Miss Selfridge Haul

Miss-Selfridge-Haul-Gold-Triangle-Daisy-Necklace-Belle-amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog

Hello everyone! Right now as I'm typing the weather outside is super gloomy and rainy, so I thought it would be a perfect excuse to snuggle up on the sofa and write a little blog post! I've recently placed a few orders with Miss Selfridge so I thought I would put together a small fashion haul for you all. Miss Selfridge is definitely one of my favourite clothes shops on the high street as I always find their clothes fit really well and are great value for money. Obviously it's a bit more pricey than your Primark or New Look but they always have discount codes and offers floating around which do help out!

I like to buy my fashion staples from Miss Selfridge, things that will last me a long time and that I know I'll get tonnes of wear out of. So this haul does contain a few Autumn fashion basics that will definitely last me right through Autumn and Winter!

Gold Triangle Necklace | £4.00 | LINK

Starting with jewellery I've recently picked up some gorgeous pieces from Miss Selfridge's new (ish) cheaper range. These pieces come on brown cardboard packaging and are so lovely, plus they're much cheaper than their normal Diva range - win win! The first piece I picked up was this dainty little gold triangle necklace that I thought would look amazing when you want to wear something more discreet. My favourite way to wear this is with a shirt and jumper and wearing it just under the collar. It looks really pretty and for £4 it was definitely well worth picking up!

Gold Flower Cutout Collar | £8.00 | LINK

The other necklace I picked up is more of a statement necklace and I literally couldn't leave it behind! This beautiful daisy necklace is really simple yet would easily dress up a simple outfit. I love pairing this with plain jumpers and dresses to give them an instant glam look! Again I couldn't get over the price of just £8 - these are prices I'd happily pay in the sale! Definitely can't wait to pick up some more pieces from this range.

Blue Checked Shirt | £30.00 | LINK

Checked shirts are everywhere at the moment and I decided to pick up this lovely blue, white and red patterned one with pearl poppers. I'm not a huge fan of the red checked shirts as they feel very "lumber jack" looking to me haha! So I've been on the hunt for a nice blue coloured one and was very happy to stumble across this one. I think these look so cute worn undone with a simple plain top on underneath paired with jeans and boots - the perfect Autumn outfit! The material is really lovely plus I find it fits really well both worn undone and buttoned up.

Pale Blue Faux Fur Collar Button Coat | £69.00 | LINK

I remember seeing these coats last year and thought they were so cute and classy! During the Autumn/ Winter I always tend to stick with my parkas but when it comes to going to a nice event or out for a meal, I always feel a bit frumpy wearing one! So when an email came through saying these coats were half price I thought I would snap one up straight away! I think this coat will be perfect for going out as it's definitely quite dressy and not something I would wear on a day to day basis. The fur around the collar is so soft and the baby blue colour is really pretty and will help make this a coat that's perfect right through to Spring! These coats do seem to come up a bit big but as I'll be living in jumpers and wearing lots of layers in the cold months, it's probably for the best so that it actually fits!

Miss-Selfrdige-Haul-Black-Sleeveless-Duster-Jacket-Belle-Amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog
Black Sleeveless Duster Jacket | £28.00 | LINK

The final piece in my haul is this simple black sleeveless duster jacket that's great for layering up over t-shirts. I'm a bit late to this whole duster jacket business but I always found that ones I tried on came up super long and made my legs look really stumpy! This duster jacket however is a really flattering length plus is made from a thicker material so will (sort of) help keep you warm during the Autumn. I think these paired with long sleeve tops looks really nice and with a statement necklace they're great day to night outfits!

So that's everything I've picked up from Miss Selfridge over the past few weeks! I absolutely love everything I've bought and can't wait to start wearing it all over Autumn and Winter!

Thanks for reading!

Everyday Favourite Lipsticks

Current-Favourite-Daytime-Red-Pink-Lipsticks-Soap-And-Glory-Revlon-Bourjois-Maybelline-Belle-Amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog

We're currently in a very awkward stage of the year where the weather is pretty much every season in just one day. In the mornings it seems like an obvious choice that a jumper is the best way to go, but by mid-afternoon you're highly regretting that choice and envy anyone you see wearing a Summer dress! I find this also seems to go with makeup as during the Winter months I love rocking a bold vampy lip but because we haven't quite reached that chilly stage just yet, I feel a bit OTT wearing one everyday. This has lead to me hunting through my lipstick collection for some perfect "in-between season" lipsticks that give me that lovely Autumnal colour yet still have a slight Summery edge to them!

Current-Favourite-Daytime-Red-Pink-Lipsticks-Belle-Amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog

I've picked out 5 of my most used lipsticks that I've been reaching for recently. I've noticed I tend to stick to a more glossy finish as there's only 1 matte lipstick in my selection. However this definitely changes when we're fully into the Winter months, so I'll probably do a favourite matte lipsticks post soon!

Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie | LINK | Review
This is such an oldie but definitely one of my favourite ranges of lip products. The Revlon Lip Butters are super smooth and nourishing plus give you a lovely hint of colour. I've been reaching for the shade Berry Smoothie a lot recently as it gives a slight berry colour to my lips. As it's not an intense colour, it still gives that Autumnal berry shade but as it's more of a tint and has a glossy finish, it still looks really pretty on sunny days!

Soap & Glory Gloss Stick in Pink Punch | LINK
From an old product to a new one, these little Gloss Sticks by Soap & Glory are some of my newest additions to my makeup collection. Out of the 3 I have Pink Punch is the shade I've been reaching for the most as it's the most pigmented out of the selection I own. Even though this is quite a bright pink shade and would look amazing during the Summer, I still think it's easy to pull off at this time of the year. Again these have an amazing smooth formula and their compact size makes them perfect to throw in your handbag!

Bourjois Lip Crayon in Sweet Macchiato | LINK
I pretty much own nearly every shade of the Bourjois Lip Crayons so it was kind of hard not to include a couple of them! The first shade I've been using a lot is Sweet Macchiato which is a brown toned red/ nude which is super easy to wear everyday. Obviously brown toned nudes have been really in this year and this is a really easy way to pull off the trend with minimal effort.

Bourjois Lip Crayon in Plum Russian | LINK | Review
The other shade that's a firm favourite for me is Plum Russian. This is more of a vampy plum shade that's lovely for both day and night as it's easy to build up the colour. Even though it's quite a dark shade, the glossiness of the lip crayons make this a great transitional colour to wear at this time of the year. With their amazing hydrating formula and even SPF, these are a great lip product to have all year round!

Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick in Keep It Classy | LINK | Review
My final lipstick in this post is probably the most "Autumny" shade out of the bunch! Keep It Classy from Maybelline's Color Drama Lipstick range is a gorgeous deep toned berry shade that has a matte finish. This little pencil form lipstick offers a tonne of colour, pigmentation and staying power and is definitely a range of lipsticks that I'd highly recommend! I will probably keep using this well into the Winter time, but even now I think this is a lovely shade to wear if you do feel like wearing a darker Autumn shade!

Current-Favourite-Daytime-Red-Pink-Lipsticks-Swatches-Belle-Amie-UK-Beauty-Fashion-Lifestyle-Blog

So these are a few of the lipsticks that I keep reaching for during this transitional time into Autumn. I would love to hear what lipsticks you have been wearing recently and whether you've tried any of these products before!

What are your current favourite lipsticks?

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons Autumn Edition Red Island Plum Russian Review Swatches Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello everyone! A few months ago I wrote a review about some of the Color Boost Lip Crayons from Bourjois' original line of lip crayons. They have now brought out 2 new shades for the Autumn and of course I had to pick up both of them! The Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons have to be one of my favourite lip products I've tried as their formula is so lovely and I find the shade selection is really good - everything from oranges, pinks and now to berry tones. The 2 new shades that Bourjois has released are perfect for this time of year which is how I knew that I had to have them both in my collection! I will go into some depth about their formula just in case you haven't read my last post (which you can read by clicking here).

The 2 new available shades from the Bourjois lip crayon range are: "Red Island" and "Plum Russian". Red Island is a gorgeous bright red that I think will be absolutely perfect for Christmas time. If you're one to shy away from wearing bold red shades then this lip crayon should help ease you into wearing them a bit more. As it has a balm finish, the colour isn't as intense as a regular lipstick so you should find it a lot more comfortable to wear! Plum Russian is a beautiful deep berry shade that's amazing for both the Autumn and Winter months. I've been wearing Plum Russian both during the day and at night and I have to say it's such a versatile shade to have in your collection. Again as it has that balm like finish, the colour isn't so "in your face" yet is still pigmented and gives your lips a good amount of colour. I think the 2 shades that Bourjois have brought out are really nice and both of which are colours that I like to wear on a regular basis at this time of the year.

As for the formula of the Color Boost Lip Crayons, they're a mixture of a lipstick, gloss and balm. They have a really lovely colour pay off with a glossy and moisturising finish, so these are the perfect lip products to pop in your handbag for touch ups throughout the day! They say that these last for around 10 hours which I wouldn't completely agree with but they do have a really good staying power considering they are just lip crayons. They also have a SPF of 15 which is perfect for protecting your lips from the sun all year round!

Finally the packaging of the lip crayons is really nice. The colour of the tube is the same colour as the actual product so you can always find the shade you're looking for if you're rummaging around in your drawer of lipsticks! They also wind up by twisting the silver part at the bottom of the tube which means you don't have to sharpen them. I also find that the lids are very secure and never come loose when they're in my handbag which is great!

Overall I absolutely love the new Color Boost Lip Crayons and I can't wait to see what shades Bourjois might bring out next season - hopefully some pastels for Spring! I think these are one of the nicest lip crayons on the market and I really don't mind parting with just under £8 per crayon as they really are worth the money. Thank you for reading and don't forget to check out my last review of the original shades from Bourjois's lip crayon range if you want to find out more about them shades!

Have you tried the new Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon shades?

Autumn Payday Wishlist

Autumn Payday Wishlist Oasis NYX Dermalogica Bourjois Essie Topshop Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well and had a lovely weekend! It's currently half term and I'm really looking forward to a week off from college work and just being able to relax. It's also payday this week and over the past month or so I have been working up a little wish list that I thought I would share with you all! It's mainly products that I think would work really well during the Autumn time so I thought it would be useful for those of you looking for some new beauty, skin care or fashion pieces this season!

1. Oasis Ellie Faux Fur Lined Parka in Kahki | LINK
This gorgeous parka has been on my wish list for so long and I think that I will finally treat myself to it this payday! I know parkas are really popular at the moment and I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and invest in a good Winter coat. I haven't bought myself a new coat in a couple of years so I really wanted to treat myself with my next one. I love the fact that the fur lining is detachable which makes it perfect for all different temperatures during the Autumn, Winter and even Spring - it's hardly ever warm in the UK haha!

2. NYX Pressed Powder Blushers in "Angel" and "Mocha" | LINK
The other day I spotted a discounted makeup shop had opened up in my town centre so I popped in and finally picked up my first ever NYX products (blog post coming soon!). After trying the ones that I have, I really want to go back and pick up a few more blushers before they're all sold out! I was debating between a few different shades and two that I'd left behind were Angel and Mocha. I thought that they would be perfect blushers to use all year round as they're so natural looking. The formula of these blushers is amazing, probably one of the best I've tried!

3. Dermalogica Skin Kit for Dry Skin | LINK
I recently had an email from Dermalogica which contained a £10 off voucher on any of their Skin Kits, so naturally I have to buy one! Even though I wouldn't class my skin as completely dry, I think that their Skin Kit for dry skin would work the best with my skin type. The Dry Skin Kit contains: Essential Cleansing Solution, Multi-Active Toner, Intensive Moisture Balance, Gentle Cream Exfoliant, Intensive Eye Repair and a couple of samples.
I have only tried a couple of these products before so it will be nice to see how the rest of them work on my skin!

4. Bourjois Lip Crayons in "Rouge" and "Prune" | LINK
I absolutely love the Bourjois Lip Crayons (see my review HERE) and I was so excited to see that they has released two new shades for Autumn! Rouge is a pillar box red shade that will be so pretty for the Christmas season. Prune is a deep plum shade that will be perfect for this time of the year, so I can wait to pick both of these up! They both have a hydrating formula will leave your lips feeling soft, supple and looking great despite all this cold weather we're having.

5. Essie Nail Lacquers in "Toggle To The Top" and "Mind Your Mittens" | LINK
Essie always bring out some amazing collections and from their Winter collection there are two that have caught my eye. Toggle To The Top is a beautiful sparkly red that will be perfect for the Winter time, especially for Christmas day! Mind Your Mittens is a deep diamond black teal colour and is a shade I don't think I have in my collection. I think both of these polishes look very pretty, despite being completely opposite in colour!

6. Topshop Lips Lipstick in "Wicked" | LINK
The final beauty item on my payday wish list is the Topshop lipstick in Wicked. I was looking through my Topshop lipsticks the other day and noticed that all of them were Summer shades that I can't really wear in the Autumn time! So I had a good look through their website and spotted this pretty burgundy shade that I knew I would get tonnes of wear out of at this time of the year. I love the formula of Topshop's Lips Lipsticks and that they stay put for ages, so I can't wait to try this shade!

So these are a few things that I really want to try this Autumn. Of course, there is the whole matter of saving up for Christmas presents so I don't know how many of these I'll actually get round to buying haha! If you have made a wish list recently then please leave the link below, I love reading these kinds of posts! I hope you enjoyed today's post and I will speak to you all very soon.

What's currently on your Autumn wish list?

Hey everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely week and looking forward to the weekend ahead! Today's post is actually my 200th blog post, I seriously cannot believe I've posted that many times in just over a year - it's crazy! So today I wanted to share with you some of my favourite lipsticks I have been using over the Autumn months. I always get so excited for Autumn and Winter as it's the time of year you can get all of your berry and plummy coloured lipsticks out and have a good play around with your makeup looks. Some of my favourite lipsticks I own are my deep reds that I only bring out at this time of year, so I'm really excited to be sharing them with you!

MAC Lipstick in "Ramblin' Rose" | LINK | LOOK
So to start off my top 5 lipsticks for the Autumn and Winter is actually a lipstick that I think is perfect for all year round. I received Ramblin' Rose during the Summer and thought that it suited tanned and glowing skin really well. However, this lipstick is also a perfect Autumn time rosy nude shade because it has a gorgeous golden frost finish that makes your lips sparkle! Frost lipsticks look lovely in the Autumn time and I think this lipstick is that perfect everyday lipstick that goes with so many makeup looks.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in "Drop of Sherry" | LINK
My next lipstick is probably the oldest out of the 5 and is this gorgeous deep pink toned red which has a hint of shimmer. This is such an easy lipstick to wear as it's pretty much a "your lips but a million times better" lipstick! I picked this up in a set from TK Maxx ages ago but I do believe you can still buy it in the shops. If I don't want a really intense red lip, say when I go to college, then this is the shade I usually go for!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Lipstick in "107" | LINK
Next up is the shade I go to when I want the complete opposite to "Drop of Sherry" and want to wear an intense and full red lip, this is Rimmel Kate lipstick in "107". What Autumn lipsticks post would be complete without this beautiful shade? This infamous lipstick has an amazing colour pay off and gives your lips a deep and full red look with a matte finish. This is probably a lipstick I wear more towards Winter when it's more of the festive season. I absolutely love this formula of lipstick and I think their wear time and pigmentation are amazing!

Soap & Glory Super-Colour Fabulipstick in "Pom Pom"* | LINK
The next lipstick I have been loving to wear recently is the newest addition to my collection and is Soap & Glory's "Pom Pom". This is a gorgeous deep berry pink shade with a matte finish and I for one think it's beautiful! This is the first Soap & Glory lipstick I've tried and I think the formula is amazing - much better than what I was expecting after trying the Mother Pucker lip glosses! I think matte lipsticks are a perfect formula for this time of year because a deep glossy lip never looks right on me, so I have to go matte or shimmery or nothing at all!

Makeup Academy Lipstick in "Shade 8" | LINK | LOOK | REVIEW
My final favourite lipstick for the Autumn and Winter months is probably my most favourite lipstick I own - and it's the cheapest! MUA's "Shade 8" is a deep pink toned red with a lot of golden shimmer in it - it's pretty much the perfect Christmas time lipstick! Despite it having a lot of shimmer in it actually applies really smooth and feels lovely on the lips. I always get compliments when I wear this shade and I highly recommend you adding it to your collection, especially as it's only £1!

So these are my top 5 lipsticks that I'm currently wearing and all of which are perfect for the Autumn and Winter months! If you would like to see any of these lipsticks in a more in depth review, then do let me know in the comments below!

Each polish after 1 coat
Hello lovelies! I cannot believe how quick Summer has gone (in fact, 2013 is going way too fast!) and that I'm now thinking of Autumn and Winter kind of posts. If you read my blog, you may remember that I did a Spring and Summer nail polish post where I talked about my top 5 polishes of those seasons. I thought it would be good to keep these kinds of posts going and chat to you all about what nail polishes I'm going to be loving for the cooler months! I had a good rummage through my box of polishes and found a few that I'm really excited to start wearing again this Autumn/ Winter. I probably could have included another 5 berry shades and another 10 glitter polishes, but I narrowed it down to my top 5!

Butter London Nail Lacquer in "Shambolic"
I found this nail polish on sale last year and I instantly fell in love with it. It's a gorgeous deep golden purple glitter polish that works really well over other purple toned polishes. It has different sized bits of glitter in and can be built up to an opaque finish in a couple of coats. This is the type of polish I like to wear on my ring finger nails as an accent polish, but it can easily be worn on all the nails for a glitzy look!

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in "Plum" | Review | LINK
I love deep, rich shades for the Autumn time and I think Barry M's Plum is going to be my go to purple shade this year! The thick and creamy consistency of this polish means it looks great in just 1 coat plus with the glossy finish, there's no need for a top coat. I think this will be a great partner for Butter London's Shambolic.

Barry M Nail Paint in "Amethyst Glitter" | LINK
This polish is probably one of my all time favourites as it contains a range of gorgeously coloured glitters! Everything from pink to navy to gold, it's a glitter top coat that can work with a range of coloured nail polishes. Glitter polishes in the Autumn/ Winter time are a staple for me, especially around Christmas time! I think this polish will look it's best with a deep, navy shade.

Barry M Nail Paint in "Raspberry" | LINK
Yet another Barry M nail polish. I just think their colour and glitter ranges are amazing for this time of year and I'm really looking forward to their new collections for Autumn! Barry M's Raspberry is quite a popular nail polish, especially for the Autumn time as it's a gorgeous berry toned raspberry polish that looks stunning on the nails. I've been really looking forward to using this polish again and I've definitely missed using it through the Summer!

Nails Inc Nail Lacquer in "Chelsea Manor Street"* | Review
My final top nail polish for Autumn/ Winter is probably my favourite out of the bunch - Nails Inc's Chelsea Manor Street. Metallics are a really popular shade for this time of year and I think the gunmetal colour of this polish is gorgeous! Also, it has tiny specks of glitter in which makes this polish look amazing on the nails. It has a creamy and opaque formula and is one of my favourite nail polishes to use.

So these are my top 5 nail polishes for the Autumn/ Winter time! I really can't wait to start painting my nails with all different deep toned and glitter polishes, it makes a good change from wearing bright colours all the time. I hope you enjoyed this post and I would love to hear what your favourite polishes are for the Autumn/ Winter time!

Primark Clothes Haul

Hi everyone, I hope you're having a lovely start to your weekend! So over the last few weeks I've been shopping in my local Primark and I'm really impressed with some of the pieces I have found. My main aim was to find a new dress for my first day at my new job plus some chunky knits for this Autumn/ Winter. Of course being me, I couldn't resist putting some other bits and bobs into my basket, so I came out with more than I expected to!

Blue Floral Cut-Out Dress | £17 reduced to £5
This is probably one of the best bargains I have found in Primark recently! I spotted this blue floral dress poking out of the sale rail and grabbed it straight away. I had seen Fleur (Fleur De Force) mention this dress a few times saying it was one of the nicest dresses she'd bought from Primark. It's in a gorgeous blue watercolour effect floral print and has cut-outs on the upper chest and back which are both very flattering. It finishes just above the knee and is one of those pieces that would be perfect for any occasion as it's so easy to dress up or down. I do wish it was still summer as I don't think I can wear this dress until next year, but I will be looking forward to it!

Navy & Red Print Cut-Out Dress | £13
I've been wanting to buy this dress for ages now and I finally found one in my size! This dress has a very pretty navy, red and white print which is perfect for this time of year. It also has triangle cut-outs on the waist which would have been great for the summer time, but for Autumn it can be quite chilly to wear! I'll probably pair this with some thick black tights and a cardigan during the colder months.

Printed Camis | £5 each
I've been obsessed with buying sheer printed camis recently and these are the three newest additions to my collection! At £5 each they are such a bargain as compared to places like New Look, a plain one can cost around £12 which is ridiculous! These camis look great paired with either jeans, skater skirts, shorts - anything really! They're such versatile pieces to have in your wardrobe and can add a splash of colour to any outfit.
I highly recommend you checking out them in your local Primark!

Wine Lace Top | £6
I love the colour of this lace top and I think it's a simple but pretty everyday kind of piece. It's quite a loose fit so is baggy and very comfortable to wear. As it's a lace effect top, you do need to wear a cami underneath because it's quite sheer. I would wear this with some jeans, a chunky knit cardigan and a statement necklace to add a bit of glam to a simple outfit.

Penguin Jumper | £14
This is the first jumper I've bought for this Autumn/ Winter and I personally think it's so cute! It's rather pricey for Primark but I think it's completely worth it, especially as it's not an itchy or uncomfortable material. The penguin is made from an even softer material and has little sequins on the belly - such a perfect jumper for this time of the year!

Bambi & Thumper Pyjama Top | £5
I couldn't resist picking up this Bambi pyjama top, it's just too cute! I absolutely love Disney characters and Bambi is one of my favourites. Primark have some really nice pyjama sets in at the moment and it's pretty much the only place I buy mine!

Bird & Blossom Scarf | £4
The final piece I picked up was this really pretty bird and blossom print scarf. I thought this would be really nice to add to a simple black dress or just to use now that it's getting a bit colder! Primark scarfs are always such a bargain as they're so cheap and they have so many different prints.

So this is everything I've picked up from primark recently! I hope you liked this haul and do let me know what you think about the clothes I've bought!

Have you bought anything from Primark recently?
