Hello everyone! I would like to start this post with a massive thank you to you all for helping me reach over 1000 followers through gfc! I'm so happy to have reached such an amazing milestone in this short amount of time (my blog will be 11 months old tomorrow - almost a year!). I really can't believe so many of you enjoy reading my rambles on here and I wish I could give each and everyone on of you a hug! Thank you so much!

Today's post is all about my top lipsticks for Spring and Summer! You may have seen my Spring & Summer Nail Polishes post, so you could call this the next post of the series. During the Spring and Summer I love wearing bright lipsticks, especially hot pinks and oranges! I've picked out a few lipsticks I have loved ever since last year, plus a couple that I've recently picked up and have been using non-stop!

Revlon Lip Butter in "Wild Watermelon" [Review] LINK
I'm a massive fan of the Revlon Lip Butters and think they're one of the most perfect lip products for Spring and Summer. Their formula is smooth, moisturising and give a lovely amount of colour to your lips! The shade "Wild Watermelon" is a bright red/ pink which looks amazing at this time of year. You may have read in my April favourite's that I like to pair this with Benefit's Benetint to give it an extra pop of colour as on its own, it can look a little sheer! This shade is part of the limited edition Spring/ Summer collection, so I would recommend you trying this out as soon as you can!

Revlon Lip Butter in "Tutti Frutti" [Review] LINK
"Tutti Frutti" was on of my first lip butters I bought last year after as this is when I started to wear more orange toned lipsticks. This lip butter is a bright orange shade that is very nicely pigmented with just a few coats! It has the same moisturising formula as "Wild Watermelon" which makes it feel very nice on the lips. If you're someone who wants to venture out into bright shades this Summer, this is the perfect lip product for you as you can build up the intensity of the colour to suit your preference!

Lipstick Queen in "Fly"* [Review] LINK
"Fly" has featured in my favourites posts before and is really a perfect all-year-round lipstick. It may look like a standard pink lipstick, but the reason why I love it so much for Summer is because it has turquoise shimmer running through it which makes your teeth look whiter! It really brightens up your smile as well as looking pretty on your lips. I also love the formula and pigmentation of this lipstick; it really is one of the nicest products I've tried!

Topshop Lips Lip Tint in "Crystal" LINK
This is my most recent purchase and has quickly jumped into my "favourite lipsticks" category! "Crystal" is a lip tint that reacts to the PH-balance of your lips to create a unique shade of pink that suits you! It also contains a lot of glitter (which surprisingly doesn't feel rough on your lips at all) and makes your lips sparkle in the sun light. This really is a gorgeous lipstick, even just to look at, and I can't wait to use it more over the Summer months! I already have my eye on picking up "Jewel" which is the orange version of this lipstick, it looks amazing!

Topshop Lips Lipstick in "Infrared" [Review]
My final Spring and Summer lipstick in the infamous "Infrared" by Topshop. I love this lipstick to bits and think the red/ orange tone suits my skin very well. The formula is also very smooth, pigmented and has a velvet finish which I really like. "Infrared" is probably my most worn lipstick during the Summer time and would highly recommend it to anyone who's thinking of trying it out!

So there's my favourite lipsticks for Spring and Summer time! I hoped you found this post useful if you were looking for some new lip products to try for the warmer months. Thank you for reading and I'll talk to you in my next post!

February 2013 Favourites Rimmel Urban Decay Barry M Makeup Academy Lipstick Queen Review Belle-amie
February has been a really nice month for me in terms of beauty products. I've tried quite a few new products, but also rekindled my love for some older ones that have been hidden away in my makeup drawers! Now that it's (sort of) making its way to Spring time, I have been using some of the brighter and more colourful products in my collection. This post will show you want products I have been loving and using this month!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 100 Ivory LINK
This is the foundation I have been reaching for the most this month. In the Winter, I feel that my skin looks dull and pale so I use the Wake Me Up foundation to add a glow to my skin. This foundation has tiny bits of shimmer in to give you a dewy effect to your skin, so is perfect for perking up my dull complexion at this time of year. I also love the medium coverage it gives and how easy it is to blend with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush (these two products were made for each other!).

Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm* LINK
You may have read the review I recently did of this product and seen how much I enjoy this beauty balm! I've used this nearly everyday for the best part of February as a primer underneath my Wake Me Up foundation. I love these two products together as the Urban Decay balm allows my foundation to apply really well and last all day. You can read my full review of this product HERE.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Blueberry LINK
When I first tried this nail polish, I was quite disappointed with the formula and how thin it was. However, now that I have learnt to apply it thicker and build up the colour, I absolutely love it and has been the nail polish I've reached for the most this month! Like I've said in many posts, I'm loving blue nails at the moment and this is one of the prettiest shades I own. The main look I've done with this polish is painting all my nails with Blueberry and then using Barry M's Amethyst Glitter on my ring finger. Definitely try that out if you have the polishes!

Makeup Academy Lipstick in Shade 8 LINK
I've been loving wearing lipstick this month! I've featured this lipstick in a favourites post before and I must say, this is one of my favourite lipsticks I own. I love the deep red shade and that it has lots of gold glitter in! This was my staple Christmas time lipstick, but I still enjoy wearing it now. It has great pigmentation and is very comfortable on the lips. I highly recommend MUA lipsticks and you can read my review of them HERE.

Lipstick Queen Butterfly Ball Lipstick in Fly* LINK
Yet another lipstick, but this time, it's pink! I received this lipstick last year but didn't seem to use it that much. However, for February, this has become my every day lipstick! The colour is a sheer bright pink and looks beautiful on the lips. It's such an easy shade to wear with an amazing formula and think it will suit most skin tones. You can read my review and lip look with this lipstick HERE.

Pretty Pink Lip | Lipstick Queen & DuWop Venom Gloss Review

Lipstick Queen swatch | DuWop Venom Gloss swatch | Lipstick Queen & DuWop Venom Gloss together
I'm always on the look out for products that work together to create a perfect combination. I'm a huge fan of lipstick and slowly getting there with lip gloss, and I love finding a lipstick and gloss that compliment each other really well. I've recently been wearing this pretty lip look which I have created from two new products; a Lipstick Queen lipstick and a DuWop Venom Gloss lip gloss.

The Lipstick Queen lipstick is part of the Butterfly Ball collection and is in the colour Fly. This lipstick is a bright pink shade with glitter in. It also has a turquoise iridescence running through it, which gives it a beautiful shimmer and when on the lips, makes your teeth look brighter. I have definitely noticed this effect and think it's a lovely extra to a lipstick.
The formula of the lipstick is very moisturising as it has vitamin E and aloe vera in it. It glides on really easily as well for quick application. It's also quite a sheer lipstick (like a butterfly's wing), but the colour is definitely buildable for a more intense pink look. As the product is quite sheer, the staying power of the product isn't amazing, probably a couple of hours before you need a touch up.
I also love the purple packaging. It feels very sturdy and strong, so will last a long time. I love the simplicity of the product and how small it is, so it's perfect to throw in your handbag for touch ups throughout the day.

The DuWop Venom Gloss in Pink Champagne is a perfect match for the lipstick. It's a pretty pink colour with golden shimmers in it. The formula of this lip gloss is amazing. I haven't found it to be sticky at all and it's sheer enough to go over any lipstick, but gives it an extra hint of pink. I also love the spicy smell of this lip gloss and think it's perfect for this time of year.
The applicator of this product isn't the most expensive looking, but it is great for applying on the go. I also like the fact the tube is see-through so you easily know which colour you're picking out from your makeup bag.

Together these two lip products create a pretty, shimmery pink lip that I think is perfect for any time of year.
