VO5 Hair Care

VO5 Hair Care Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
VO5 Hair Care | LINK

Hello everyone I hope you're all well! Today's post is going to be my last post before I leave rainy old England and jump on a plane to the sunny island of Cyprus! I am so excited for this holiday and trust me, I'm in big need for a good week of relaxing and drinking cocktails by the pool! My blog won't be going bare this week though as I do have a guest post lined up from a lovely blogger so I do hope you check back soon to have a read!

Today I wanted to talk about some products from VO5 that have recently become a part of my everyday hair care/ styling routine! Over the past few months I've been trying out a small selection of the vast array of products they sell and over this time I have really started to love using them. I've only tried their styling products as I'm happy using my Aussie shampoos and conditioners for now (read my review of them here), but I'm definitely considering trying the VO5 ones in the future!

VO5 Hair Care Review High Volume Weather Resistant Hairspray Give Me Texture Dry Texturising Spray Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

VO5 High Volume Weather Resistant Hairspray | £3.29 | LINK
This hairspray is the most recent VO5 addition to my collection as my trusty old Pantene Ice Shine Hairspray just suddenly stopped working one day - rather odd! As I have very fine hair that lacks volume at the roots, I thought this product would be great at keeping my hair in place and offer me some much needed volume! The High Volume hairspray comes out as a very fine mist that's easy to work with that leaves your hair looking natural and shiny. I think this is a great hairspray as it really does keep my hair and curls in place plus prevents those pesky little fly away hairs from appearing. I also find it works really well when you spray it into your roots to give your hair lots of volume!

VO5 Give Me Texture Dry Texturising Spray | £3.79 | LINK
The Give Me Texture dry spray is actually a form of sea salt spray, but unlike many others I have tried it doesn't leave my hair tacky or crispy feeling! It's a fine mist that just adds a bit of texture to the hair and makes styling messy buns, pony tails or even fish tail braids very easy! I love the whole messy casual hair look and I think this is a great product to use to achieve this style.

VO5 Hair Care Review Plump It Up Dry Shampoo Smoothly Does It Tame Shine Heat Defence Spray Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

VO5 Plump It Up Dry Shampoo | £3.79 | LINK
This is an all time staple in my hair care routine now, I don't think I could ever live without this dry shampoo because it really is amazing! The Plump It Up Dry Shampoo offers lots of texture and volume to the roots of my hair as well as making it smell fresh and clean all day long. Again it's also a very fine mist that comes out nearly translucent on my dark hair. I think colourless dry shampoos are an essential for me as I hate brushing out that horrible "grey hair look" that you can get from ones like Batiste! I think everyone should give this dry shampoo a go, it's an absolute must for me!

VO5 Smoothly Does It Tame & Shine Heat Defence Spray | £3.89 | LINK
My final favourite hair care product from VO5 is the Smoothly Does It Tame & Shine Heat Defence Spray. What I really like about this product is that it's multi-purpose. It offers heat defence which is an essential step in any hair care routine plus it can be used as a finishing spray to tame fly aways and add extra shine to your hair! I mainly use this as my heat defence spray and it always leaves my hair feeling really soft afterwards. I do use a lot of heat on my hair but since using this product I've noticed my hair hasn't got as many split or damaged ends as it did before using it!

VO5 Hair Care Review Packaging Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Overall I would highly recommend trying out the VO5 styling range! They have so many different lines of products that I'm sure there's something for everyone - each of these products come from different lines and there's even ones I haven't tried before! I would also like to mention that every product I've tried from VO5 has a really lovely scent (especially the Smoothly Does It spray) and they always leave my hair smelling amazing! If you're looking for some new hair care products to add to your routine, head to your local supermarket or drugstore and try out the VO5 line.

My Hair Saviours

My Hair Saviours Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo Conditioner 3 Minute Miracle Reconstruction Deep Conditioner Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
My Hair Saviours Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo Conditioner 3 Minute Miracle Reconstruction Deep Conditioner Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
My Hair Saviours Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo Conditioner 3 Minute Miracle Reconstruction Deep Conditioner Bottles Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

I love the summer time, it's filled with fun memories with friends, trips to the beach, holidays and just generally having lots of fun! But along side this, warmer weather also means humidity and for people like me with fine, curly hair this just equals massive problems! After trialing so many shampoos and conditioners, nothing could seem to tame my unruly locks and keep fly-aways at bay. After reading some reviews online, I decided that it was worth a shot to try out some products from the much loved brand Aussie. These are by no means new additions to their line but I just wanted to find a hair care system that would pack a tonne of moisture back into my hair! I opted to try out their Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner plus, for an added boost of hydration, their 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner.

The Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner both contain macadamia nut oil which is a well known ingredient that packs lots of moisture back into dry and damaged hair. For me this helps to smooth down my frizzy hair and make my curls a lot more defined than normal. I've also noticed that my hair is a lot shinier after using the Miracle Moist products which makes my hair look so much healthier than it used to! As well as leaving my hair looking and feeling great, Aussie shampoos and conditioners also leave your hair smelling gorgeous and with the Miracle Moist line that's no exception! I find that these two products leave my hair smelling fresh and really clean and I love that the scent is still noticeable once my hair is dry. I absolutely love using these 2 products and I think that they would suit anyone with dry or damaged hair as they're so nourishing and moisturising!

As I really want to smooth my hair down and make it as sleek as possible, I also use a small amount of the 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner over the top of the Miracle Moist Conditioner. This deep conditioner is infused with Australian mint balm which helps smooth down rough cuticles (this is what would cause your frizzy, dry hair) and repair split ends. As I use heat on my hair quite a lot, this deep conditioner is a welcomed treat on my hair as it leaves it feeling so soft and nourished! I also love the sweet fresh scent of the mint balm of this conditioner and it ties in well with the smell of the Miracle Moist products! After leaving this deep conditioner on my hair for 1 to 2 minutes, my hair always feel absolutely amazing and as if it's been brought back to life! If you're looking for a deep conditioner/ mask to add to your hair care routine, I highly recommend you trying out this one!

After using these Aussie products for a good 2 months now, I can definitely notice that my hair is so much healthier and feels like it's in a much better condition. These 3 little wonders will be a staple in my summer time hair care routine as they've finally resolved my annoying hair problems. Thank you Aussie!

October Favourite's

October 2013 Favourites Beauty Hair Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
October 2013 Favourites Beauty Products NYX Desert Rose Blusher Soap And Glory Pom Pom Barry M Red Wine Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
October 2013 Favourites Hair Products Herbal Essences Bee Strong VO5 Pump It Up Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Halloween and are now looking forward to the weekend. I seriously cannot believe it's November already and I'm writing my October favourite's post - where is this year going?! Over the past month I've been enjoying a few new products which are mainly beauty and hair care related. I love swapping up my makeup in the Autumn as it means I get to wear more berry and burgundy shades. I've definitely been using my fair share of these colours so I thought I would show you a few of my top favourites I've been using on a regular basis. I've also swapped up my hair care routine a little so I will be talking about some new amazing products I've been using!

NYX Pressed Powder Blusher in "Desert Rose" | LINK
My first October favourite is a new blush that I picked up a couple weeks ago. This is NYX's Pressed Powder Blusher in "Desert Rose" which is a gorgeous burgundy/ deep pink shade. It's a perfect blusher for giving your cheeks a rosy glow in the colder months. One things that's really impressed me about this blusher, apart from the colour, is the formula! It's so pigmented that you literally need to tap your brush on to the product to give enough colour for both cheeks. Now I am quite pale skinned and I like to wear my blushers quite light, so I personally only need to use a small amount of product. I can tell this blusher is going to last me ages and I can't wait to pick up some more shades!

Soap & Glory Super-Colour Fabulipstick in "Pom Pom" | LINK | SWATCH
Another one of my favourite products from the last month is a lipstick that you may have seen crop up in my Autumn & Winter Lipsticks post. This is Soap & Glory's matte lipstick "Pom Pom" which is a really pretty deep pink shade which a matte finish. I love this lipstick as it lasts all day (or night - it's the perfect every occasion lipstick) and it doesn't dry out my lips! This is my first every Soap & Glory lipstick and after trying "Pom Pom" I'm really tempted to pick up a few more!

Barry M Nail Paint in "Red Wine" | LINK
Now I think I speak for everyone when I saw that deep red nail varnishes are pretty much the perfect shade for the Autumn time. I was rummaging through my nail polish box a few weeks ago and I came across this Barry M Nail Paint in "Red Wine". I remember buying this ages ago but never properly tried it out - until this month! This is the perfect wine coloured nail polish with a gorgeous glossy finish. In just 2 coats you have opaque and beautiful looking nails that last really well. I highly recommend this shade for Autumn and Winter as it's such a pretty shade!

Herbal Essences Bee Strong Shampoo & Conditioner | LINK
Recently my hair has been feeling so dry and tangled, so I decided to swap my shampoo and conditioner for the Herbal Essences Bee Strong ones which are designed for damaged hair. The smell of this shampoo and conditioner is so lovely as it contains honey and apricot extracts! After just 1 wash my hair felt so much better and looked a lot smoother. After using these two products for nearly a month, my hair is in a lot better condition so I will definitely continue to use these! I am thinking of getting my hair cut quite short again though just so I can really get rid of the damaged ends. It will be quite sad to part with my long hair, but I think that my hair needs to start over and be healthy again!

VO5 Plump It Up Dry Backcombing Spray | LINK
My final favourite of the month is the VO5 Plump It Up Backcombing Spray which also seems to double up as a dry shampoo! As my hair is quite long, it can lack volume at the roots so I thought this would be a perfect product to help with my problem. After spraying this to the roots of my hair, I can definitely see a noticeable difference in the volume, plus it helps banish any excess oils that I may have -  a perfect 2 in 1 product! It also keeps the volume for most of the day which is great considering I only paid £2 for this!

So these are a few of the products that I've been really loving over the past month! I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully found some new products you want to try. If you've written an October Favourite's post then please leave the link below so I can come and have a read!

Review | Macadamia Natural Oil Leave In Cream & Oil Treatment

Macadamia Natural Oil Nourishing Leave In Cream Healing Oil Treatment Review Belle-amie
Macadamia Natural Oil Nourishing Leave In Cream healing Oil Treatment Packaging Review Belle-amie
Macadamia Natural Oil Nourishing Leave In Cream Healing Oil Treatment Close Up Review Belle-amie

Hello lovelies, I hope you're all well! A couple weeks ago I was contacted by Fragrance Direct and asked whether I would like to choose some products off their site to review on my blog. Now, I'm sure many of you have heard about Fragrance Direct as it is well known by bloggers for having an amazing selection of beauty brands at cheap prices! I was very excited about trying some new products and after a good read through the site, I decided on a couple of products from the Macadamia Natural Oil range; the Nourishing Leave In Cream and Healing Oil Treatment.
Macadamia hair products contain a blend of Argan and Macadamia oils which are brilliant at nourishing dry, damaged and tangled hair. Recently my hair has felt very dry and tangled so I was hoping that these two products would help make it soft and manageable again!

Macadamia Natural Oil Nourishing Leave In Cream 300ml* [£11.50] LINK
The first product I tried was the Nourishing Leave In Cream which comes in a huge 300ml bottle with a pump. I absolutely love the packaging and design of the Leave In Cream. The green and brown floral design gives it an earthy, natural feel which made me think this product was going to be really good for my hair. The Leave In Cream is designed to de-tangle, tame and protect your hair from the sun's UV rays as well as adding softness and shine! It is also a texture cream so leaves your hair feeling full and thick as well as soft! After I washed my hair, I towel dried it and then added about half a pump of the cream to the lengths of my hair. As I have very fine hair I didn't need too much product, but the amount you use will depend on your hair's thickness and type. I found that the cream absorbed into my hair quickly and didn't leave it feeling heavy or as if there was loads of product in it, which is great for my fine hair! Once my hair was dry (I leave it to air dry naturally), I found that the Leave In Cream left my hair very curly, full of body and most importantly incredibly soft! The cream also smells amazing and it gave my hair a beautiful scent, just as if I'd had it done at the salon! After using the Leave In Cream every time I washed my hair for the last 2 weeks, I'm in love the results it has given me and now my second day curls don't feel as dry or look as frizzy as they used to be! I would highly recommend this product to anyone with dry, thin and curly hair as it will help nourish and define your locks within just 1 use.
If you fancy trying the Nourishing Leave In Cream before buying the full size, you can purchase a 60ml version for just £2.99!

Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment 30ml* [£5.99] LINK
The next macadamia product I tried was the Healing Oil Treatment which is perfect for all hair types and can be used on a daily basis. The oil comes in a 30ml glass bottle (it also has the same green and brown design) which has no pump or dispenser, you simply pour the required amount of product out on to your hand. I would have preferred that the oil came with a pump but I haven't had any trouble or made any mess by pouring the oil out. The Healing Oil Treatment claims to nourish, protect the hair from UV rays and again leaves your hair smooth, shiny and manageable. As well as this, the oil is supposed to reduce hair drying time by 40 - 50% which is probably a life-saver for ladies with very thick hair that takes ages to dry! How this works is the oil will absorb into your wet hair which in turn will push the water out of the hair, allowing it to dry quicker. For me, my hair dries very quickly any way as it's so thin, so I didn't see any improvements in my drying time. When I used the oil on wet hair I only needed 1 drop for the lengths of my hair. I found that it absorbed straight away and didn't leave it feeling greasy at all! Once my hair was dry, it was left shiny, soft and smelling amazing - it has the same gorgeous scent as the Leave In Cream! I also found it left the same results when used on dry hair but it also reduced any frizziness and left my curls defined and manageable. I've been using the Healing Oil Treatment everyday for the last 2 weeks and I have to say my hair looks so much healthier and nourished plus my tangles have definitely been reduced. If you've been looking for a new hair oil to try, I would completely recommend you trying the Macadamia one, it's left my hair looking and feeling so much better!
If you fancy trying the Healing Oil Treatment before buying the full size, you can purchase a 10ml version for just £3.75!

So overall I am really impressed with the Macadamia range and I love how the products have left my hair! Also, these 2 products can be used together on wet hair to add extra softness and shine. In the picture above I have used both the Leave In Cream and the Oil Treatment and you can see my hair has been left shiny and defined. I will definitely be trying out some more products by Macadamia, I've especially got my eye on tyring the Deep Repair Masque so fingers crossed it pops up on the Fragrance Direct website soon!

Review | Wella SP Luxe Oil

I never used to think hair oils were a vital part of my hair care routine. I thought I could get the same benefits from a standard hair mask or leave in treatment, but since trying this product, I was so wrong! The Wella SP Luxe Oil has become one of my favourite products to use and has totally transformed the condition of my hair.

This is a luxurious hair oil that helps nourish dry, damaged and chemically treated hair. The oil comes in a golden glass bottle with a pump dispenser which makes this feel like a high end product! Wella claims this oil transforms the structure of your hair and protects existing keratin within the first use. With ingredients including: Argan, Almond and Jojoba oil, it leaves your hair feeling soft, smooth and conditioned. I absolutely agree with this! Ever since I first used this oil, my hair has felt so soft and in amazing condition. Also, as my hair's been nourished with the oils, my split ends have been reduced meaning my hair has been less prone to breaking. This is great as my hair is ombre (half bleached), so is very weak and snaps easily.
The oil is also very light weight so for me this leaves my curls defined and frizz free which means I can leave my hair completely natural. It also means that it's a perfect product to use on fine hair as it will not weigh your hair down and keeps your natural volume.

You can use this oil on either wet or dry hair so can fit anywhere in your hair routine. The bottle suggests using 1-2 pumps depending on the thickness and condition of your hair, so it will vary how much you use.
If my hair is feeling very dry, I will apply around 2 pumps of the oil to the mid-lengths and ends of my hair after washing it. The oil will absorb into your hair and smooth down the cuticles which allows your hair to become frizz free and really soft.
If I want to add shine to my hair as well as softness, I will use it on dry hair. I'll apply 1 pump on to the mid-lengths and ends of my hair. Even though it's an oil, using this product on dry hair doesn't leave your it feeling greasy at all, just super soft. This is my favourite way to use the oil as it leaves my hair feeling incredible and smelling amazing! That's another thing about this product, the smell is gorgeous! It's quite sweet (kind of like dolly-mixture with a hint of almonds) and reminds me of products hairdressers use in the salons.
I have been using this product nearly everyday for a month and as you only need to use a small amount, it's lasted me ages! On days where I don't use the oil, my hair still feels really soft so I do think this is helping restore my damaged hair! This is a definite life saver product.

I absolutely love this product and is a miracle oil in a bottle. It feels like a salon treatment at home and I think for the results, the price is very reasonable, especially because it's going to last me a very long time. I really recommend you trying this hair oil out because it's totally transformed the condition of my hair for the better!

You can order the Wella SP Luxe Oil from lookfantastic.com for £19.89 plus free delivery!

Have you tried the SP Luxe Oil, if not, what's your favourite hair oil?

Ombre Hair Care Routine

Ombre Hair Care Routine Belle-amie
Today, I wanted to share with you the products I use on a regular basis to maintain and look after my hair. Just so you know, my hair is fine, curly and ombre, so I use products that keep it healthy and defined. It's also prone to going frizzy and messy so I also use products that keep it sleek and soft. In this post I'm not going into massive amounts of detail on each product, so if you would like to see something reviewed, just let me know!

Shampoo & Conditioner
Ombre Hair Care Routine Shampoo John Frieda Colour Renew Lee Stafford Breaking Hair Belle-amie Review

Lee Stafford Breaking Hair Shampoo & Conditioner
These are the products I wash my hair with the most often. On average I wash my hair about 3 times a week, and out of that, I use this shampoo and conditioner on 2 of those occasions. This shampoo and conditioner are designed for damaged, over processed and coloured hair. As my hair is ombre and prone to breaking from all that bleach, these products are perfect for keeping my hair feeling soft and staying strong. They also smell amazing which is always a winner with me!

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Shampoo & Conditioner
What a mouthful! On the third time of washing my hair, these are the products I use. These are designed to neutralise any brassy tones and brighten blonde hair by using them 3 times a week. As my hair is only ombre and not bright blonde, I find it best just to use this once a week to keep my hair bright and from turning ginger. These products really do work and whenever I use them, I get compliments about how bright my ombre is and whether I've bleached it again! Nope, I just used these little beauties. The smell is nice, with a slight hint of lavender, however my hair doesn't feel soft after using them and I have to rely on a leave in conditioner/ hair oils after.

Treatments
Ombre Hair Care Routine Treatments Wella Sp Luxe Oil Pantene Night Oil Aussie Leave In Conditioner Lee Stafford Serum Dove Mask Belle-amie Review

Wella SP Luxe Hair Oil* (Review) LINK
This is one of the newest editions to my hair care system and to be honest, I don't know how I lived without it! This hair oil contains Argan, Jojoba and Almond oils to nourish, define and make your hair super smooth! I use a tiny bit of this on the mid-lengths to the ends of dry hair to make it feel amazingly soft. It also smells of dolly mixture/ perfume, which is gorgeous!

Pantene Pro-V 12 Hour Night Therapy Oil Replacement
I picked this up from Poundland a while ago and is one of my best beauty bargains! I use this on the night before I wash my hair, so whilst I sleep, my hair can be replenished with oils to make it soft and smooth in the morning. I then wash it out but my hair remains really soft! I keep this on the mid-lengths of my hair and focus on the ends as that is where my hair is the most damaged. Definitely recommend you picking this up if you see it!

Aussie Limited Edition Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner
Aussie is one of my favourite hair care brands, their products leave my hair soft and smelling amazing, which is what this conditioner does! I use this after my John Frieda shampoo and conditioner to make my hair soft again. I spray about 8 pumps over the lengths and ends of my hair and leave it to dry naturally. It contains Eucalyptus and Avacado oil to pamper and nourish your hair. Lovely!

Lee Stafford Breaking Hair Split End Serum LINK
I use this after washing my hair with the Lee Stafford shampoo and conditioner to treat my hair even more. I place a pump of this into the palm of my hand, rub my hands together and run it through the ends of my hair. I've been using this for a month now and my split ends have definitely improved!

Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Regenerating Mask
Whenever my hair is feeling really dry and damaged, this is where this product kicks in! About once a week I will apply this mask all over my hair, tie it in a turby-towel and leave it for about 4 hours. After I rinse it out, my hair is feeling soft and repaired. This is also great as an intensive conditioner in the shower if you leave it on for about 3 minutes!

Styling
Ombre Hair Care Routine Styling Phil Smith Life's A Beach Batiste Lace Dry Shampoo Schwarzkopf Got2b Guardian Angel Pantene ice Shine Hairspray Belle-amie Review

Phil Smith Life's A Beach Sea Salt Spray
Whenever I want natural looking waves, this is the product I go to. When my hair's still wet, I'll brush it so it's straighter, they spray my hair with this sea salt spray. Then I scrunch my hair a bit and leave it to dry naturally. This does leave my hair looking nice, but it can be a little drying.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Lace LINK
This is my favourite dry shampoo I've tried! It smells amazing, gets rid of any grease/ excess oil and gives my hair loads of volume! I'm sure everyone knows about Batiste, but if you haven't tried this scent, I totally recommend it!

Schwarzkopf Got2b Guardian Angel
Whenever I blow dry, straighten or curl my hair this is the heat protectant I use. To be honest, I rarely use heat on my hair as it's already quite damaged, but if I'm late and need to dry my hair quickly, this protects my hair and leave it smelling nice.

Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine Hair Spray LINK
This is one of the best hair sprays I've used. It has a really strong hold, yet can be easily brushed out afterwards. It also leaves your hair shiny and in place all day. I mainly use this to get volume at the roots without back combing by lifting the hair and spraying at the root.

Brushes
Ombre Hair Care Routine Brushes Wide Tooth Comb Golden Goddess Tangle Teezer Belle-amie Review

Wide Tooth Comb
This is just a cheap comb from Wilkinsons which was no more than £1. I use this in the shower when I'm washing my hair to get rid of any tangles and knots. My hair is always noticeably softer and tangle free after using a comb whilst washing my hair, so I definitely recommend you trying it if you don't already!

Tangle Teezer in Golden Goddess* (Review) LINK
And finally, my everyday hair brush. I use a Tangle Teezer as I find they don't break or pull at my hair when brushing. This is really important for my as my hair is thin and damaged, so I do not want to add to that by using a normal hair brush. The Tangle Teezer easily glides through my hair and leaves it soft. If I straighten my hair properly as well, this is what I use to brush it whilst straightening!

And that's it! What a long post haha! I hope this helped if you are looking for some products to add or change in your hair care system. Remember, if there's any products you'd like reviewed, then just leave me a comment!

Mini Haul | Beauty

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Lace £2.99 | Pantene Ice Shine Hairspray £2.99 | Aussie Limited Edition Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner £4.99
Primark Natural Look Lashes £1 | Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19 | Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara £7.19 | Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara £10
Recently, Sainsbury's had a 3 for 2 offer across all hair care products, so I decided to pick up some new things to try. Firstly I picked up the Aussie Limited Edition Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner as my hair has been feeling very dry at the moment, particularly at the ends. I absolutely love Aussie products as they always leave my hair silky smooth. This conditioner has eucalyptus and avocado oil in to "pamper your hair beyond the bounds of decency". It smells great, my hair feels soft after use and it leaves my curls very defined. Next I needed a new dry shampoo and I decided to try the Batiste one in Lace. I've heard some nice things about this product and I think the bottle is very pretty. So far I've been loving this! I've used it quite a lot this week and leaves my hair feeling fresh and smelling lovely. The final hair product was the Pantene Ice Shine hairspray. I used to use about a year ago, but I always change up on hairsprays because I usually buy what's on offer. I really like this hairspray. It's made for fine hair, which is what I have, so is strong but doesn't leave your hair crispy. I also find it sprays nicely, like a fine mist.

The next few beauty items are from a couple of shopping trips. I picked up the Primark Natural false lashes as I needed something to practise putting on eyelashes with and I heard in one of Kate's (dollybowbow) videos that these were pretty good! I also picked up my all time favourite concealer, the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection in Light 2. This concealer lasts me ages and gives a full and even coverage every time. If you haven't given into the raving posts/ videos and bought this product, I urge you to now! Next up are my two favourite mascaras, Maybelline's Colossal Volum' Express in Black and Soap & Glory's Thick & Fast mascara in Super Jet Black. I can't fault either of these products! They apply so well, give a volumised, full and long lash and also last really well throughout the day.
Love, love, love!

Messy Bun

I'm pretty sure every beauty/ fashion blogger is a fan of the messy bun. It's a life saver on bad hair days, keeps your hair out your face and best of all, they actually look pretty. For me this is probably my most worn hair style. Having curly hair means it's usually nice on the day I've washed it, but once I've slept on it the curls drop and I have this large mass of hair on my head. But for creating my messy buns, this is the perfect way to get volume without using heat, products or back combing. There's not set way I actually do my buns, I usually flip my hair over, tie in a high pony tail and just work from there.
