Autumn Payday Wishlist

Autumn Payday Wishlist Oasis NYX Dermalogica Bourjois Essie Topshop Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well and had a lovely weekend! It's currently half term and I'm really looking forward to a week off from college work and just being able to relax. It's also payday this week and over the past month or so I have been working up a little wish list that I thought I would share with you all! It's mainly products that I think would work really well during the Autumn time so I thought it would be useful for those of you looking for some new beauty, skin care or fashion pieces this season!

1. Oasis Ellie Faux Fur Lined Parka in Kahki | LINK
This gorgeous parka has been on my wish list for so long and I think that I will finally treat myself to it this payday! I know parkas are really popular at the moment and I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and invest in a good Winter coat. I haven't bought myself a new coat in a couple of years so I really wanted to treat myself with my next one. I love the fact that the fur lining is detachable which makes it perfect for all different temperatures during the Autumn, Winter and even Spring - it's hardly ever warm in the UK haha!

2. NYX Pressed Powder Blushers in "Angel" and "Mocha" | LINK
The other day I spotted a discounted makeup shop had opened up in my town centre so I popped in and finally picked up my first ever NYX products (blog post coming soon!). After trying the ones that I have, I really want to go back and pick up a few more blushers before they're all sold out! I was debating between a few different shades and two that I'd left behind were Angel and Mocha. I thought that they would be perfect blushers to use all year round as they're so natural looking. The formula of these blushers is amazing, probably one of the best I've tried!

3. Dermalogica Skin Kit for Dry Skin | LINK
I recently had an email from Dermalogica which contained a £10 off voucher on any of their Skin Kits, so naturally I have to buy one! Even though I wouldn't class my skin as completely dry, I think that their Skin Kit for dry skin would work the best with my skin type. The Dry Skin Kit contains: Essential Cleansing Solution, Multi-Active Toner, Intensive Moisture Balance, Gentle Cream Exfoliant, Intensive Eye Repair and a couple of samples.
I have only tried a couple of these products before so it will be nice to see how the rest of them work on my skin!

4. Bourjois Lip Crayons in "Rouge" and "Prune" | LINK
I absolutely love the Bourjois Lip Crayons (see my review HERE) and I was so excited to see that they has released two new shades for Autumn! Rouge is a pillar box red shade that will be so pretty for the Christmas season. Prune is a deep plum shade that will be perfect for this time of the year, so I can wait to pick both of these up! They both have a hydrating formula will leave your lips feeling soft, supple and looking great despite all this cold weather we're having.

5. Essie Nail Lacquers in "Toggle To The Top" and "Mind Your Mittens" | LINK
Essie always bring out some amazing collections and from their Winter collection there are two that have caught my eye. Toggle To The Top is a beautiful sparkly red that will be perfect for the Winter time, especially for Christmas day! Mind Your Mittens is a deep diamond black teal colour and is a shade I don't think I have in my collection. I think both of these polishes look very pretty, despite being completely opposite in colour!

6. Topshop Lips Lipstick in "Wicked" | LINK
The final beauty item on my payday wish list is the Topshop lipstick in Wicked. I was looking through my Topshop lipsticks the other day and noticed that all of them were Summer shades that I can't really wear in the Autumn time! So I had a good look through their website and spotted this pretty burgundy shade that I knew I would get tonnes of wear out of at this time of the year. I love the formula of Topshop's Lips Lipsticks and that they stay put for ages, so I can't wait to try this shade!

So these are a few things that I really want to try this Autumn. Of course, there is the whole matter of saving up for Christmas presents so I don't know how many of these I'll actually get round to buying haha! If you have made a wish list recently then please leave the link below, I love reading these kinds of posts! I hope you enjoyed today's post and I will speak to you all very soon.

What's currently on your Autumn wish list?

Hey everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely week and looking forward to the weekend ahead! Today's post is actually my 200th blog post, I seriously cannot believe I've posted that many times in just over a year - it's crazy! So today I wanted to share with you some of my favourite lipsticks I have been using over the Autumn months. I always get so excited for Autumn and Winter as it's the time of year you can get all of your berry and plummy coloured lipsticks out and have a good play around with your makeup looks. Some of my favourite lipsticks I own are my deep reds that I only bring out at this time of year, so I'm really excited to be sharing them with you!

MAC Lipstick in "Ramblin' Rose" | LINK | LOOK
So to start off my top 5 lipsticks for the Autumn and Winter is actually a lipstick that I think is perfect for all year round. I received Ramblin' Rose during the Summer and thought that it suited tanned and glowing skin really well. However, this lipstick is also a perfect Autumn time rosy nude shade because it has a gorgeous golden frost finish that makes your lips sparkle! Frost lipsticks look lovely in the Autumn time and I think this lipstick is that perfect everyday lipstick that goes with so many makeup looks.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in "Drop of Sherry" | LINK
My next lipstick is probably the oldest out of the 5 and is this gorgeous deep pink toned red which has a hint of shimmer. This is such an easy lipstick to wear as it's pretty much a "your lips but a million times better" lipstick! I picked this up in a set from TK Maxx ages ago but I do believe you can still buy it in the shops. If I don't want a really intense red lip, say when I go to college, then this is the shade I usually go for!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Lipstick in "107" | LINK
Next up is the shade I go to when I want the complete opposite to "Drop of Sherry" and want to wear an intense and full red lip, this is Rimmel Kate lipstick in "107". What Autumn lipsticks post would be complete without this beautiful shade? This infamous lipstick has an amazing colour pay off and gives your lips a deep and full red look with a matte finish. This is probably a lipstick I wear more towards Winter when it's more of the festive season. I absolutely love this formula of lipstick and I think their wear time and pigmentation are amazing!

Soap & Glory Super-Colour Fabulipstick in "Pom Pom"* | LINK
The next lipstick I have been loving to wear recently is the newest addition to my collection and is Soap & Glory's "Pom Pom". This is a gorgeous deep berry pink shade with a matte finish and I for one think it's beautiful! This is the first Soap & Glory lipstick I've tried and I think the formula is amazing - much better than what I was expecting after trying the Mother Pucker lip glosses! I think matte lipsticks are a perfect formula for this time of year because a deep glossy lip never looks right on me, so I have to go matte or shimmery or nothing at all!

Makeup Academy Lipstick in "Shade 8" | LINK | LOOK | REVIEW
My final favourite lipstick for the Autumn and Winter months is probably my most favourite lipstick I own - and it's the cheapest! MUA's "Shade 8" is a deep pink toned red with a lot of golden shimmer in it - it's pretty much the perfect Christmas time lipstick! Despite it having a lot of shimmer in it actually applies really smooth and feels lovely on the lips. I always get compliments when I wear this shade and I highly recommend you adding it to your collection, especially as it's only £1!

So these are my top 5 lipsticks that I'm currently wearing and all of which are perfect for the Autumn and Winter months! If you would like to see any of these lipsticks in a more in depth review, then do let me know in the comments below!

What are your favourite lipsticks to use during the Autumn and Winter time?

Get To Know Me | Beauty Blogger Tag

Get To Know Me Beauty Blogger Tag Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hey everyone, I hope you're all had a lovely week! Sorry for the lack of posting recently, it's been so hard to find a spare minute to take some photos and actually write! I thought that for today, I would a do a "get to know me" tag post as they're really fun to do and I for one find them interesting to read. It's always nice to know more about the person behind the blog! I haven't seen loads of people do this tag but if you're up for putting this on your blog as well, I'd love to read your answers!

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
My hair is very curly, but because it's quite long it does weigh itself down quite a bit so they're quite loose curls. When I had my hair cut really short back when I was about 14, it was so curly that I would have little ringlets! I'm really tempted to have my hair cut quite short again as it gave my hair so much texture and it was a lot easier to work with. What do you guys think, should I stay with long hair or go short?

2. Do you dye your hair yourself or go to a salon?
I've never actually dyed my hair before, I've only ever ombred it and that was using the L'Oreal Wild Ombres home kit. It was really easy to use and did make my hair go a lot lighter, so I would completely recommend it! My hair is way too dark to dye with home kits anyway so I've never seen the point of doing it. I'm really tempted to get some kind of highlights put through my hair though (especially if I get it cut short) so that I can keep it quite tonal because my natural hair colour is rather boring!

3. Do you wear the same style everyday, or do you change it?
I try to change up my hair everyday, especially as I have to have it up for college. My normal hair styles are just down and wavy with a few sections clipped back, a messy bun, a messy pony tail or a fishtail braid - nothing too adventurous!

4. Do you do your own manicures and pedicures or do you go to a salon?
Even thought I'm a beauty student I have never had my nails done in a salon, which I think is quite strange! I just like doing my own nails as I'm not that bad at painting them, plus it's a lot cheaper. I am tempted to have gel nails done in a festive pattern for Christmas though!

5. How often do you change your nail polish?
I don't wear nail polish everyday of the week because I'm not allowed to wear it at college, so I would say I change it once or twice a week, depending if I'm in the mood to paint!

6. Do you paint your toes in the Winter or just in the Summer?
I was actually thinking about this yesterday because I haven't painted my toes in ages! I love wearing red nail polish on my toes in the Winter, makes me feel all Christmasy. I always have my toes painted in the Summer thought because you tend to have your feet more exposed then, unless you like to wear sandals in the Winter...

7. Do you plan your outfit of the day the night before or just decide when getting dressed?
I only ever plan my outfits if I'm going somewhere nice the next day, I've never seen why people would spend their night planning what they're going to wear the next day! I usually go with whatever I'm feeling or if I've bought a new top then I will just wear that.

8. How often do you change of your handbag?
I usually match up my handbag with whatever I'm wearing, so that's how often I would change it! When I go to college I usually just take the same bag because I know everything I need fits into it. I'm currently using my Cath Kidston Day Bag which is in a deep blue colour with a peachy pink floral pattern on - it's so pretty!

9. How long does it take you to put on your makeup?
If I'm in a rush in the morning and want to do a simple look, then it might only take me 15 minutes to do my makeup. If I have time to do it properly, say on a night out, it can take me about 30 to 45 minutes!

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
I always do my face makeup first! I know you're meant to do eyes first so that you can tidy away any fall out from your eye shadows, but I can't get into the habit of doing that! I always do: face, eyebrows, eyes, cheeks and then my lips.

11. Do you collect makeup or do you just buy what you need when you need it?
I wouldn't say I actually collect makeup (even though I call it my makeup collection!) because I usually just buy the makeup that I want. I feel that if you actually collect makeup, you can just buy for the sake of buying which is something I very rarely do! Of course I also buy my makeup that I need, like foundation or concealer, when I need it as well.

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Not very often if I'm honest! I have such sensitive eyes that I find them far too heavy and uncomfortable to wear! I'd rather just wear more mascara than usual if I want to go for fuller looking lashes. If I could find some lashes that were comfortable and actually stayed glues to my eyes, then I would probably wear them more on nights out!

13. Do you wear a full face of makeup everyday?
Nope! If I'm not going our for the day and I'm just at home, then I'll wear pretty much no makeup. If I'm having a really bad skin day (or week, like I'm having right now!) and I need to pop to the shops, then I'll just wear a little bit of foundation just to make me feel better!

14. Will you leave the house without makeup?
If I'm having a good skin day then I'm more than happy to leave the house with no makeup on. If I'm planning on going out, then I'll usually pop a little bit of makeup on just to give me a confidence boost!

15. How many high end products do you own?
I really do not know the answer to this! Quite a few to be honest because ever since I started blogging I have really gotten into using more high end products. I don't own anything too fancy like Estee Lauder or Chanel, just higher end brands like Urban Decay and Benefit!

16. What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
Ahh, my sleeping pattern is all over the place at the moment! Some nights I can go to bed at like 10 and others it won't be until about 1 or 2 in the morning. I do find it quite hard actually getting tired sometimes which is really annoying because it leaves me exhausted the next day! I'm also getting up really early at the moment and can't seem to sleep past 9 - so annoying when I have a day off!

17. How many pets do you have?
If you've read any past tag posts then you might know that I live on a farm! I have a dog and cat plus some chickens and geese, so I have quite a lot of pets haha! I did also have some ducks, turkeys and a few quails which were really cute - they were like chubby sparrows!

18. How often are you on Blogger?
Even though I only post a couple times a week (if that!), I do read my Blogger dashboard pretty much everyday! I like using it to keep up to date with blogs because it's really simple to use. I also schedule a lot of my blog posts, so I do tend to work on certain posts over a few days.

19. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
If this means comments on other people's posts, then yes I do tend do read a few of the comments just to see what other people are saying about the post's topic. If this means my own comments on my posts, then yes! I read every single comment and I do reply to all of your questions - so always check back if you ask me one!

20. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
I get asked this question fair amount, so for anyone who doesn't know, I use the Nikon Coolpix L310 Bridge Camera! It's a really good camera with simple settings yet takes lovely photos! It's quite cheap as well considering how well it works.

I hope you enjoyed this tag! I did shorten it down a little bit as other posts I have seen have around 30 questions to answer, so I picked my favourite 20 out of them! Please do let me know if you do this tag as well - I tag all of you who read this post to answer these questions! If you do answer them then do leave the link in the comments below and I will come a have a nosey at your answers.

I hope you all have a lovely day and I'll speak to you in my next post!

Outfit Of The Day Bagable Bags Nica Bettina Small Satchel Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hey everyone, I hope you're all well. Being a girl I have a huge love for hand bags, however they are one of the main fashion pieces that I very rarely buy for myself. I was recently contacted by Bagable which is a family run company that sells branded bags at discounted prices. I was able to choose a bag from their website and the one I chose the Nica Bettina Small Satchel in the colour tan. I've always loved how satchels looked and that they were so old school and cute! I've also never tried a bag from Nica before, but I have heard of it and knew it is a good quality brand.

The Nica Bettina Small Satchel is a beautiful bag that is well made and has plenty of room considering it's much smaller than most of my other hand bags! The outside of the bag is made of a strong synthetic material that looks and feels like leather. It has has two little decorative straps with gold hard wear on the front which do not secure the bag - there is a magnetic popper that does this. It also has a small decorative lock with "Nica" engraved on to it which again, doesn't actually secure the bag, but is a lovely feature and completes the overall look of the satchel! On the main strap of the bag there is a gold hard wear buckle which allows you to adjust the length to suit your needs (mine is set on the middle hole in the pictures above, so it can be made much shorter or longer).

As for the inside of the bag, it is lined with a gorgeous olive colour Nica print with floral patterns, birds and flamingos all over it! The lining feels luxurious and is so pretty for this time of year. There are two separate sections in the small Bettina satchel: one main compartment which also has an open pocket that's perfect for popping your phone into and a zipped pocket. In this main compartment I can easily fit my: purse, phone, keys, compact mirror, iPod and a roll on perfume and still have space for a few more pieces. The other compartment is at the front and is perfect for popping my diary and pen into! I love that this satchel is so small and simple, yet I can fit most of my "essentials" in it. It's the kind of bag you can use for almost any occasion and I think the tan colour will go with so many different outfits.

The only problem I have with my satchel is that there is a small scrape on the leather above the lock which was there before I unwrapped it. This is a shame as the bag retails for £44.10 on the Bagable website and despite it being 10% cheaper than the RRP, at that price you would expect it to be perfect! I still think the bag looks amazing and of course this small scrape won't stop me from using it!

Overall I absolutely love my Nica Bettina satchel! I think it's so sweet and the perfect bag for taking to work or on a shopping trip! I'm so impressed by how well this bag is made and that it feels like such nice quality -  it's defintely worth the £49.00 price tag (or £44.10 on Bagable).

As an extra special treat for all of my readers, if you order any bag from Bagable you can receive 10% off by using the discount code:

Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eye Shadow Concealer Primer Shade Light Medium Swatch Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to be reviewing a product that I've been using for pretty much 10 months solid. This is the Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eye Shadow & Concealer Primer and I'm sure many of you will have seen this little beauty mentioned a few times on my blog. I received a mini sample of this around Christmas time and ever since then I've been hooked on using it and would never wear eye shadow without it! For my birthday I received the full size version in Light/ Medium so now I can finally review it properly for you all!

I'm someone who swears by primers and I always think they make your makeup look a hundred times better! The Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer is a skin coloured primer which helps cover up imperfections and allows your makeup to stay all day. The creamy texture of this primer means it's really easy to blend into your skin and helps create an even and smooth base for your makeup. As it is slightly tinted, it does offer a hint of coverage which is great for anyone who suffers with under eye circles like myself. It also comes in a Medium/ Dark version, so there is another option if your skin is slightly darker. As you can see from the swatches above, one blended it looks completely natural and doesn't leave your eyes feeling cakey or heavy which I think is really important in a product like this. It also dries pretty much instantly so you can go ahead and apply any eye shadow or concealer straight away!

In terms of whether it helps my eye shadows and under eye concealer stay, it really does! Whenever I use this primer I know that my makeup will last me all day, even if I'm busy at college or work. It also allows my eye shadows and concealer to apply so much smoother so that they look even and flawless! I also think this is a great product to use on small areas of the face, for example if you have a blemish that you want your concealer to hide all day, this will be the perfect product to help do this!

As for the packaging of the Stay Don't Stray I have to say I really like it. I believe this primer used to come in pump form but they recently changed it to a doe-foot applicator. This means you can use the right amount of product you need and you can apply it directly to your eye area instead of pumping out too much product and wasting it!

So overall, I think the Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer is amazing! I really do think it's worth the £20.50 price tag and I would happily keep repurchasing it in the future. I know you can get much cheaper eye shadow primers (MUA's one is £2.50) but the texture and effect of the Benefit one is just too lovely not to use! I highly recommend this product, especially if you're looking for an amazing primer that really does work!

Sure Maximum Protection Anti Perspirant Review Product Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well! Now reviewing a deodorant or anti-perspirant may seem a little odd, but it's a product that pretty much everyone uses and for some people finding the right one is so important. Keeping that fresh feeling all day can be quite hard when using a standard deodorant, so a few months ago I started to use maximum protection anti-perspirants instead. I was recently asked to try out a couple of the Sure Maxiumum Protection Anti-Perspirants and see how fresh they kept me during my busy days at college and work!

The two anti-perspirants I was sent to try are in "Sensitive" and Sure's new scent "Everyday Fresh". The Everyday Fresh version has the "busy people" in mind and aims to keep those who are constantly working and on the go stay fresh. The Sensitive version has those with delicate underarms in mind yet still provides strong protection from sweating. Both versions have a lovely fresh scent that lingers on the skin for quite a long time leaving you smelling great! Each anti-perspirant comes in a white wind up tube with a secure lid. I find that I only need around 2 clicks of product for each underarm and then I'm good to go! I also find that the product itself is creamy and moisturising on my underarms and doesn't leave them feeling dry or tight which you can get with some strong anti-perspirants.

Sure Maximum Protection Anti-Perspirants work by you applying it at night so that whilst you sleep, it can work its magic and actually help prevent you from sweating the next day. In the morning, there is no need to reapply any deodorant (even after showering) as the Sure anti-perspirants are strong enough to leave you feeling fresh all day! When I first tried these maximum protection anti-perspirants, I felt so nervous about skipping wearing deodorant in the morning and was constantly paranoid that I wouldn't stay fresh - but you do! For the majority of the day your underarms are left feeling fresh and only towards the end of the day would I feel the need to reapply some normal spray deodorant. You can also apply a small amount of the Sure anti-perspirant in the morning if you need that added protection, and I have to say doing this leaves my underarms dry all day!

Overall I'm a big fan of these maximum protection anti-perspirants and I don't think I could ever go back to just using a normal deodorant - they just don't give as much protection! I think these anti-perspirants would be great for people who are conscious of perspiration and want to help combat it. I would highly recommend anyone trying these Sure Maximum Protection Anti-Perspirants if they want that fresh feeling all day long!

September Favourite's

September 2013 Favourite's Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
September 2013 Favourite's Freederm Body Shop L'Oreal Stila Bloom Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Today I'm going to be talking about my favourite beauty products for the month of September! I can't believe it's October already and before we know it, it's going be Halloween, Bonfire night and then Christmas - it's all going so fast! This month I've been loving a few new products and one old product that's been a staple in my beauty bag for a while. The majority of my favourites this month are skincare items as this month my skin has been absolutely awful! I've been on the hunt for some new products to clear up my skin again and thankfully two of them have worked really well! Anyway, enough rambling, let's get into the post!

Bloom Cosmetics Lip Butter in "Queen of the Night"
Bloom used to be a brand sold in Superdrug, however I believe it's now discontinued and can only be found online. During the time that my Superdrug were clearing out all of their Bloom stock, I found these little pots of lip butters and fell in love with the shade "Queen of the Night".
It's a gorgeous berry tint that's perfect for this time of year as it gives you an autumnal flush of colour to your lips. They're also really moisturising and taste amazing! It's the perfect product to keep in your handbag for touch ups throughout the day.

Stila "In the Light" Eye Shadow Palette | LINK
How I have ever done my eye makeup without using the Stila "In the Light" palette, I will never know! It has a gorgeous selection of neutral eye shadows that work for any occasion. "Kitten" and "Sunset" are my two most used in the palette as they're so soft and pigmented and are the perfect shades for a daytime look. I'm going to be reviewing this palette soon on my blog and will hopefully create a few eye shadow looks you can do with this palette, so if you're interested do keep an eye out!

Freederm Fast Track Spot Gel | LINK
The other day I spotted that the Freederm range was half price in Superdrug, so I decided to give this "Fast Track" spot treatment a go. Like I said, my skin has been playing up so much recently and I wanted to find something that would calm it back down. I'm so surprised at how well this treatment actually worked! Usually these "rapid action" kind of treatments seem like a gimmick, but this one really does work! It reduced my blemishes in just a few days and has left my skin looking clear again! Highly recommend this if you're looking for something to help your blemishes.

The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream | LINK
About a week ago I received a voucher in my emails that allowed me to pick up a Body Shop hand cream completely free, so of course I jumped at the chance! I chose the Almond Hand & Nail cream as my hands and nails can get very dry in the colder months. This hand cream smells amazing and leaves my hands feeling so soft! I've been using it non-stop ever since I picked it up so I had to include it in my September favourite's!

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution | LINK
My final favourite of the month is the infamous L'Oreal Micellar Solution. Last month I featured the L'Oreal Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and because I loved that so much, I decided I would try out the micellar solution as well.  This removes every pieces of my makeup and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. I can see why so many bloggers rave about this product, and I'll definitely be adding to the amount of raving reviews soon!

So these were my favourite beauty products of September. Do let me know if you would like to see any of these products reviewed or if there's anything here that you love as well! I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll talk to you in my next one.

What are your September beauty favourites?
