Hello lovelies, I hope you're having a great start to your weekend. Today I'm going to be doing my August beauty favourites! August has been a really good month this year: at the beginning I was on holiday in Majorca and it was also my birthday so I took my first "proper" trip to London and saw The Lion King in theatre! As well as all this, there have been a few new beauty products that I've fallen in love with, from makeup to skincare.
So if you would like to find out more about these products, then carry on reading!

Sleek Blush By 3 in "Sweet Cheeks" | Review | LINK
This was a limited edition blusher palette by Sleek and I'm not completely sure whether you can still buy this in store. You can however still buy this online so I thought I would mention this gorgeous little palette! Despite being a cream blush lover during the Summer months, the two blushers that I've been reaching for the most is "Dolly Mix" and "Candyfloss" which are both pink powder blushers. I've been loving applying "Dolly Mix" across my cheeks and then adding a hint of "Candyfloss" on to the apples of my cheeks for an extra pop of pink! I find it leaves a natural rosy glow to my skin which I think is very pretty for this time of year.

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons in "Red Sunrise" & "Orange Punch" | Review | LINK
I'm pretty sure every blogger and their dog has fallen in love with these little beauties! These lip crayons offer a gorgeous hint of colour to your lips and leave them feeling so soft and smooth. I've been liking "Orange Punch" as an everyday orange colour and "Red Sunrise" for when I want a more vibrant lip. These are both amazing lip products and I would highly recommend you trying them!

MAC Lipstick in "Ramblin' Rose" | Look | LINK
This is my very first MAC lipstick and I'm absolutely in love with it! Ramblin' Rose is a very pretty shimmery rose shade that is perfect for everyday. I like to wear this when I'm going for a more natural look and I think it will be my go to lipstick for when I'm back at college!

L'Oreal Gentle Eye Makeup Remover | LINK
I've recently seen a lot of talk and reviews about the L'Oreal makeup removers. I spotted that they were half price in Sainsbury's a while ago and thought I would try out the eye makeup remover version as it said it was suitable for sensitive eyes. This is actually the first eye makeup remover I've tried and I'm actually really enjoying it! I find it removes mascara, eye liner and eye shadow really easily and hasn't left my eyes feeling uncomfortable or dry. I'm very tempted to pick up the L'Oreal Purifying Micellar Water for the rest of my makeup and hopefully ditch my beloved makeup wipes!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in "On And On Bronze" | LINK
My final favourite of the month is my newest purchase, the Maybelline Color Tattoo in "On And On Bronze". I picked this up a couple weeks ago and have used it pretty much every time I've done my makeup since! It's the perfect shade to wear either alone, under eye shadows as a base or as a lid colour. It has a really creamy and pigmented formula that's easy to work with. These Color Tattoos are definitely worth all the blogging hype they receive and I'm planning on picking up some more soon!

So these are a selection of beauty products that I've been really loving this month! I hope you enjoyed this post and I would love to hear about what products you were loving during August!

What are your August favourite's?

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well and enjoying this gorgeous weather we're having today. I can't believe I haven't posted in over a week and it actually feels a little odd to be writing a post again! As you may know, it was my birthday on the 22nd August and it turned out I had a very busy weekend ahead of me, so I couldn't find much time to write a post. But I'm back today with a birthday haul plus a couple of things I picked up around my birthday. I am by no means bragging or boasting about the presents I received, so if you are someone who doesn't like these sorts of posts then please feel free to skip this one - there are plenty of other posts on my blog you can read!

Ted Baker Leda Large Wash Bag | LINK
You may have seen in my wish list post that this was the present I was really hoping to get and thankfully my boyfriend did! This Ted Baker wash bag is absolutely gorgeous and is the perfect size to fit all my makeup and beauty essentials for a weekend away. I actually used this for when we travelled to London to see The Lion King (which is amazing!) and I loved it! This is definitely something I'll get tonnes of use out of.

Nails Inc French Manicure Collection | LINK
I absolutely love Nails Inc polishes so I was really happy that my family found this French Manicure Collection. It comes with everything you need to create the perfect french manicure: South Molton Street (pale pink), Floral Street (white), Albert Bridge (speed dry top coat), a cuticle pen and a nail file. Each of the polishes are full size and it all comes in a pretty silver bag which I'm sure will come in handy. I haven't tried this properly yet but if you would like to see how I do my french manicures using this set, let me know in the comments!

Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer | LINK
This is my favourite eye shadow primer so I'm really glad to have it in the full size! I've had a sample size ever since Christmas and it's lasted me so well considering I use it pretty much everyday. I will definitely review this soon as it is a product I love!

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation Sample | LINK
When my mum bought the Benefit primer she was also able to pick me up a little sample of the Hello Flawless foundation! I have tried this foundation before but the shade I have is way too dark for me. This sample is in "Believe In Me" Ivory and is a perfect match! The coverage and finish is really nice and now I'm very tempted to pick up the full size (my poor purse!).

Real Techniques Starter Set | LINK
I've needed some more eye shadow brushes in my collection so I'm really glad I received the Real Techniques Starter Set! These brushes are so soft, work really well and are completely versatile. I highly recommend Real Techniques makeup brushes, they're the nicest brushes I've owned!

Cath Kidston Set Of 3 Notebooks & Pen | LINK
I know these aren't really beauty related but I love Cath Kidston products so I thought I would include them! I received these gorgeous notebooks and pen from my neighbour and they're going to be perfect for college in September. I also think one of these will become my new blogging notebook as my old one is getting quite full now!

Maybelline Color Tattoos in "On And On Bronze" & "Metallic Pomegranate" | LINK
The last few items are products I picked up myself on a recent trip to Boots! I had a little bit of birthday money so I decided to finally pick up the Color Tattoos in these two gorgeous shades. "On And On Bronze" is a beautiful bronze/ gold which is perfect for everyday and "Metallic Pomegranate" is a deep berry shade that will be a great Autumn/ Winter colour!

Maybelline Baby Lips in "Pink Punch" | LINK
Maybelline was on a 3 for 2 offer in Boots so naturally I wanted to pick up a Baby Lips to see what all the fuss was about! This was the only tinted shade left and is a pretty natural pink shade. I'm not blown away by this lip balm - yes it feels nice on the lips, has a nice colour and is relatively cheap, but I don't think I'll be picking up any more of these as they're a pretty standard product!

Stila "In The Light" Eye Shadow Palette | LINK
The final thing I picked up in Boots was the Stila "In The Light" palette. This is something that's been on my wish list for a long time now so I'm really excited to have it in my makeup collection. The shades in this palette are all neutral and it kind of reminds me of the Urban Decay Naked palette. You also get a Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Damsel which is a dark brown shade, perfect for everyday wear! This is a gorgeous palette and definitely one everyone needs in their life!

So these are a selection of things I got for my birthday and I'm really grateful for everything I received! I would also like to say thank you to everyone who wished me happy birthday either through Twitter, Instagram or on my blog! I hope you liked this post and maybe gave you a few ideas about what to buy someone for their birthday. If there are any products you'd like to see a full review on, please do let me know!

My 19th Birthday Wishlist

My 19th Birthday Wishlist Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well and had a lovely weekend. In just 2 days it's going to be my 19th birthday and I thought I would share some of the beauty products that are on my wishlist. Just a quick mention, I am by no means expecting to get this many presents for my birthday (I think I would have to be extremely lucky to be able to!) but these are some products I've been lusting after for quite a while now. Plus, as I rarely do wishlist posts I thought I would share what sorts of beauty products I've wanted to try recently!

1. MAC Lipstick in Vegas Volt | LINK | - this lipstick has been on my wishlist for absolutely ages - most likely since I discovered coral lipsticks! From swatches I've seen, it's a gorgeous coral shade that I think will be perfect for the summer time. Yes, summer is very nearly over but I still like to wear bright lipsticks on nights out as they suit me a lot better than darker shades.

2. Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer | LINK | - I've mentioned this primer so many times on my blog and it is definitely the best I've tried. I got a little sample of this at Christmas time and I'm still using it. I thought this would be a good time to finally have the full size in my collection.

3. Benefit Feelin' Dandy | LINK | - this little kit contains 4 products that I have never tried from Benefit so I thought it would be a great way to finally try them all out. Posie Tint has always caught my eye when passing a Benefit counter and as I love my Bene Tint and Cha Cha Tint, I really want to give it a go! I would also love to try the Benefit blushers as I've heard amazing things about them!

4. Ted Baker Leda Large Washbag | LINK | - every time I see a beauty blogger or vlogger with this wash bag, I fall in love with it even more! It's perfect for travelling and you can even use it as a giant makup bag. It's such a beautiful product and this is something I really hope I do get this year!

5. YSL Manifesto EDP | LINK | - okay, this is something I definitely know I am not getting for my birthday! I absolutely adore this perfume but I just don't get why it has to be so expensive. Every time I'm in a department store I always have to spray myself with this gorgeous scent - it's so nice! Maybe one day I will treat myself to this perfume, but for now I think I'd rather spend my pennies on something cheaper.

6. Essie Nail Lacquers in Naughty Nautical & Sunday Funday | LINK | - when I saw the new Essie summer collection, these were the two shades that really stood out to me. Naughty Nautical is a beautiful shimmery blue/ green shade and Sunday Funday is a shimmery soft coral. I love Essie nail polishes and I think these would be two gorgeous additions to my collection.

7. Benefit Sugarbomb Face Powder | LINK | - this is the last of the Benefit products - I swear! I just love their makeup and I could pretty much buy every product they made. When I had my makeup done at a Benefit counter a few months ago this was the blusher that I had put on. I completely fell in love with it and very nearly bought it but the price kind of put me off, especially as it was the first time I'd even seen it properly. Now after wanting it for so long, I know that I need this in my life and I would love to receive this for my birthday!

8. Real Techniques Starter Set For Eyes | LINK | - I've had the same 3 or 4 eye brushes for quite a while now and I thought it was about time to try some more. I've heard amazing things about the Real Techniques Starter Set so I just had to put it on my wishlist! I'm a huge fan of these brushes and I recently made a post about my collection which you can read here.

So these are a selection of beauty products that I would absolutely love to receive for my birthday. If you have tried any of these products I have mentioned, please do let me know what you think of them. I hope you enjoyed this post and if you like me doing wishlist posts, let me know in the comments! I very rarely do these but I had a lot of fun making and writing this one so I may do more in the future!

What's on your wishlist at the moment?

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons Red Sunrise Orange Punch Peach On The Beach Swatches Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely start to your weekend! Today I'm going to be reviewing some of my new favourite lip products; the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons. On a recent trip to Boots I spotted that the Bourjois stand had a 3 for 2 offer across all their makeup, so I snapped up 3 of these lip crayons plus a free pair of sunglasses - £16 well spent I think! I have never actually tried any form of balm stain before and after hearing so many raving reviews from other bloggers, I knew that I had to jump on the bandwagon and finally try them out.

The Bourjois lip crayons come in 4 different shades: Red Sunrise, Orange Punch, Peach On The Beach (the 3 I have) and Fuschia Libre. All of these shades are perfect for the summer and are great for adding a hint of colour to a makeup look. Red Sunrise is a pinky red shade that is very pigmented considering it's just a balm stain. Orange Punch is an orange tint that almost transfers as a coral when applied to your lips. This is a very pretty everyday orange shade and is good for those who wouldn't want to wear a bold bright lipstick. Finally (and probably the most famous out the bunch) Peach On The Beach is a beautiful peachy pink shade that gives a tint of colour to the lips and is perfect for everyday.

These lip crayons are kind of like a mixture between a lipstick, lip balm and lip gloss - they have a very soft and smooth formula which gives a lovely amount of colour and shine to the lips. They're not at all sticky and just feel like you're wearing a smooth lip balm. They also have a really nice fruity scent which is subtle and pleasant. One other thing I like about these lip crayons is that they also have SPF 15 so will help keep your lips protected from the sun. Finally Bourjois claims that these lip crayons are water-proof and will last on your lips for a massive 10 hours!

At first I was very sceptical about this claim as I thought these lip crayons wouldn't be that strong - but they are! I am so impressed with the formula of these lip crayons and they literally stay on your lips for a good few hours even after eating or drinking. Red Sunrise is definitely the most impressive out of the 3 I have and is always the shade that seems to last the longest. As for the other 2, they don't last as long but I think that's because their colours aren't as strong or pigmented so I do find I have to keep replying them throughout the day.

As for the packaging, each lip crayon comes in a tube of the same colour as the actual product. To get more product out the tube you simply twist the bottom silver part of the tube. You also get a fair amount of product - much more than the average lipstick so these are really worth £7.99.

Overall I am so impressed with these lip crayons! In fact, I've been rather impressed with a lot of Bourjois' latest beauty releases and I would also love to try their bronzing primer - it sounds amazing! I would highly recommend you trying out the Color Boost Lip Crayons, especially if you're after a wearable product that will give your makeup a hint of colour for the summer.

One Dress, Three Outfits | Avenue 32

Hello everyone, I hope you're all well! One of my favourite fashion posts I like to read on other blogs is the "one dress, three outfits" post. This is where you take one dress and then create three completely different looks with it. I was contacted by Avenue 32 and asked whether I would like to do this kind of post using the designer clothes they stock on their site. I was really excited to make this post as I have been wanting to do one like this for a long time, so I hope you enjoy it!

The dress I chose was the White Speed Flare Dress by a fashion designer called Chalayan. I thought this was a simple yet very pretty piece that I knew I could make three gorgeous outfits from. I was able to chose any accessories from the Avenue 32 website and I literally spent hours scrolling through and picking out pieces I thought would make the three perfect outfits.

Daisy Head Band | Apple Bag | Heart Bangle | Monocle Ring | Cascade Ring | Gladiator Sandals

The first outfit I came up with was "Summertime Romance". This is perfect for the summertime when you are simply going to be out and about and you want to look summery. I kept to a gold and white theme to keep the outfit looking fresh and clean. The sandals work so well in this outfit as they bring these white and gold shades together. I'm also in love with the daisy head piece and I think it adds a real summery feel to the outfit.

Cropped Leather Jacket | Cobalt Leather Bag | Stud Necklace | Spike & Blue Gem Bracelet | Double Draped Ring | Black Leather Heels

Next up, I wanted to do something completely different compared to the first look and I have called this "Leather Chic". I love the idea of pairing a pretty, girly dress with a leather jacket as it really adds a bit of edge to an outfit. I also went with some blue and silver accessories which were mainly based around the blue leather bag (which is stunning!). I finally added some black heels to make this outfit perfect for day or night time.

Black Clutch | Gold Diamond & Pearl Spike Cuff | Stud Earrings | Sparkly Gold Ring | Pink Stilettos

The last outfit idea I had in mind was a "Girls' Night Out" outfit which would be perfect for going out for drinks and a dance with your friends. I kept the bag quite simple by using a black clutch and then I added a pop of colour by pairing the dress with these beautiful pink heels. With accessories I wanted a statement bracelet and I thought this golden spike cuff was perfect! I also added some simple golden studs and a sparkly golden ring to add a bit of glam to the outfit!

So these are the three outfits that I came up with! I have to say I would wear all three of these and I think they would look stunning for each of the occasions I picked them for. If you are interested in seeing the rest of Chalayan's collection then do check out the Avenue 32 website. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you got some inspiration on how to style a white skater style dress. If you would like to see more of these kind of fashion posts then please let me know in the comments below!

What is your favourite outfit out of the three I have come up with?

Real Techniques Brush Collection

Real Techniques Makeup Brush Collection Core Collection Brushes Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog
Real Techniques Makeup Brush Collection Blush Stippling Expert Face Brush Review Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a lovely start to you weekend. Today I thought I would make a post all about my Real Techniques makeup brush collection. The first time I tried Real Techniques was last Christmas when I asked for the Core Collection for a present. Ever since then I've fallen in love with these gorgeous brushes and I've constantly been on the hunt for new ones to add to my collection. There are still a few more I would like to add to my mini collection, but right now I'm really happy with what I have!

Core Collection | £21.99 | LINK
So like I said, these were the first brushes I tried by Real Techniques and it is definitely a set worth picking up. In this collection you get: a Buffing Brush, a Contour Brush, a Pointed Foundation Brush and a Detailer Brush plus a little brush holder to keep them all safe whilst travelling.

Buffing Brush - This is the brush I use to apply my everyday foundations or BB creams. I find it gives a natural and flawless finish to the skin and is probably the best brush I've tried to apply my foundation. It's not a very dense brush (compared to the ever so similar Expert Face Brush) but it is extremely soft. I wish they sold this brush separately because I would love to have another one in my collection.

Contour Brush - This brush does exactly what it says, allows you to contour your cheeks, jaw line and any other areas you wish to define. I used to use this brush all the time for contouring but now I use it to apply powder highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones. It buffs out the highlighter really well to give a natural glow to my cheeks. The brush I currently use to contour will be mentioned later!

Pointed Foundation Brush - I hardly ever use this brush which kind of frustrates me because it's not a bad brush, I just can't find a use for it! It's meant for applying liquid foundations, but for me it's just too small and leaves my skin looking a bit patchy. Many people use this as a concealer brush but I prefer to apply my concealer with my fingers and then buff it in with the Buffing Brush. If you have found a great way to use the Pointed Foundation Brush, please tell me in the comments below!

Detailer Brush - This brush is designed to apply small amounts of makeup to create a flawless finish. I actually prefer to use this brush to apply an inner corner highlighters to my eye. It's the perfect shape and size to apply the right amount of product to make you look more awake.

Brushes Sold Separately
As well as brush collections, Real Techniques also sells a wide range of brushes you can buy on their own. I only have a few of these as they do range from around £6.99 to £12.99 so can become expensive very quickly. However, they are amazing quality so do work out good value for money.

Blush Brush | £9.99 | LINK - This is another brush that says exactly what it does! I use this to apply my powder blushers to the apples of my cheeks and I find it blends them out beautifully. It's a very soft brush so allows your blusher to blend into your makeup seamlessly.

Stippling Brush | £11.99 | LINK - The stippling brush is a versatile brush that can either be used for liquid foundations or applying cream blushers. As I love my Buffing Brush for my foundation, I use this brush to apply my cream blushers and I have to say, it does it so well! The bristles are so soft but at the same time dense which allows your makeup to apply smoothly and look amazing.

Expert Face Brush | £9.99 | LINK - The final brush in my collection is my newest edition and it is the Expert Face Brush. I had been eyeing this brush up for such a long time after hearing it was pretty much the best brush in the range! I was very lucky to win this in a giveaway recently and now I'm so glad to be able to use it! This is the brush I like to contour and apply powder bronzer with. It's very dense and again, like all the Real Techniques brushes, it is also soft. I'm not a fan of using this brush to apply foundation, but it is amazing to contour with and I absolutely love it!

So this is my Real Techniques brush collection plus a mini review on each of the brushes. Real Techniques is definitely one of my favourite makeup brush brands as they're amazing quality and at such a good price. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you now what to try out some of these makeup brushes!

Hello lovelies, I hope you're all doing well. A few days ago I came back from my holiday to Mallorca! I thought I would make a little post about my holiday and include a few photos that I took whilst I was away. I had such a lovely time in Mallorca and the weather was absolutely amazing and hot - too hot on some days when it reached the high 30's! Apparently they've been having crazy hot weather over there for the past month and when we were leaving we were told it was meant to be getting even hotter (thank goodness for air conditioning, that's all I can say!).

I went with my boyfriend and his family and we all stayed in a really nice villa in Cala Egos which was a short bus journey (in the shape of a train, very touristy haha!) to Cala d'Or. There was lots of little shops and restaurants and one our last night there was also a huge market along the main street that sold all kinds of hand-made jewellery and little souvenirs. We were also very close to a couple of beaches and harbours which were lovely to sit by and walk along during the evening when it was cooler. It was a pretty relaxed holiday and we spent a lot of time sunbathing by the pool, walking around the town and having nice food and drinks! I had a such a nice time and now looking back through my photos, I can't wait to go back on holiday again!

I'm currently Lookfantastic's blogger of the week! If you would like to go and read about some of my favourite beauty products from their website, click here!

Are you going away on holiday this year?

Nails Of The Day OPI Nail Lacquer You're Such A Budapest Swatch On The Nails Belle-amie UK Beauty Fashion Lifestyle Blog

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to write a post about my first ever OPI nail polish! OPI is a high end nail polish brand which until now, I haven't got round to trying. I was recently able to choose any shade I liked from the Half Price Perfumes website and the one that stood out the most to me was You're Such A Budapest. I've heard some lovely things about this shade and I thought it looked perfect for the summer time. I've wanted to try OPI nail polishes for such a long time so I was very excited to be able to try this gorgeous shade.

You're Such A Budapest is a pastel lilac shade that has tiny pieces of shimmer in. It sort of reminds me of Essie's Bikini So Teeny, just more on the lilac side rather than blue. I love these sorts of shades for the summer and I think they compliment my skin tone really well. This polish hasn't got the thickest or creamiest formula I've tried, but is still easy and smooth to apply. It takes around 2-3 coats to make it completely opaque and it dries quickly with a glossy finish. I do wish that the shimmer was more noticeable once on the nails but I think it still looks very pretty. What amazed me about this OPI nail polish was how long it lasted on my nails! It took a good few days to start chipping and even then it was only slightly on a couple of nails, and that was without wearing a top coat! I'm really impressed with the OPI nail polish formula and I can see why it's such a popular nail care brand. As for the packaging, the brush is quite wide so makes applying the polish easy and quick. I also love the OPI nail polish bottles and think they look gorgeous when you see them lined up together in beauty salons! You also get 15ml of product which is quite a bit more than standard nail polishes (usually being around 10ml) so you are getting amazing value for your money!

I absolutely adore this nail polish and I know I'm going to get so much wear out of it during the rest of summer. OPI nail lacquers retail for £11.50 but on the Half Price Perfumes website you can pick one up for just £6.99 - bargain!

What are your thoughts on OPI's You're Such A Budapest?
What's your favourite OPI polish?

Hello everyone, I hope you're all well and having a lovely weekend! I'm finally back from my holiday to Mallorca and I had such a lovely time! I'm planning on making a little post about my holiday, so if you're interested in the more lifestyle posts then keep an eye out for that. I also hope you enjoyed my guest bloggers and their posts and that you found some lovely new blogs to read. Last but not least, thank you so much for over 1,000 followers on Blog Lovin'! I'm so amazed as to how many of you are following my little corner of the Internet. So to thank you all properly, I'm going to do a giveaway here on my blog which will celebrate reaching over 1,000 GFC and Blog Lovin' followers, so keep an eye out for that too!

Today's post is about a makeup look that I have been wearing pretty much every time I do my makeup. It's very simple yet includes one of my new favourite products - my very first MAC lipstick! A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a giveaway by the lovely Charlotte from Cosmetic Charlotte on YouTube, and amongst the amazing selection of prizes was the MAC lipstick in Ramblin' Rose. This isn't a shade I have heard much about, but I have fallen in love with it and I cannot wait to try some more shades out!

Ramblin' Rose is a natural shimmery rosey shade that also has a slight coral tone to it. It's one of those shades that would suit any skin tone as it's so natural looking on the lips! I loved wearing this lipstick on holiday (I wore it pretty much every night!) as it complimented my tanned skin really well and added a nice glow to my face. I've also been trying out H&M's Bronzing Powder which I also won in the giveaway and I have to say I'm really impressed! This is a matte bronzer that can be used all over the face for an extra glow or used as a natural looking contour. It's highly pigmented and a little goes a long way - for £2.99 this huge compact will last a long time and is great value for money! I really recommend you trying out this brozing powder if you're looking for a new one.
