Batiste Dry Shampoo in Eden

Batiste-Dry-Shampoo-Eden-New-2015-Review-Belle-Amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog
Batiste Dry Shampoo in Eden | £3.29 | LINK

Having naturally dry and fine hair I find that I don't need to wash my hair on a regular basis, around 2 or 3 times a week is enough for me. Due to this, I love to try out different dry shampoos to keep my hair looking and feeling refreshed on the days in between. As my hair rarely gets oily I don't have to focus on dry shampoos that purely banish oils so I like to go on the hunt for ones that also smell really lovely. I spotted one of Batiste's latest releases called "Eden" and was instantly attracted to the beautiful packaging! The gorgeous bird and floral pattern ties in perfectly with the sweet, delicate fragrance of sugar melon and honeysuckle - sounds just like Miss Honey's garden from Matilda!

Batiste's dry shampoos are one of the blogger's beauty staples and I can definitely say that this will be a new hit amongst us! The scent is really lovely and due to their new longer lasting fragrance technology, this beautiful scent really does linger and make your hair smell amazing. Even though I don't get greasy hair, I do find my hair feeling refreshed after using this dry shampoo and it also gives it extra texture and lift. My only niggle about some of the Batiste dry shampoos is that they leave a white residue behind after spraying your hair, but after massaging it into the roots it pretty much disappears!

I would highly recommend this gorgeous dry shampoo and it will definitely be a staple for me in the Summer months due to it's lovely floral scent. If you're looking to pick it up, it's currently half price in Superdrug so definitely pick it up whilst it's cheap!

Have you tried the new Eden dry shampoo from Batiste?

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely week! I have to say I'm really disappointed with the weather recently, I can't believe it's almost June and it's constantly raining - bring on my holiday that's all I can say! Last weekend I did a little bit of shopping and I was so surprised with the bargains I found that I had to show you all with a haul post. My Fragrance Direct order also came through the day before so I thought I would pop that in this post too! Everything I've bought in this post was reduced, so I will include original prices as well as how much I bought it for.

Topshop Black Suede & Leather Studded Purse [£22 reduced to £10]
I remember spotting this purse ages ago in Topshop and thinking it would be perfect for a night out or to simply pop in my handbag, however at £22 it was way out of my budget for a purse. Luckily, I found it again in a different store and couldn't believe that it was reduced to just £10! The quality is amazing, I absolutely love the gold stud detailing and the suede/ leather is extremely soft. It has lots room for cards and change which is great as my current purse is a coin purse and is quite a pain for storing cards neatly. It's such a simple yet edgy piece and I know I'm going to get a lot of use out of it!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Wild Party Trio [£4.99 reduced to £1.50]
I've wanted to pick up some smaller cans of Batiste to keep in my handbag and to take on holiday, but I couldn't justify spending £1.50 on a tiny can when I could buy a huge one for just a pound more! I found this trio pack in the Boots clearance section and thought it was perfect as it comes with a little travel bag as well as 3 cans of dry shampoo. I haven't tried these Batiste scents yet, but I'm sure they'll do a fine job of keeping my hair looking and feeling fresh!

Real Techniques Blush Brush [£9.99 reduced to £2.50] LINK
This was probably my absolute bargain of the day! I was thinking of picking up some more Real Techniques brushes as they are amazing quality and my favourite brand for applying makeup. I decided to go for the Blush Brush which retails at £9.99 as I thought it would be perfect for applying and blending out my powder blushers. But when I was looking through the Boots clearance section (this section is an amazing place for bargains!) I just happened to find another one but for an amazing price of just £2.50 - it had to be fate haha! I also bought this brush and the dry shampoos with my Boots points, so they were both technically free as well!

St Tropez Naturals Self Tan Body Lotion [£26 reduced to £7.80] LINK
I've never tried St Tropez fake tan before but I have seen and heard so many great things about it! I spotted this Self Tan Lotion in the Debenhams sale and decided to try it out. This gradual self tan is from the Naturals range so is meant to be suitable for sensitive skin as it contains natural ingredients, which is perfect for me. I'm yet to try this fake tan, but if you would like to see a review then please do leave a comment below!

St Tropez Natural Radiance Self Tan For Face [£21 reduced to £6.30] LINK
Again from the same range, I picked up a St Tropez self tan for the face. I've always been pretty nervous about using fake tan that's designed for the body on my face, so this was exactly what I needed to try! As it's suitable for sensitive skin I'm hoping that it won't break me out or make me look orange, so I'm very excited to give this a try!

Dainty Doll Powder Blusher in "My Girl" [£13.50 reduced to £1.99] LINK
The final product I bought was another Dainty Doll blusher from Fragrance Direct. This is "My Girl" which is a pink blush with a little bit of shimmer. I've been meaning to pick up some more of these blushers before they go out of stock as the quality and pigmentation is amazing! This blush leaves a soft pink glow to my cheeks and will be perfect for every day wear in the Summer.

So that's my haul, I've done way too much shopping recently so I may have to go a few weeks without buying anything haha! But, I know I've picked up some really good pieces and I'm happy with everything I've bought. I hope you enjoyed this post, I do love reading about what bargains people have found recently so I hope this was useful to you too!

Ombre Hair Care Routine

Ombre Hair Care Routine Belle-amie
Today, I wanted to share with you the products I use on a regular basis to maintain and look after my hair. Just so you know, my hair is fine, curly and ombre, so I use products that keep it healthy and defined. It's also prone to going frizzy and messy so I also use products that keep it sleek and soft. In this post I'm not going into massive amounts of detail on each product, so if you would like to see something reviewed, just let me know!

Shampoo & Conditioner
Ombre Hair Care Routine Shampoo John Frieda Colour Renew Lee Stafford Breaking Hair Belle-amie Review

Lee Stafford Breaking Hair Shampoo & Conditioner
These are the products I wash my hair with the most often. On average I wash my hair about 3 times a week, and out of that, I use this shampoo and conditioner on 2 of those occasions. This shampoo and conditioner are designed for damaged, over processed and coloured hair. As my hair is ombre and prone to breaking from all that bleach, these products are perfect for keeping my hair feeling soft and staying strong. They also smell amazing which is always a winner with me!

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Shampoo & Conditioner
What a mouthful! On the third time of washing my hair, these are the products I use. These are designed to neutralise any brassy tones and brighten blonde hair by using them 3 times a week. As my hair is only ombre and not bright blonde, I find it best just to use this once a week to keep my hair bright and from turning ginger. These products really do work and whenever I use them, I get compliments about how bright my ombre is and whether I've bleached it again! Nope, I just used these little beauties. The smell is nice, with a slight hint of lavender, however my hair doesn't feel soft after using them and I have to rely on a leave in conditioner/ hair oils after.

Treatments
Ombre Hair Care Routine Treatments Wella Sp Luxe Oil Pantene Night Oil Aussie Leave In Conditioner Lee Stafford Serum Dove Mask Belle-amie Review

Wella SP Luxe Hair Oil* (Review) LINK
This is one of the newest editions to my hair care system and to be honest, I don't know how I lived without it! This hair oil contains Argan, Jojoba and Almond oils to nourish, define and make your hair super smooth! I use a tiny bit of this on the mid-lengths to the ends of dry hair to make it feel amazingly soft. It also smells of dolly mixture/ perfume, which is gorgeous!

Pantene Pro-V 12 Hour Night Therapy Oil Replacement
I picked this up from Poundland a while ago and is one of my best beauty bargains! I use this on the night before I wash my hair, so whilst I sleep, my hair can be replenished with oils to make it soft and smooth in the morning. I then wash it out but my hair remains really soft! I keep this on the mid-lengths of my hair and focus on the ends as that is where my hair is the most damaged. Definitely recommend you picking this up if you see it!

Aussie Limited Edition Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner
Aussie is one of my favourite hair care brands, their products leave my hair soft and smelling amazing, which is what this conditioner does! I use this after my John Frieda shampoo and conditioner to make my hair soft again. I spray about 8 pumps over the lengths and ends of my hair and leave it to dry naturally. It contains Eucalyptus and Avacado oil to pamper and nourish your hair. Lovely!

Lee Stafford Breaking Hair Split End Serum LINK
I use this after washing my hair with the Lee Stafford shampoo and conditioner to treat my hair even more. I place a pump of this into the palm of my hand, rub my hands together and run it through the ends of my hair. I've been using this for a month now and my split ends have definitely improved!

Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Regenerating Mask
Whenever my hair is feeling really dry and damaged, this is where this product kicks in! About once a week I will apply this mask all over my hair, tie it in a turby-towel and leave it for about 4 hours. After I rinse it out, my hair is feeling soft and repaired. This is also great as an intensive conditioner in the shower if you leave it on for about 3 minutes!

Styling
Ombre Hair Care Routine Styling Phil Smith Life's A Beach Batiste Lace Dry Shampoo Schwarzkopf Got2b Guardian Angel Pantene ice Shine Hairspray Belle-amie Review

Phil Smith Life's A Beach Sea Salt Spray
Whenever I want natural looking waves, this is the product I go to. When my hair's still wet, I'll brush it so it's straighter, they spray my hair with this sea salt spray. Then I scrunch my hair a bit and leave it to dry naturally. This does leave my hair looking nice, but it can be a little drying.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Lace LINK
This is my favourite dry shampoo I've tried! It smells amazing, gets rid of any grease/ excess oil and gives my hair loads of volume! I'm sure everyone knows about Batiste, but if you haven't tried this scent, I totally recommend it!

Schwarzkopf Got2b Guardian Angel
Whenever I blow dry, straighten or curl my hair this is the heat protectant I use. To be honest, I rarely use heat on my hair as it's already quite damaged, but if I'm late and need to dry my hair quickly, this protects my hair and leave it smelling nice.

Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine Hair Spray LINK
This is one of the best hair sprays I've used. It has a really strong hold, yet can be easily brushed out afterwards. It also leaves your hair shiny and in place all day. I mainly use this to get volume at the roots without back combing by lifting the hair and spraying at the root.

Brushes
Ombre Hair Care Routine Brushes Wide Tooth Comb Golden Goddess Tangle Teezer Belle-amie Review

Wide Tooth Comb
This is just a cheap comb from Wilkinsons which was no more than £1. I use this in the shower when I'm washing my hair to get rid of any tangles and knots. My hair is always noticeably softer and tangle free after using a comb whilst washing my hair, so I definitely recommend you trying it if you don't already!

Tangle Teezer in Golden Goddess* (Review) LINK
And finally, my everyday hair brush. I use a Tangle Teezer as I find they don't break or pull at my hair when brushing. This is really important for my as my hair is thin and damaged, so I do not want to add to that by using a normal hair brush. The Tangle Teezer easily glides through my hair and leaves it soft. If I straighten my hair properly as well, this is what I use to brush it whilst straightening!

And that's it! What a long post haha! I hope this helped if you are looking for some products to add or change in your hair care system. Remember, if there's any products you'd like reviewed, then just leave me a comment!

November Favourite's

Dodgy winter lighting makes my pictures look so weird!
Today is the 1st of December, which means Christmas is literally days away! I'm so excited! I love spending the day with my family, eating good food and swapping gifts with everyone. But saying that, where has the year gone?! I remember last Christmas as if it was yesterday and can't believe we're going into 2013 in a few weeks.
I have been enjoying a few products this month, so I thought I would share them with you.

Batiste Lace Dry Shampoo - I picked this up a while ago in a haul and said how nice it smelt and that I'd used it a couple times. I use this everyday that i haven't washed my hair and it leaves it smelling fresh, grease free and with lots of volume at the roots. I never used to be a huge fan of Batiste but now I can't get enough!

2True Liquid Eyeliner in 01 Black - I've been into very clean makeup this month where I do a nude lip and thick eyeliner. This is the best liquid liner I have used and it only costs £1.99 from Superdrug! It's so easy to apply, is very pigmented and stays on my eyes all day. Can't fault this product, I love it!

Superdrug's Vitamin E Skin Care Nourishing Night Cream - I've never bothered with night creams and usually used my day moisturiser at night. But I saw this in Superdrug for £2.99 and decided to give it a go because I had seen good things about other products in this line. At first when I used it, I thought I'd had an allergic reaction, but I think I narrowed it down to a different cleanser I had used the same day as my skin is perfectly fine now. It's super nourishing and hydrating so you only need a little bit. It's full of vitamins A, B, E, F and H as well as antioxidants which are great for the skin. My skin's been feeling extra soft and hydrated since buying this so would definitely recommend it for people with dry skins!

Makeup Academy Lipstick in Shade 15 Juicy - This is the lipstick I always use to create a nude lip (I think the lighting was weird when I took the picture, so it isn't as orange in real life). It's an orange toned nude which I think suits me well. I do find this lipstick a little dry, but I always pair it with the Barry M lip gloss in this picture. I'm a huge fan of MUA's lipsticks, and I have a review post about them HERE.

♥ Barry M Limited Edition Lip gloss - This lip gloss came free with an Impulse body spray, so doesn't actually have a name. It's a standard nude coloured gloss with no shimmer in, so is perfect for an everyday look. The best thing about this lip gloss is that it smells of caramel! It's amazing! I highly recommend Barry M lip glosses!

Mini Haul | Beauty

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Lace £2.99 | Pantene Ice Shine Hairspray £2.99 | Aussie Limited Edition Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner £4.99
Primark Natural Look Lashes £1 | Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19 | Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara £7.19 | Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara £10
Recently, Sainsbury's had a 3 for 2 offer across all hair care products, so I decided to pick up some new things to try. Firstly I picked up the Aussie Limited Edition Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner as my hair has been feeling very dry at the moment, particularly at the ends. I absolutely love Aussie products as they always leave my hair silky smooth. This conditioner has eucalyptus and avocado oil in to "pamper your hair beyond the bounds of decency". It smells great, my hair feels soft after use and it leaves my curls very defined. Next I needed a new dry shampoo and I decided to try the Batiste one in Lace. I've heard some nice things about this product and I think the bottle is very pretty. So far I've been loving this! I've used it quite a lot this week and leaves my hair feeling fresh and smelling lovely. The final hair product was the Pantene Ice Shine hairspray. I used to use about a year ago, but I always change up on hairsprays because I usually buy what's on offer. I really like this hairspray. It's made for fine hair, which is what I have, so is strong but doesn't leave your hair crispy. I also find it sprays nicely, like a fine mist.

The next few beauty items are from a couple of shopping trips. I picked up the Primark Natural false lashes as I needed something to practise putting on eyelashes with and I heard in one of Kate's (dollybowbow) videos that these were pretty good! I also picked up my all time favourite concealer, the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection in Light 2. This concealer lasts me ages and gives a full and even coverage every time. If you haven't given into the raving posts/ videos and bought this product, I urge you to now! Next up are my two favourite mascaras, Maybelline's Colossal Volum' Express in Black and Soap & Glory's Thick & Fast mascara in Super Jet Black. I can't fault either of these products! They apply so well, give a volumised, full and long lash and also last really well throughout the day.
Love, love, love!
