting with their makeup as it's so affordable and effective.
